Abstract:The thermal power unit larger than 1 000 MW has drawn world-wide attentions.Some 1 100 MW units are under construction in Europe,while the feasibility of manufacturing 1 200~1 400 MW units are under demonstration in China.Based on a study of the global state of arts technology of main thermal power units,the main technical problems for manufacturing boilers,turbines and generators larger than 1 000 MW are discussed.The possible largest capacity of boilers,turbines and generators that can be manufactured in the near future is proposed based on the present technology level of these equipment with reasonable improvement,as well as the present ultra-supercritical parameters(i.e.25~30 MPa,600 ℃).
