A circularly polarized stacked patch microstrip antenna and a 2?×?2 subarray for circular polarization are proposed in this paper. The proposed design has the input impedance bandwidth and axial ratio bandwidth of about 10% and 4.7% respectively. Circular polarization is obtained with the help of slits cut in the patch. A size reduction of around 37% is also achieved with the help of the slits. A subarray based on sequentially rotated feeding technique for circular polarization is also presented in this paper. Array element was deigned using a high dielectric constant laminate for feed network. In addition to low boresight axial-ratio, the subarray has impedance and 3-dB axial-ratio bandwidths of 12% and 8% respectively.  相似文献

In this communication, a full wave moment method solution for a probe-fed circular microstrip patch antenna, backed by a circular cavity both in single and in stacked configurations, is used to analyze the effect of a parasitic patch on antenna bandwidth. In addition, the effect of recessing a single patch into the antenna cavity is studied. In this paper, a single coaxial feed dual polarized triple band stacked microstrip patch antenna for wireless applications is presented. The proposed stacked antenna has two resonating elements with lower layer consisting of a truncated corner square patch and upper layer with an elliptical patch. Both the layers of proposed antenna are printed on RT Duroid® 5880 substrate (having ?r?=?2.2). The antenna shows triple band resonance at 4.2, 4.8 and 5.8 GHz with circular polarization behaviour at the first two resonances and linear polarization characteristic in the third resonance respectively. The typical realized gain of proposed antenna is around 7 dB in all three resonating bands.  相似文献

该文设计了一款C波段单馈寄生阵列的宽带圆极化天线。此天线采用紧邻的双层F4B介质基板,通过在方形驱动贴片上开槽及采用寄生阵列的设计实现了圆极化。对天线结构的设计步骤进行说明,研究了各结构对天线阻抗带宽和轴比带宽的影响,并研究了寄生贴片切角长度和驱动贴片上的缝隙宽度对天线轴比和带宽的影响。对天线的圆极化方向图进行了仿真。仿真结果表明,在5.5 GHz时实现了右旋圆极化,最大增益为8.1 dBi。加工并测试了宽带圆极化天线,测试结果与仿真结果基本相符,天线实测的阻抗带宽为1.3 GHz,轴比带宽为1.26 GHz。设计的叠层天线具有结构紧凑,装配简单和轴比带宽大的优点。  相似文献

A stacked slot antenna is proposed and studied to improve the performance of a circularly-polarised (CP) annular-ring slot antenna that has the disadvantages of a narrow bandwidth, a lower gain and bidirectional radiation. The stacked antenna structure is composed of a circular wide slot, a parasitic patch and a metallic reflector, and its CP radiation is excited through the proximity coupling of an L-shaped microstrip line. A 4 times 4 array using the stacked slot antenna as an element is also developed and designed at X-band. Details of the antenna design and obtained results are presented.  相似文献

A novel method for the design of broadband patch antennas is described. The approach taken is to broadside couple two dual-mode patch antennas, resulting in a quad resonance antenna. The equivalent circuit of the antenna is similar to that of microwave filters, thus filter design techniques maybe employed to synthesize the antenna to obtain maximum return-loss bandwidth. This is the first time an increase in the bandwidth is achieved on a relatively thin substrate antenna as a result of coupling four resonant modes using two stacked circular microstrip patches. Electromagnetic simulation and measured results demonstrate bandwidth improvement of over four times that of a single-mode design.  相似文献

In this paper, the performance of stacked patches incorporating a high and low dielectric constant material combination is presented. Such a printed antenna is applicable for cases where photonic and microwave devices need to be directly integrated with the antenna. It is shown that 10-dB return-loss bandwidths in excess of 25% can be achieved with such a configuration. Importantly, the surface wave efficiency across this band of frequencies is high-greater than 85%. It is also shown that these stacked patches have lower cross-polarization levels compared to a conventional stacked patch and, thus, are very suited to circular polarization applications. Two circular polarization (CP) configurations are presented and experimentally verified. The single- and dual-feed configurations have 3-dB axial ratio bandwidths of 18% and 32%, respectively  相似文献

提出了一种十字形缝隙加载的小型宽带及圆极化微带贴片天线的设计方法。该天线通过在方形贴片上加载一个大尺寸的十字形缝隙实现天线的尺寸缩减,介质基片采用由FR4和空气层组成的层叠结构,在缝隙中嵌入L型枝节,只需通过调整枝节上同轴线馈电点的位置来获得圆极化或宽带阻抗匹配。ANSYS HFSS仿真分析表明,天线的圆极化带宽(AR≤3 dB)为1.7%,阻抗带宽(VSWR≤2)为5.8%,天线在宽带范围内具有稳定的增益,峰值增益为7.8 dB,同时贴片面积缩减了52.3%。改变馈电点的位置可调节两个谐振频率使天线阻抗带宽达到9.4%,比传统的微带贴片天线阻抗带宽提高了114%。  相似文献

A broadband patch antenna fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) is presented. The antenna was designed based on the stacked patch technique developed for aperture-coupled patch antennas. It is similar in configuration to a conventional stacked patch antenna, but the lower of its two patches is fed with a conductor-backed CPW Both simulation and measurement show that the antenna has bandwidth of over 10% (for |S/sub 11/| /spl les/ -10 dB) centred at 10 GHz.  相似文献

In this paper a novel structure of annular ring loaded stacked circular patch microstrip antenna is theoretically analysed to observe various parameters such as return loss, input impedance, gain, directivity and radiation pattern. It is found that antenna possess three band of operation which signify the compactness and multiband operation of antenna. The antenna is resonating at three operating frequencies 1.720, 2.950, 3.060 GHz. The proposed theory is verified by simulation using Ansoft’s HFSS and theoretical results are in good agreement with simulated results. The antenna is useful for multi-services operations such as WLAN, GSM, UMTS, and WiMAX services.  相似文献

The paper addresses two aspects of resonant microstrip patch antennas, namely, miniaturization and resonant frequency tuning. First, a patch geometry which allows a controllable size reduction over a limited range is presented. The basic shape is circular with slits cut into it. Modification of the slit geometry leads to both linear as well as circular polarized (CP) operation. Second, the use of another patch of a specific shape as a superstrate layer in a stacked configuration allows tuning over a relatively large frequency range as compared to the patch bandwidth. Tuning is accomplished by a simple rotation of the superstrate layer. The use of another superstrate layer allows tunable CP operation. Details on the antenna characteristics have been worked out for two examples, and computations have been compared with measurements where possible. The new antenna has significantly greater bandwidth than a conventional shorted patch and its behaviour is less susceptible to manufacturing errors. A novel broadband stacked E-shaped patch antenna is proposed in this paper. The proposed antenna has an input impedance bandwidth of about 38.41%, better than the conventional E-shaped microstrip patch antenna, which has an input impedance bandwidth of 33.8%. Through the use of the washer on the probe of the stacked patch antenna, the input impedance bandwidth is improved further to 44.9%. The radiation patterns are found to be relatively constant throughout the whole band. Comparisons of these antennas are presented in this paper.  相似文献

A new configuration of patch antenna is introduced, which provides a dual-band operation. This structure consists of an S-band cross patch with four square patches printed in the empty spaces among the arms of the cross. These patches provide a subarray working at X-band. This structure is simple to design and offers the advantage that it can be printed on a single-layer. An array geometry designed by using the above structure, is suggested. This can be suitable for satisfying the requirements of a typical dual-frequency SAR antenna  相似文献
