含液晶层光子晶体的应用研究

摘    要:在由高纯硅和5CB 液晶组成的光子晶体中,掺杂一装有电极的5CB 液晶层作为调制层,由此构成了一针对特定波长(900 nm)的光子晶体开关。利用传输矩阵计算了其透射谱,结果表明:控制调制层上电压的有无就可以实现透射峰中心的移动,从而达到该开关的通断,当调制电压小于5V,还可以准确控制透射峰的中心位置。周期数增加,透射峰的中心位置保持不变,但其半峰全宽度变窄。该开关的结构周期以6~7 为宜,且有一定的角度宽容性,特别适合小角度入射的情况。这些现象为此类光子晶体实现高频开关提供了理论指导。

Abstract:Transmission spectrum was calculated using transfer matrix. The results show that by controlling voltage of the modulation layer, it's possible to achieve the movement of the center of the transmission peaks and the switching on and off. When the modulation voltage is less than 5 V, the center of transmission peak can be controlled accurately. When the number of cycles increases, the center of transmission peaks unchanged, but the full width at half maximum (FWHM) narrows, the switching cycle of 6 to 7 is appropriate. It has considerable angle tolerance, therefore it is suitable for the cases of small incident angle. It provides theoretical guidance for this type of photonic crystal to achieve high-frequency switching.
