该研究制备了一种与中空圆截面簧丝轴线成±45°铺层的新型复合材料圆柱螺旋压缩弹簧,并对该弹簧进行准静态压缩试验。将纤维复合材料平板的剪切模量等效替代各向同性材料弹簧刚度表达式中的剪切模量,从而理论导出该类复合材料弹簧的刚度表达式。针对该表达式分析影响弹簧刚度的各种因素及其影响程度。结果表明:弹簧的刚度系数随着纤维弹性模量、纤维体积分数、簧丝外直径的增加而急剧增加,随它们的下降而显著下降;基体弹性模量与复合材料泊松比对弹簧刚度的影响十分微小;簧丝内直径在一定范围内变化时对弹簧刚度的影响几乎可以不计,但却能显著降低弹簧质量,超出该范围后,弹簧刚度随内直径增加而急剧下降;刚度系数随弹簧有效圈数和弹簧圈平均直径的增加而剧烈下降,随着它们的下降而急剧增加。  相似文献

Discrete damage mechanics (DDM) refers to micromechanics of damage constitutive models that, when incorporated into commercial finite element software via user material subroutines, are able to predict intralaminar transverse and shear damage initiation and evolution in terms of the fracture toughness of the composite. A methodology for determination of the fracture toughness is presented, based on fitting DDM model results to available experimental data. The applicability of the DDM model is studied by comparison to available experimental data for Carbon Epoxy laminates. Sensitivity of the DDM model to h- and p-refinement is studied. Also, prediction of modulus vs. applied strain is contrasted with ply discount results and the effect of in situ correction of strength is highlighted.  相似文献

In this research, the effects of carbon nanofibers (CNFs) on thermo-elastic properties of carbon fiber (CF)/epoxy composite for the reduction of thermal residual stresses (TRS) using micromechanical relations were studied. In the first step, micromechanical models to calculate the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and Young's modulus of CNF/epoxy and CNF/CF/epoxy nanocomposites were developed and compared with experimental results of the other researchers. The obtained results of the CTE and Young's modulus of modified Schapery and Halpin-Tsai theories have good agreement with the experimental results. In the second step, the classical lamination theory (CLT) was employed to determine the TRS for CNF/CF/epoxy laminated nanocomposites. Also, the theoretical results of the CLT were compared with experimental results. Finally, reduction of the TRS using the CLT for different lay-ups such as cross ply, angle ply, and quasi-isotropic laminates were obtained. The results demonstrated that the addition of 1% weight fraction of CNF can reduce the TRS that the most reduction occurred in the unsymmetric cross-ply laminate by up to 27%.  相似文献

以层合板结构的临界屈曲载荷系数最大化为优化目标,基于改进型模拟退火算法对层合板结构铺设角度和铺层顺序进行优化。由于层合板结构的铺层角度是离散变量,模拟退火算法适合求解离散变量的优化问题。利用模拟退火算法优化层合板铺层,在算法内采用并行计算、引入记忆功能同时设置双阈值终止准则,有效地提高了优化过程的收敛速度,同时避免优化过程中出现局部最优解。以临界屈曲载荷系数作为目标函数,选取复合材料层合板的铺设角度顺序为设计变量,采用改进的模拟退火算法得出复合材料层合板的最优铺设角度以及铺层顺序。  相似文献

为了对复合材料副簧的刚度进行匹配设计,设计了包含有复合材料副簧的主副簧总成结构。采用集中载荷法计算复合材料副簧的等效载荷,根据原钢板弹簧的挠度变化来估算复合材料副簧的等效刚度。根据钢板弹簧设计理论,对复合材料副簧的等效刚度进行匹配设计。采用ABAQUS软件对设计的主副簧总成的总刚度进行有限元模拟,通过调整复合材料副簧的铺层数量来修正复合材料副簧的等效刚度。提出的匹配设计方法对复合材料板簧的推广应用具有重要意义。   相似文献

This paper presents a multi-agent search technique to design an optimal composite box-beam helicopter rotor blade. The search technique is called particle swarm optimization (‘inspired by the choreography of a bird flock’). The continuous geometry parameters (cross-sectional dimensions) and discrete ply angles of the box-beams are considered as design variables. The objective of the design problem is to achieve (a) specified stiffness value and (b) maximum elastic coupling. The presence of maximum elastic coupling in the composite box-beam increases the aero-elastic stability of the helicopter rotor blade. The multi-objective design problem is formulated as a combinatorial optimization problem and solved collectively using particle swarm optimization technique. The optimal geometry and ply angles are obtained for a composite box-beam design with ply angle discretizations of 10°, 15° and 45°. The performance and computational efficiency of the proposed particle swarm optimization approach is compared with various genetic algorithm based design approaches. The simulation results clearly show that the particle swarm optimization algorithm provides better solutions in terms of performance and computational time than the genetic algorithm based approaches.  相似文献

