Solvent engineering technique for planar heterojunction perovskite solar cells is an efficient way to achieve uniformly controlled grain morphology for perovskite films. In this report, diethyl ether solvent engineering technique was used for Methyl ammonium lead triiodide (CH3NH3PbI3) perovskite thin films for planar heterojunction solar cells which exhibited a PCE of 9.20%. Morphological improvements and enhanced grain sizes leads to enhanced absorption of CH3NH3PbI3. Moreover solar cells have showed an excellent environmental stability of more than 100 days. This increase in efficiency is due to improved film morphology of perovskite layer after solvent treatment which has been revealed under UV–Vis spectroscopy, SEM images, X-ray diffraction and impedance spectroscopy.  相似文献

Enhancing open‐circuit voltage in CH3NH3PbI3(Cl) perovskite solar cells has become a major challenge for approaching the theoretical limit of the power conversion efficiency. Here, for the first time, it is demonstrated that the synergistic effect of PbI2 passivation and chlorine incorporation via controlling the molar ratio of PbI2, PbCl2 (or MACl), and MAI in the precursor solutions, boosts the open‐circuit voltage of CH3NH3PbI3(Cl) perovskite solar cells over 1.15 V in both mesoscopic and inverted planar perovskite solar cells. Such high open‐circuit voltage can be attributed to the enhanced photoluminescence emission and carrier lifetime associated with the reduced trap densities. The morphology and composition analysis using scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction measurements, and energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy confirm the high quality of the optimized CH3NH3PbI3(Cl) perovskite film. On this basis, record‐high efficiencies of 16.6% for nonmetal‐electrode all‐solution‐processed perovskite solar cells and 18.4% for inverted planar perovskite solar cells are achieved.  相似文献

Highly efficient and non-hysteresis organic/perovskite planar heterojunction solar cells was fabricated by low-temperature, solution-processed method with a structure of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/CH3NH3PbI3/PCBM/Al. The high-quality perovskite thin film was obtained using a solvent-induced-fast-crystallization deposition involving spin-coating the CH3NH3PbI3 solution followed by top-dropping chlorobenzene with an accurate control to induce the crystallization, which results in highly crystalline, pinhole-free, and smooth perovskite thin film. Furthermore, it was found that the molar ratio of CH3NH3I to PbI2 greatly influence the properties of CH3NH3PbI3 film and the device performance. The equimolar or excess PbI2 was facile to form a flat CH3NH3PbI3 film and produced relatively uniform perovskite crystals. Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with high-quality CH3NH3PbI3 thin film showed good performance and excellent repeatability. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) up to 13.49% was achieved, which is one of the highest PCEs obtained for low-temperature, solution-processed planar perovskite solar cells based on the structure ITO/PEDOT:PSS/CH3NH3PbI3/PC61BM/Al. More importantly, PSCs fabricated using this method didn’t show obvious hysteresis under different scan direction and speed.  相似文献

For solar cell applications, Sn‐based hybrid perovskites have drawn particular interest due to their environmental friendliness. Here, a thin layer of C60 pyrrolidine tris‐acid (CPTA) is found essential for achieving high efficiency with planar solar cells of Sn‐based perovskites. As a result, a power conversion efficiency of 7.40% is achieved for {en}FASnI3 solar cells with a planar n–i–p architecture, and the device exhibits excellent stability in air. For the first time, highly efficient Sn‐based hybrid perovskite solar cells on n–i–p architecture are achieved. A Voc of 0.72 V is highlighted as the highest Voc ever reported for FASnI3 solar cells.  相似文献

Perovskite hybrid solar cells (pero-HSCs) have been intensively investigated due to their promising photovoltaic performance. However, the correlations between the efficiencies of pero-HSCs and thin film thicknesses and morphologies of CH3NH3PbI3−xClx perovskite layers are rarely addressed. In this study, we report the correlation between the efficiencies of “planar heterojunction” (PHJ) pero-HSCs and the thin film thicknesses and morphologies of solution-processed CH3NH3PbI3−xClx perovskite layers. Investigation of absorption spectra, X-ray diffraction patterns, atomic force microscopy and scanning electron microscopy images of CH3NH3PbI3xClx layers indicate that the efficiencies of PHJ pero-HSCs are dependent on the film thickness, as the thickness of CH3NH3PbI3xClx is less than 400 nm; whereas the efficiencies are significantly dependent on the film morphologies of CH3NH3PbI3xClx layers as the thickness is larger than 400 nm. Our studies provide a promising pathway for fabricating high efficiency PHJ pero-HSCs.  相似文献

