含DC/DC变换器全钒液流电池储能系统安全充放电策略

摘要:

为了确保全钒液流电池(VRB)储能系统的安全充放电,提出含DC/DC变换器的VRB储能系统的不同充放电控制模式。在建立VRB等效电路并验证其有效性的基础上,提出内环为VRB侧电感平均电流控制,外环为恒功率、恒压、涓流切换控制的DC/DC变换器双闭环策略,并结合DC/AC网侧变换器维持直流侧电压恒定。以VRB荷电状态及端电压为约束条件,提出对应的三阶段安全充放电控制模式。以含DC/DC变换器的5kW VRB储能系统为例,对不同充放电切换控制下的VRB运行特性进行了仿真,并与传统恒定功率无切换充放电控制进行对比,分析了恒功率充放电模式下的控制策略的动态响应能力。结果表明,提出的含DC/DC变换器的VRB不同充放电切换模式能更好地使VRB工作在安全运行区域,且具有良好的充放电动态响应速度。

Safe Charge-Discharge Control Strategy for Vanadium Redox Flow Battery Energy Storage System with DC/DC Converter

Abstract:

In order to ensure safe charge-discharge of the vanadium redox flow battery(VRB)energy storage system,different charge-discharge control modes for VRB with DC/DC converter are proposed.Based on modeling of the VRB equivalent circuit and its validity test,a dual closed-loop strategy for the DC/DC converter is proposed,of which the inner loop is the average current control on VRB side inductance while the outer loop is a switch control by constant active power,constant voltage and trickle current.By resorting to the dual closed-loop strategy with the DC/AC grid side converter,the stability of DC bus voltage is maintained.Then,with VRB state of charge(SOC)and terminal voltage as constraint conditions,the corresponding three-stage safe control mode of charge and discharge is also proposed.Taking the5kW VRB energy storage system with DC/DC converter as the study case,the operational characteristics of VRB are simulated in the proposed switch control mode and compared with the traditional constant power charge-discharge control with no switch.The dynamic response of the control strategy is studied using the constant active power control mode.The results show that VRB is better enabled to operate in the safe region by the proposed charge-discharge switch modes for DC/DC converter control,which also ensure a quick charge-discharge dynamic response.
