      提出了一种应用于大单元间距平面相控阵体制的新型圆极化(CP)喇叭单元。该圆极化喇叭单元由阶梯金属膜片圆极化器和经过变形的角锥喇叭级联而成。为抑制角锥喇叭辐射出的高次模电磁波,提高辐射效率,在传统角锥喇叭天线口面加载了金属十字框和介质盖板。同时,为抑制单元安装间隙带来的电磁泄漏及寄生谐振,在传统角锥喇叭天线侧壁增加金属边框,并通过调节边框的位置,使寄生谐振的频点可自由改变,进而移出工作频段。该圆极化喇叭单元口径大小为1.43λ×1.43λ(λ为空间波长),为验证其性能,采用金属铸造工艺加工装配成单元小面阵。该圆极化喇叭单元在24.5%的相对带宽即8.4-10.75 GHz 的频带内的实测扫描有源电压驻波比(VSWR)小于2.5,轴比(AR)小于3,增益大于11.6 dBi。对于大单元间距体制相控阵雷达,该圆极化喇叭单元具备良好的应用前景。

      In this paper, a novel circularly polarized (CP) horn antenna for the application of planar phased array with large element spacing is presented. The proposed CP horn antenna is cascaded by a stepped metal septum circular polarizer and a modified pyramidal horn. To suppress the high-order modes and improve the radiation efficiency, a metal cross and a substrate cover are added to the radiation aperture of the horn. In addition, by introducing a metal frame to the side of the horn, the parasitic resonance caused by the gaps between array elements can be tuned flexibly and moved outside the working band of the antenna. The aperture size of the proposed CP horn antenna is about 1.43λ × 1.43λ(λ is the wavelength in the air). To verify the performance, the proposed antenna is fabricated by metal casting process and assembled to small array. Within the bandwidth of 24.5% from 8.4 GHz to 10.75 GHz, the measured scan active voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) is below 2.5, the axial ratio (AR) is below 3 and the gain is above 11. 6 dBi. For large element spacing phased arrays, the proposed CP horn antenna has good application prospect.
