提出了一种空时分组码(STBC,space-time block-code)多音调制CDMA(MT-CDMA)系统结构。对系统上行链路误码率(BER)性能进行了理论分析,推导出了在多径衰落信道下采用最大比合并时系统的BER表达式,并通过计算机仿真进行了验证。数值结果表明由于联合的空时与多径分集增益,使系统的BER性能、差错地板和容量都得到了显著地改善。 相似文献

We perform bit-error-rate (BER) analysis of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems impaired by both direct current (DC) offset and carrier frequency offset (CFO) in multipath Rayleigh fading channels. Since the performance of OFDM systems is sensitive to the CFO, it is necessary to estimate and correct the CFO at the receiver. The existence of DC offset degrades the performance of CFO estimator and results in large residual CFO after compensation. Moreover, the process of CFO compensation spreads the DC offset energy and causes DC offset interference to all subcarriers. By deriving the BER formula for OFDM systems employing binary phase-shift keying modulation, the dependency of BER on the DC offset, CFO, and estimated CFO is accurately quantified. Simulation results validate the correctness of our theoretical analysis. 相似文献

In this paper, a novel blind carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimation is proposed on the basis of the linearly constrained optimization for the uplink transmission of space–time block‐coded multicarrier code division multiple access systems. First, the full‐dimensional spatial‐and‐temporal data are formed to avoid violation of the second‐order statistics in the conventional receiver design. A set of weight vectors is then provided for acquiring each multipath signal from the desired user while the others get rejected. Finally, the estimated CFO is obtained in accordance with maximizing the well‐defined measurement function, which is formulated by collecting all the output powers of the receiver. A space–time averaging technique is also proposed to enhance the robustness to the finite sample effect. Simulation study confirms that with the proposed CFO estimator used in the preceding, the receiver can successfully achieve the same performance of the optimal receiver working in the absence of CFO. In this paper, a single-input single-output-/multipleinput multiple-output- (SISO-/MIMO-) OFDMA uplink baseband transceiver based on IEEE 802.16e-2005 is proposed. To compensate for the interference of carrier frequency offset (CFO), an inter-carrier interference-based (ICI-cancellationbased) CFO estimator in conjunction with channel estimation and MIMO detector is proposed. Moreover, a low complexity solution for implementation is also provided. Simulation results show that the mean-square-error (MSE) performance of the proposed CFO estimator can be reduced to about one tenth compared to other methods and the bit-error-rate (BER) performance of the proposed transceiver is quite close to that of an ideal system that doesn?t include CFO compensation. 相似文献

A novel fuzzy minimum output energy (MOE) detector is proposed for uplink multicarrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) systems with carrier frequency offset (CFO) over multipath fading channels. The proposed receiver involves the following stages. First, the fuzzy CFO constrained MOE detector after coarse CFO estimation is proposed to suppress multiple access interference and combat the degradation problem of the conventional MOE detector caused by the CFO effect. Next, using the signal subspace projection technique, the proposed detector can further reduce the enhanced noise due to the fuzzy CFO constrained detector. Finally, the output data obtained from these detectors are coherently combined to offer multipath diversity gain in accordance with the maximum ratio combining criterion. Furthermore, the proposed single input single output (SISO) robust detector can be easily extended for a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) MC-CDMA system with a high rate of performance. Simulation results show that the proposed SISO detector, which offers a similar performance as the optimal detector, can provide robustness against CFO and outperform the conventional detectors. In this paper, a Complex Wavelet Packet (CWP-MC-CDMA) system uplink model is proposed, based Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access based on the analysis of the principle of MC-CDMA and the use of the optimized complex wavelet packet. Considering that the base station can adopt multiple re- ceiver antennas in the uplink, we employ the Space Diversity Combining (SDC) technique to improve the sys- tem pertbrmance via multiple antennas. The uplink performance of proposed CWP-MC-CDMA system with SDC technique is investigated over Rayleigh lading channel, and corresponding bit error rate analysis is given in detail. The system can avoid the decrease of spectrum efficiency of conventional MC-CDMA due to inserting cyclic prefix. Theoretical analysis and simulation result show that the application of SDC technique can improve the CWP-MC-CDMA system ability to combat spatial lading and various interferences effectively. Moreover, the proposed system based on SDC technique has superior Bit Error Rate (BER) performance over the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and SDC based MC-CDMA system and the real wavelet packet and SDC based MC-CDMA system. 相似文献