Organic–inorganic metal halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have attracted much research interest owing to their high power conversion efficiency (PCE), solution processability, and the great potential for commercialization. However, the device performance is closely related to the quality of the perovskite film and the interface properties, which cannot be easily controlled by solution processes. Here, 2D WS2 flakes with defect‐free surfaces are introduced as a template for van der Waals epitaxial growth of mixed perovskite films by solution process for the first time. The mixed perovskite films demonstrate a preferable growth along (001) direction on WS2 surfaces. In addition, the WS2/perovskite heterojunction forms a cascade energy alignment for efficient charge extraction and reduced interfacial recombination. The inverted PSCs with WS2 interlayers show high PCEs up to 21.1%, which is among the highest efficiency of inverted planar PSCs. This work demonstrates that high‐mobility 2D materials can find important applications in PSCs as well as other perovskite‐based optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

Highly efficient planar heterojunction perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) with dopamine (DA) semiquinone radical modified poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) (DA‐PEDOT:PSS) as a hole transporting layer (HTL) were fabricated. A combination of characterization techniques were employed to investigate the effects of DA doping on the electron donating capability of DA‐PEDOT:PSS, perovskite film quality and charge recombination kinetics in the solar cells. Our study shows that DA doping endows the DA‐PEDOT:PSS‐modified PVSCs with a higher radical content and greater perovskite to HTL charge extraction capability. In addition, the DA doping also improves work function of the HTL, increases perovskite film crystallinity, and the amino and hydroxyl groups in DA can interact with the undercoordinated Pb atoms on the perovskite crystal, reducing charge‐recombination rate and increasing charge‐extraction efficiency. Therefore, the DA‐PEDOT:PSS‐modified solar cells outperform those based on PEDOT:PSS, increasing open‐circuit voltage (V oc) and power conversion efficiency (PCE) to 1.08 V and 18.5%, respectively. Even more importantly, the efficiency of the unencapsulated DA‐PEDOT:PSS‐based PVSCs are well retained with only 20% PCE loss after exposure to air for 250 hours. These in‐depth insights into structure and performance provide clear and novel guidelines for the design of effective HTLs to facilitate the practical application of inverted planar heterojunction PVSCs.  相似文献

Improving the ohmic contact and interfacial morphology between an electron transport layer (ETL) and perovskite film is the key to boost the efficiency of planar perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In the current work, an amorphous–crystalline heterophase tin oxide bilayer (Bi‐SnO2) ETL is prepared via a low‐temperature solution process. Compared with the amorphous SnO2 sol–gel film (SG‐SnO2) or the crystalline SnO2 nanoparticle (NP‐SnO2) counterparts, the heterophase Bi‐SnO2 ETL exhibits improved surface morphology, considerably fewer oxygen defects, and better energy band alignment with the perovskite without sacrificing the optical transmittance. The best PSC device (active area ≈ 0.09 cm2) based on a Bi‐SnO2 ETL is hysteresis‐less and achieves an outstanding power conversion efficiency of ≈20.39%, which is one of the highest efficiencies reported for SnO2‐triple cation perovskite system based on green antisolvent. More fascinatingly, large‐area PSCs (active areas of ≈3.55 cm2) based on the Bi‐SnO2 ETL also achieves an extraordinarily high efficiency of ≈14.93% with negligible hysteresis. The improved device performance of the Bi‐SnO2‐based PSC arises predominantly from the improved ohmic contact and suppressed bimolecular recombination at the ETL/perovskite interface. The tailored morphology and energy band structure of the Bi‐SnO2 has enabled the scalable fabrication of highly efficient, hysteresis‐less PSCs.  相似文献

