Test of High-pressure Acid Leaching of Congo (Kinshasa) Heterogenite

Abstract：The Congo(Kinshasa) heterogenite pretreated by roasting was taken in the test of high-pressure acid leaching to obtain leaching solution, for investigating influences of sulfuric acid concentration, liquid-solid ratio and leaching time on the leaching rates of valuable elements and impurity elements. The results shows that with sulfuric acid concentration at 0.2 mol/L, liquid-solid ratio of 10∶1 and leaching time of 180 min, the leaching rates of cobalt, copper, nickel, iron and magnesium reach to 92.8%, 96.7%, 95.3%, 2.3% and 2.5%, respectively. The high-pressure acid leaching can realize efficient recovery of valuable elements and their preliminary separation from impurity elements such as iron and magnesium.