This paper presents an analysis of asynchronous multicarrier‐code division multiple access (MC‐CDMA) systems over frequency‐selective multipath fading channels when the carrier frequency offsets (CFOs) of all users are random variables and the frequency offset for the desired user is compensated. The effect of residual CFO on the average bit error rate (BER) is evaluated by the semi‐analytical method, then the approximated BER performance is obtained as a closed‐form expression. Moreover, the signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) loss caused by residual CFO is evaluated. Derived results show that the performance degradation due to residual frequency offset is negligible if the estimation error of CFO for the desired user is less than the normalized value of 10?1. In this paper, the performance of uncoded uplink transmissions in a broadband code division multiple access (CDMA) system using tapped delay line (TDL) antenna array under multipath conditions is investigated. An expression for broadband CDMA system is derived to calculate the optimal weights of TDL antenna array. Using the derived broadband expression, the performance of TDL antenna array is investigated and compared with that of the already existing narrowband systems. Simulation results show that TDL antenna array can reduce multipath fading and multiple access interference (MAI). It is shown that if the signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) level is maintained at 20 dB and two‐ray channel model is used, two antennas with four taps each can support 30 users with a BER of 10?3. If three‐ray channel model is used, the same antenna arrangement is not enough to support 30 users. To support these 30 users with BER of 10?3, the number of taps needs to be increased to eight. Finally, the number of taps needs to be further increased to 16 if four‐ray channel model is used. Not only that, the SNR should also be increased to 25 dB to achieve the same BER. 基于STBC方案,针对MIMO OFDM通信系统中同时存在发射机和接收机I/Q不平衡、前端滤波器失配、CFO和频率选择性信道失真的组合影响进行了深入研究,并提出了一种适用的联合均衡策略;具体实现是首先通过对MIMO OFDM系统中只存在发射机I/Q不平衡和多径信道干扰的分析,得到一种频域均衡器;然后再考虑同时存在接收机I/Q不平衡和CFO的情况,得到了2个时域均衡器;最后把2个时域均衡器变换到频域,并结合消除发射机I/Q不平衡和多径信道干扰的频域均衡技术,提出了一种全面的联合均衡技术即频域子载波均衡器。仿真结果表明,针对MIMO OFDM系统提出的频域子载波均衡技术不仅能扩展到其他高阶STBC系统,而且使均衡后的系统BER性能得到了明显的提高。 相似文献

In this paper, the bit-error rate (BER) performance and capacity of asynchronous space-time block-coded (STBC) multicarrier code-division multiple-access (MC-CDMA) systems in the presence of carrier frequency offset (CFO) between the transmitter and receiver oscillators are analyzed. The exact BER expression when using equal gain combining (EGC) and the approximate BER expression when using maximum ratio combining (MRC) are derived. These BER expressions are verified through simulations. Using these derived expressions, the achievable system capacity satisfying a minimum BER requirement can be studied for the two cases when EGC and MRC are used and, hence, it is possible to compare the achievable capacity of STBC MC-CDMA systems with that of MC-CDMA systems. It is concluded that small CFO has an insignificant effect on the BER and capacity of STBC MC-CDMA systems and that this range of CFO is important in transceiver design. Besides, STBC MC-CDMA systems with multiple receive antennas can achieve higher capacity than that of the MC-CDMA systems; this amount can be obtained analytically using the theoretical BER expressions derived. 相似文献

In this paper we analyze the effects of antenna array (AA) and imperfect power control on the performance of the uplink synchronous and/or asynchronous orthogonal multicarrier (MC) direct sequence‐code division multiple access (DS‐CDMA) system in multipath Rayleigh fading channels. Bit error rate (BER) performance is evaluated in terms of the number of antennas, the number of total subcarriers, power control error (PCE), and the number of users. Our numerical results show that the available user capacity of synchronous uplink is more than 1.5 times higher than that of asynchronous uplink, even though PCE increases. This paper investigates Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO), estimation in the uplink of the Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) systems with the interleaved subcarrier assignment. CFOs between the transmitters and the uplink receiver will destroy orthogonality among different subcarriers, hence resulting in inter-carrier interference and multiuser interference. A two-stage frequency offset estimation algorithm based on subspace processing is proposed. The main advantage of the proposed method is that it can obtain the CFOs of all users simultaneously using only one OFDMA block. Compared with the previously known methods, it not only has a relatively low implementation complexity but is also suitable for random subchannel assignment. 相似文献

The effect of the maximum asynchronous arrival time difference (AATD) of the delayed multipath components on the uplink performance of synchronous DS-CDMA systems is investigated, when communicating in a frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channel. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has been widely used for its robustness against multipath fading and low-complexity implementation. However, OFDM system, especially with large number of subcarriers and high modulation order, is severely affected by the phase noise of oscillators and carrier frequency offset (CFO). On the other hand, self-cancellation schemes have received a lot of attention due to their simple implementation and high efficiency to suppress inter-carrier interference (ICI) in OFDM systems. Among those ICI self-cancellation methods, symmetric conjugate symbol repetition (SCSR) has been proven to have the best bit error ratio (BER) performance for phase noise suppression. In this paper, the performance of OFDM systems with SCSR ICI self-cancellation in the presence of both phase noise (PHN) and CFO are investigated, and analytical expressions are derived to calculate error probability evaluated by symbol error ratio (SER) over additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and Rayleigh flat fading channels. An approach of second order approximation of PHN/CFO has been performed to estimate the residual ICI, which could provide more accurate results. Simulation results show perfect agreement with those obtained by theoretical analysis, which could be used to estimate OFDM system error probability, facilitating the design of the overall system. 相似文献

This paper examines the carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimation problem in the tile‐based orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) uplink systems, which is very challenging due to the presence of multiple CFOs. The existing solutions to this problem are either too complex to implement or not flexible in subcarrier allocation. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a tile‐structure based iterative multi‐CFO estimation technique. The proposed method is developed based on a special training sequence with repetitive structure. The inherent multi‐user interference (MUI) compression provided by the tile structure allows us to utilize the repetitive property of the training sequence to jointly estimate the CFOs in the frequency domain with low complexity. Combining the CFO estimation with an interference cancellation scheme and performing iteratively, the algorithm achieves high estimation accuracy and fast convergence. The proposed algorithm is suitable for any subcarrier assignment schemes. In addition, as compared with other existing time domain based algorithms, which achieve the Cramer Rao Bound (CRB) at the price of unaffordable complexity, it closely approaches their performance with over 70% computational saving, which is significantly important for practical implementation.