This paper shows that a bio-inspired design methodology is an effective method to strengthen composite T-joints under bending loading. The ply angles in the laminate of a carbon/epoxy T-joint were tailored using an optimisation program mimicking the evolutionary process of adaptive growth in which the wood microfibril orientation in and around the tree branch-trunk joint is tailored to the prevailing bending loading condition. A single objective optimisation program with four ply angle input variables was used to compute the optimal design of the ply stacking pattern which minimised the interlaminar tensile stress in composite T-joints where delamination damage is initiated. FEA and experimental testing were performed to compare the structural properties of the bio-inspired T-joint against a base-line T-joint with a quasi-isotropic ply stacking pattern. The bio-inspired T-joint exhibited a higher bending failure initiation load (improved by 40%) and elastic strain energy capacity (increased by 75%) than the base-line T-joint.  相似文献

This paper summarizes an extensive experimental study of composites reinforced with three-dimensional woven preforms subjected to tensile, compressive and in-plane shear loading. Three innovative three-dimensional woven architectures were examined that utilize large 12 K and 24 K IM7 carbon tows, including two ply to ply angle interlock architectures and one orthogonal architecture. Additionally, a two-dimensional quasi-isotropic woven material was evaluated for comparison. Loads were applied in both the warp and the weft directions for tensile and compressive loading. Digital image correlation was used to investigate full field strains leading up to quasi-static failure. Experimental results including ultimate strengths and moduli are analyzed alongside representative failure modes. The orthogonal woven material was found to have both greater strength and modulus in tension and compression, though a ply to ply woven architecture was found to outperform the remaining three-dimensional architectures. Recommendations are made for improving the manufacturing processes of certain three-dimensional woven architectures.  相似文献

The optimum bolted joints for hybrid composite materials composed of glass-epoxy and carbon-epoxy under tensile loading were investigated. The design parameters considered for the bolted joints were ply angle, stacking sequence, the ratio of glass-epoxy to carbon-epoxy, the outer diameters of washers and the clamping pressure. As bearing failure was desirable for bolted joints, the geometry of the bolted joint specimen was designed to undergo bearing failure only.

By inspecting the fracture surfaces of the specimens it was found that delamination on the loaded periphery of the holes and extensive damage on the edge region constrained by a washer occurred. To assess the delamination of the hybrid composite materials, three-dimensional stress analysis of the bolted joint was performed using a commercial finite-element software and compared with the experimental results.  相似文献

引入微分概念和复合材料铺层刚度分配原则,形成一种改进的求解复合材料斜面对接结构胶层应力的半解析方法 MAM(Modified semi-Analytical Method)。首先,针对铺层角度及铺层数不一致的情况,采用有限元法(FEM)平面应变模型对MAM进行验证;然后,分别用平均剪应力法、FEM及MAM预测了复合材料斜接结构的承载能力并与试验值进行对比;最后,利用MAM分析工程应用问题,考虑了被粘结体刚度不匹配及胶层厚度的变化。研究结果表明:MAM适于设计复合材料斜接结构;采用MAM能得到胶层应力的尖峰值,且应力分布与FEM计算一致。  相似文献

This paper presents a design methodology for a laminated composite stiffened panel, subjected to multiple in-plane loads and bending moments. Design variables include the skin and stiffener ply orientation angles and stiffener geometry variables. Optimum designs are sought which minimize structural weight and satisfy mechanical performance requirements. Two types of mechanical performance requirements are placed on the panel, maximum strain and minimum strength. Minimum weight designs are presented which document that the choice of mechanical performance requirements cause changes in the optimum design. The effects of lay-up constraints which limit the ply angles to user specified values, such as symmetric or quasi-isotropic laminates, are also investigated.  相似文献

采用细观力学方法对正交铺设陶瓷基复合材料单轴拉伸应力-应变行为进行了研究。采用剪滞模型分析了复合材料出现损伤时的细观应力场。采用断裂力学方法、 临界基体应变能准则、 应变能释放率准则及Curtin统计模型4种单一失效模型确定了90°铺层横向裂纹间距、 0°铺层基体裂纹间距、 纤维/基体界面脱粘长度和纤维失效体积分数。将剪滞模型与4种单一损伤模型结合, 对各损伤阶段应力-应变曲线进行了模拟, 建立了复合材料强韧性预测模型。与室温下正交铺设陶瓷基复合材料单轴拉伸应力-应变曲线进行了对比, 各个损伤阶段的应力-应变、 失效强度及应变与试验数据吻合较好。分析了90°铺层横向断裂能、 0°铺层纤维/基体界面剪应力、 界面脱粘能、 纤维Weibull模量对复合材料损伤及拉伸应力-应变曲线的影响。   相似文献