Compared with silicon‐based solar cells, organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (PSCs) possess a distinct advantage, i.e., its application in the flexible field. However, the efficiency of the flexible device is still lower than that of the rigid one. First, it is found that the dense formamidinium (FA)‐based perovskite film can be obtained with the help of N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (NMP) via low pressure‐assisted method. In addition, CH3NH3Cl (MACl) as the additive can preferentially form MAPbCl3?xIx perovskite seeds to induce perovskite phase transition and crystal growth. Finally, by using FAI·PbI2·NMP+x%MACl as the precursor, i.e., ligand and additive synergetic process, a FA‐based perovskite film with a large grain size, high crystallinity, and low trap density is obtained on a flexible substrate under ambient conditions due to the synergetic effect, e.g., MACl can enhance the crystallization of the intermediate phase of FAI·PbI2·NMP. As a result, a record efficiency of 19.38% in flexible planar PSCs is achieved, and it can retain about 89% of its initial power conversion efficiency (PCE) after 230 days without encapsulation under ambient conditions. The PCE retains 92% of the initial value after 500 bending cycles with a bending radii of 10 mm. The results show a robust way to fabricate highly efficient flexible PSCs.  相似文献

A graphene oxide (GO) film is functionalized with metal (Au) and metal‐oxide (MoOx) nanoparticles (NPs) as a hole‐extraction layer for high‐performance inverted planar‐heterojunction perovskite solar cells (PSCs). These NPs can increase the work function of GO, which is confirmed with X‐ray photoelectron spectra, Kelvin probe force microscopy, and ultraviolet photoelectron spectra measurements. The down‐shifts of work functions lead to a decreased level of potential energy and hence increased Voc of the PSC devices. Although the GO‐AuNP film shows rapid hole extraction and increased Voc, a Jsc improvement is not observed because of localization of the extracted holes inside the AuNP that leads to rapid charge recombination, which is confirmed with transient photoelectric measurements. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the GO‐AuNP device attains 14.6%, which is comparable with that of the GO‐based device (14.4%). In contrast, the rapid hole extraction from perovskite to the GO‐MoOx layer does not cause trapping of holes and delocalization of holes in the GO film accelerates rapid charge transfer to the indium tin oxide substrate; charge recombination in the perovskite/GO‐MoOx interface is hence significantly retarded. The GO‐MoOx device consequently shows significantly enhanced Voc and Jsc, for which its device performance attains PCE of 16.7% with great reproducibility and enduring stability.  相似文献

We demonstrate improved performance of inverted planar heterojunction CH3NH3PbI3-xClx perovskite solar cells with a TiO2/MoO3 core/shell nanoparticles (NPs) doped poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene):poly(4-styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) hole-transporting layer (HTL). TiO2/MoO3 Core/shell NPs with size of approximately 40 nm are successfully prepared with a simple wet solution method and are interspersed into PEDOT: PSS layer to construct the HTL. The optimized device shows a high power conversion efficiency of 13.63%, which is dramatically improved compared with the reference device with a pristine PEDOT:PSS HTL. The improvement is mainly attributed to the increased crystalline of the CH3NH3PbI3-xClx film with large-scale domains and a compact morphology. More interesting, the cells exhibit superior stability in ambient conditions, which is attributed to the inhibited penetration of moisture due to the compact morphology of the CH3NH3PbI3-xClx film and the reduced hygroscopicity of the PEDOT:PSS film.  相似文献

Recently, there have been extensive research efforts on developing high performance organolead halide based perovskite solar cells. While most studies focused on optimizing the deposition processes of the perovskite films, the selection of the precursors has been rather limited to the lead halide/methylammonium (or formamidium) halide combination. In this work, we developed a new precursor, HPbI3, to replace lead halide. The new precursor enables formation of highly uniform formamidium lead iodide (FAPbI3) films through a one‐step spin‐coating process. Furthermore, the FAPbI3 perovskite films exhibit a highly crystalline phase with strong (110) preferred orientation and excellent thermal stability. The planar heterojunction solar cells based on these perovskite films exhibit an average efficiency of 15.4% and champion efficiency of 17.5% under AM 1.5 G illumination. By comparing the morphology and formation process of the perovskite films fabricated from the formamidium iodide (FAI)/HPbI3, FAI/PbI2, and FAI/PbI2 with HI additive precursor combinations, it is shown that the superior property of the HPbI3 based perovskite films may originate from 1) a slow crystallization process involving exchange of H+ and FA+ ions in the PbI6 octahedral framework and 2) elimination of water in the precursor solution state.  相似文献

