This article analyzes interest-rate risks faced by the postal savings bureau (PSB) based on the complete balance sheet It presents the extended gap model and the extended duration gap model to measure the interest-rate risk, and discusses the inner balance-sheet strategies and the off-balance-sheet strategies to manage the interest-rate risks.

Low-swing on-chip signaling techniques: effectiveness androbustness

This paper reviews a number of low-swing on-chip interconnect schemes and presents a thorough analysis of their effectiveness and limitations, especially on energy efficiency and signal integrity. In addition, several new interface circuits presenting even more energy savings and better reliability are proposed. Some of these circuits not only reduce the interconnect swing, but also use very low supply voltages so as to obtain quadratic energy savings. The performance of each of the presented circuits is thoroughly examined using simulation on a benchmark interconnect circuit. Significant energy savings up to a factor of six have been observed

Dynamic Self‐Repair Architectures for Defective Through‐silicon Vias

Three‐dimensional integration technology results in area savings, platform power savings, and an increase in performance. Through‐silicon via (TSV) assembly and manufacturing processes can potentially introduce defects. This may result in increases in manufacturing and test costs and will cause a yield problem. To improve the yield, spare TSVs can be included to repair defective TSVs. This paper proposes a new built‐in self‐test feature to identify defective TSV channels. For defective TSVs, this paper also introduces dynamic self‐repair architectures using code‐based and hardware‐mapping based repair.