Composites are usually brittle materials and have low impact properties. Structural dimensions, stacking sequence, ply materials, ply thicknesses and ply angles are standard variables that influence composite‘s performance against impact loads. Stacking sequence in hybrid laminates affects the failure and impact resistance. Failure mechanisms at the low-velocity impact of a rigid object in hybrid laminates are complex, and the subsurface damage in a composite laminate cannot be detected directly. However, various simulation platforms make it easy to see the impact damage between the plies of laminate. This paper numerically investigated the effect of stack sequence and hybridization of two fiber types against low-velocity impact. The current study adopted four-layer composite laminates of carbon and glass fiber layers with a stacking plan [C/C/C/C], [C/G/C/G] and [G/C/G/C], having lay-up angles as [0°/45°/−45°/90°]. Keeping the impactor mass and the incident velocity constant, the laminates were subjected to low-velocity impact. The damage contours for a failure mode were recorded and compared at the ply level. The numerical study resulted in impact imitations showing comparisons of the damage contours using Hashin failure criteria. Hybrid laminates display better performance in absorbing impact energies; however, hybrid laminates experienced more subsurface damage due to more impact energy absorption.  相似文献

This work aims at developing a hot sizing process on composite materials to correct the profiles of composite structures during manufacture. Hot sizing experiments were carried out at 150 °C with different sizing loads and hot sizing periods for L-shaped composite beams made of carbon fiber plain-weave fabric and epoxy resin. To predict the springback in hot sizing process, a corresponding finite element simulation method was developed using stress relaxation equations determined at the same temperature. Excellent agreements between the predicted and observed results were obtained. The effects of the component thickness and 45° ply percentage on the springback rate were investigated by simulation. Springback rate in hot sizing process on composite materials ranges from 60% to 95%. In conclusion hot sizing process is proved to be a valid method for compensation for the process-induced deformation (PID) of L-shaped composite beams.  相似文献

以复合材料层合板各单层连续变化的铺层角度为设计变量, 在有限元软件中对层合板结构的基频进行优化分析, 在四边简支和固支两种不同的边界条件下, 结构的基频分别提高了4.9%和16.2%, 并对优化前后结构的静力失效强度进行了对比分析。随后将这种优化方法应用到某无人机复合材料机翼格栅结构中, 针对格栅结构蒙皮和肋板共计24个纤维铺层角度进行了优化设计, 使结构基频提高了10.6%, 同时结构的承载能力也有了一定程度的提高。  相似文献

A Zr52.5Cu18Ni14.5Al10Ti5 bulk metallic glass toughened with a commercially available spring-shaped steel wire has been produced by centrifugal casting. The addition of the steel spring significantly affects shear band nucleation and propagation through the blockage, deflection and multiplication of shear bands at the glass–spring interface. As a result of the more homogeneous distribution of the plastic strain, the room temperature plasticity increases from 0.9% for the monolitic glass to about 4% for the glass–spring composite. Given the low volume fraction of the spring used in the composite (4.2 vol.%), these results demonstrate the extreme effectiveness of the steel spring for improving the plasticity of the metallic glass.  相似文献

This study describes a new method of experimental design to obtain a response surface of buckling load of laminated composites. Many evaluations for genetic algorithms for stacking sequence optimizations require high computational cost. That evaluation cost can be reduced by an approximation using a response surface. For a response surface for stacking sequence optimizations, lamination parameters are adopted as variables of the approximation function of the entire design space instead of ply angles for each ply. This study presents, proposes and investigates a new method of experimental design in detail. For most analytical tools, stacking sequences is demand as input data and lamination parameters cannot be applied directly to the tools. Therefore, the present study proposes and applies a new D-optimal set of laminates to the stacking sequence optimizations of the problem of maximization of buckling load of a composite cylinder. The new experimental design is a set of stacking sequences selected from candidate stacks using D-optimality. Consequently, the D-optimal set of laminates is shown to be effective for design of experiments of response surfaces for maximization of the buckling load of composite structures.  相似文献

The optimal layup with least weight or cost for a symmetrically laminated plate subject to a buckling load is determined using a hybrid composite construction. A hybrid construction provides further tailoring capabilities and can meet the weight, cost and strength constraints while a non-hybrid construction may fail to satisfy the design requirements. The objective of the optimization is to minimize either the weight or cost of the plate using the ply angles, layer thicknesses and material combinations as design variables. As the optimization problem contains a large number of continuous (ply angles and thicknesses) and discrete (material combinations) design variables, a -sequential solution procedure is devised in which the optimal variables are computed in different stages. The proposed design method is illustrated using graphite, kevlar and glass epoxy combinations and the efficiencies of the hybrid designs over the non-hybrid ones are computed.  相似文献

This paper deals with the structural optimization of multilaminated composite plate structures of arbitrary geometry and lay up, using single layer higher order shear deformation theory discrete models. The structural and sensitivity analysis formulation is developed for a family of C0 Lagrangian elements. The design sensitivities of free vibration response for objective and/or constraint functions with respect to ply angles and ply thickness are presented. The objectives of the design are the maximization of natural frequencies of specified modes and/or the minimization of the structure weight or volume. The accuracy and relative performance of the proposed discrete models are compared and discussed among developed elements and alternative models. Several test designs are optimized to show the applicability of the proposed refined discrete models.  相似文献