The in-situ thermal-annealing doctor blading was developed to fabricate high-quality perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 thin film and efficient planar heterojunction perovskite solar cells (PHJ-PSCs) in ambient condition with humidity of ∼45%. The morphology of CH3NH3PbI3 thin film fabricated by in-situ thermal-annealing doctor blading varied from random nanowires to oriented domains as increasing the substrate temperature, and the domain size became larger and larger with increasing substrate temperature. The PHJ-PSCs with a structure of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/CH3NH3PbI3/PCBM/Ag was fabricated based on in-situ thermal-annealing doctor-bladed CH3NH3PbI3 thin film in ambient condition, resulting in the power conversion efficiency up to 11.29% without obvious hysteresis under different scanning directions and speeds. The performance is comparable to that of PHJ-PSCs fabricated by spin-coating deposition in glovebox with the same structure. The research results suggested that efficient PHJ-PSCs could be fabricated by large-scale in-situ thermal-annealing doctor blading in ambient condition, which is matchable with large-scale, roll-to-roll process and shows potential application in industrial production.  相似文献

In this contribution, a facile and universal method is successfully reported to fabricate perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with enhanced efficiency and stability. Through dissolving functional conjugated polymers in antisolvent chlorobenzene to treat the spinning CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite film, the resultant devices exhibit significantly enhanced efficiency and longevity simultaneously. In‐depth characterizations demonstrate that thin polymer layer well covers the top surface of perovskite film, resulting in certain surface passivation and morphology modification. More importantly, it is shown that through rational chemical modification, namely molecular fluorination, the air stability and photostability of the perovskite solar cells are remarkably enhanced. Considering the vast selection of conjugated polymer materials and easy functional design, promising new results are expected in further enhancement of device performance. It is believed that the findings provide exciting insights into the role of conjugated polymer in improving the current perovskite‐based solar cells.  相似文献

CdS thin films are a promising electron transport layer in PbS colloidal quantum dot (CQD) photovoltaic devices. Some traditional deposition techniques, such as chemical bath deposition and RF (radio frequency) magnetron sputtering, have been employed to fabricate CdS films and CdS/PbS CQD heterojunction photovoltaic devices. However, their power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) are moderate compared with ZnO/PbS and TiO2/PbS heterojunction CQD solar cells. Here, efficiencies have been improved substantially by employing solution‐processed CdS thin films from a single‐source precursor. The CdS film is deposited by a straightforward spin‐coating and annealing process, which is a simple, low‐cost, and high‐material‐usage fabrication process compared to chemical bath deposition and RF magnetron sputtering. The best CdS/PbS CQD heterojunction solar cell is fabricated using an optimized deposition and air‐annealing process achieved over 8% PCE, demonstrating the great potential of CdS thin films fabricated by the single‐source precursor for PbS CQDs solar cells.  相似文献

The organic–inorganic halide CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI3) has been the most commonly used light absorber layer of perovskite solar cells (PSCs); however, solution‐processed MAPbI3 films usually suffer from random crystal orientation and high trap density, resulting in inferior power conversion efficiency (PCE) with open circuit voltage (Voc) being typically below 1.2 V for PSC devices. Herein, for the first time an imidazole sulfonate zwitterion, 4‐(1H‐imidazol‐3‐ium‐3‐yl)butane‐1‐sulfonate (IMS), is applied as a bifunctional additive in regular‐structure planar heterojunction PSC devices to regulate the crystal orientation, yielding highly ordered MAPbI3 film and passivating the trap states of the film. Such a dual effect of IMS is fulfilled via coordination interactions between the sulfonate moiety of IMS with the Pb2+ ion and the electrostatic interaction between the imidazole of IMS with the I ion of MAPbI3. As a result, under a optimized IMS doping ratio of 0.5 wt%, the PSC device exhibits a significant increase in PCE from 18.77% to 20.84%, with suppressed current–voltage hysteresis and promoted ambient stability. Moreover, a high Voc of 1.208 V is achieved under a higher IMS doping ratio of 1.2 wt%, which is the highest Voc for regular‐structure MAPbI3 planar PSC devices based on TiO2 electron transport layer.  相似文献

