The paper evaluates the basic situation of national important drinking water source of Jiangxi province and the construction of safety guarantee up to the standard from four aspects of water quantity guarantee，water quality guarantee， monitoring guarantee and management guarantee， find out the problems in the construction of safety guarantee to meet the standard，and put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.The evaluation result is important to provide a scientific and reasonable basis for the decision-making of relevant management departments．