Perovskite‐based solar cells are generally assembled as planar structures comprising a flat organoammonium metal halide perovskite layer, or mesoscopic structures employing a mesoporous metal‐oxide scaffold into which the perovskite material is infiltrated. To present, little attention has been directed toward the texturing of the perovskite material itself. Herein, a textured CH3NH3PbI3 morphology formed through a thin mesoporous TiO2 seeding layer and a gas‐assisted crystallization method is reported. The textured morphology comprises a multitiered nanostructure, which allows for significant improvements in the light harvesting and charge extraction performance of the solar cells. Due to these improvements, average short‐circuit current densities for a batch of 28 devices are in excess of 22 mA cm?2, and the maximum recorded power conversion efficiency is 16.3%. The performance gains concomitant with this textured CH3NH3PbI3 morphology provide further insights into how control of the perovskite microstructure can be used to enhance the cell performance.  相似文献

A novel family of soluble conjugated dendritic oligothiophenes (DOTs) as monodisperse 3D macromolecular architectures was characterized with respect to optical and redox properties in solution and in solid films. Band gaps of 2.5–2.2 eV, typical for organic semiconductors, were determined as well as HOMO/LUMO energy levels ideal for efficient electron transfer to acceptors such as [6,6]‐phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) identifying them as suitable materials for solar cell applications. Solution‐processed bulk‐heterojunction solar cells using DOTs as electron donor and PCBM as acceptor were prepared and investigated. High open‐circuit voltages VOC of 1.0 V and power‐conversion efficiencies up to 1.72% were obtained for the DOT‐based devices. The higher generations DOTs provide the highest efficiencies. Based on the monodispersity of the DOTs, an analysis of the molar ratio between donor and acceptor in the blended film was possible leading to an optimal value of five to six thiophene units per PCBM.  相似文献

Solution‐processable hybrid perovskite solar cells are a new member of next generation photovoltaics. In the present work, a low‐temperature two‐step dipping method is proposed for the fabrication of CH3NH3PbI3‐xClx perovskite films on the indium tin oxide glass/poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) substrate. The bandgaps of the CH3NH3PbI3‐xClx perovskite films are tuned in the range between 1.54 and 1.59 eV by adjusting the PbCl2 mole fraction (nCl/(nCl + nI)) in the initial mixed precursor solution from 0.10 to 0.40. The maximum chlorine mole fraction measured by a unique potentiometric titration method in the produced CH3NH3PbI3‐xClx films can be up to 0.220 ± 0.020 (x = 0.660 ± 0.060), which is much higher than that produced by a one‐step spin‐coating method (0.056 ± 0.015, x = 0.17 ± 0.04). The corresponding solar cell with the CH3NH3PbI2.34±0.06Cl0.66±0.06 perovskite film sandwiched between PEDOT:PSS and C60 layers exhibits a power conversion efficiency as high as 14.5%. Meanwhile, the open‐circuit potential (Voc) of the device reaches 1.11 V, which is the highest Voc reported in the perovskite solar cells fabricated on PEDOT:PSS so far.  相似文献

In planar heterojunction (PHJ) perovskite solar cells (PerSCs) without mesoporous metal oxide skeleton, there is challenge of formation perovskite film with full coverage to the conductive substrate through solution-process the lead halide precursors. Selecting a lead source with more volatile byproducts is an effective approach to obtain much smoother films with smaller and fewer pinholes. Herein, we demonstrate efficient CH3NH3PbI3/PCBM PHJ PerSCs by using lead acetate (Pb(Ac)2) as lead precursor. The morphology of the perovskite thin films were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), respectively, and the crystalline quality of the perovskite films were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectroscopy. Time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) was used to investigate the PL lifetime of the perovskite film. The perovskite film derived from Pb(Ac)2 shows enhanced surface coverage and improved photoluminescence lifetime in comparison with PbI2 sourced perovskite film. Averaged over 20 individual devices, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of devices derived from Pb(Ac)2 reaches 14.81%, much higher than PbI2 sourced devices by one-step (8.23%) or two-step (10.58%) spin-coating.  相似文献
