本文报导了一种制备ZrO2高温快离子导体的新方法,使用连续CO2激光束在非平衡条件下熔凝CaO及MgO稳定的ZrO2快离子导体,激光作用时间只有几分钟。在室温至1000℃的范围内测量了样品的电导率,其结果与国外用常规方法制得的同类快离子导体的研究结果相当。  相似文献

使用DC-PBH型激光二极管芯片,设计制作了实用化封装形式的宽带半导体激光器组件,在理论上和实验上研究了组件的封装模型、小信号频率调制特性和非线性失真,其光响应为3dB,带宽大于2GHz.该器件可满足六次群光通信系统的带宽要求,也可用于GHz级微波副载波光通信系统.  相似文献

本文对BC型激光二极管(LD)从理论上导出弛豫振荡频率公式,并在实验上得到了验证.研制出高速LD组件,其调制频率可以达到5.3GHz.并在一公里光纤链路上测量了检测信号的载噪比、互调失真等特性.结果表明:该LD组件可用于直接传输C波段卫星下行信号(3.7~4.2GHz)的副载波复用光纤通信系统.  相似文献

This paper describes the design and performance of a 10-Gb/s laser diode (LD) transmitter and avalanche photodiode (APD) receiver, both of which are based on GaAs MESFET IC's. The LD transmitter consists of a strained MQW distributed-feedback LD and one chip LD driver IC. The module output power is +4.6 dBm at 10 Gb/s. The APD receiver consists of an InGaAsP/InAl/As superlattice-APD and an IC-preamplifier with the 10-Gb/s receiver sensitivity of -27.4 dBm. As for the LD transmitter, we discuss the optimum impedance-matching design from the viewpoint of high-speed interconnection between LD and driver IC's. As for the APD receiver, the key issue is input impedance design of preamplifier IC, considering noise and bandwidth characteristics. Total performance of the transmitter and receiver is verified by a 10-Gb/s transmission experiment and a penalty-free 10-Gb/s fiber-optic link over 80 km of conventional single-mode fiber is successfully achieved  相似文献

针对 8 0 8nm大功率 Ga As/ Ga Al As半导体量子阱激光器的远场光场分布特点 ,提出了与多模光纤耦合时对耦合光学系统的特殊要求 ,并根据低成本、实用化的要求设计制作了专用的耦合光学系统 ,对耦合光学系统的实际性能进行了测试 ,给出了耦合效率统计分布图、耦合偏差曲线和高低温可靠性实验结果 .用设计制作出的实用化耦合光学系统完成了输出功率 15— 30 W,光纤束数值孔径为 0 .11— 0 .2 2的半导体激光光纤耦合模块 ,模块的使用结果表明耦合光学系统稳定、高效、实用  相似文献

Intense picosecond optical pulse generation from a gain-switched laser diode (LD) was demonstrated using a 1.48-μm LD-pumped Er3+ -doped fiber laser amplifier. Saturation characteristics of the amplifier output power were also measured as a function of input repetition frequency. An amplified peak power of 12 W and 105-pJ pulse energy were obtained for 9-ps pulses at a 33-GHz repetition frequency. This is the highest peak power yet demonstrated in pulse generation employing all-laser diodes as active devices  相似文献

Measured and calculated data on the tradeoffs between modal noise reduction and intermodulation penalty are presented. The authors quantify how a high modulation bandwidth and optical power can be obtained using conventional high-speed semiconductor lasers, by combining a sinusoidal auxiliary microwave signal with the normal data signal. How the characteristics of the laser diode determine the optimum values of the auxiliary carrier parameters is shown. Some results of optical data link simulations are presented. A 2.4-Gb/s transmission experiment shows an improvement of the bit error rate due to the microwave signal  相似文献

This paper describes the development of an efficient praseodymium-doped fluoride fiber amplifier (PDFA) using newly developed PbF2-InF3-based fluoride single-mode fiber. First, the spectroscopic properties of Pr3+ in PbF2-InF 3-based and ZrF4-based fluoride glass are compared and then the fabrication of high-NA PbF2-InF3-based fluoride single-mode fiber is presented. The gain coefficients obtained with the developed fiber are 0.36 dB/mW with a forward pumping scheme and 0.4 dB/mW with a bidirectional pumping scheme. We use this newly developed fiber to construct two types of an efficient PDFA module. We realized a 19-in rack size PDFA module with a master oscillator/power amplifier laser diode (MOPA-LD) and a plug-in type PDFA module with a wavelength-stabilized 1.017-μm LD and describe their amplification characteristics  相似文献

采用一种阶梯排列结构的单管激光器合束技术制成了高亮度半导体激光器光纤耦合模块,可用于泵浦掺Yb3+大模场双包层光纤激光器。利用微透镜组对各单管半导体激光器进行快慢轴准直,在快轴方向实现光束叠加,然后通过两组消球差设计的柱面透镜组分别对合成光束快慢轴方向进行聚焦,耦合进入光纤。实验中将6只输出功率为6 W 的976 nm单管半导体激光器输出光束耦合进芯径为105 m、数值孔径为0.15的光纤中,当工作电流为6.2 A 时,光纤输出功率达29.0 W,光纤耦合效率达到80.1%,亮度超过4.74 MW/cm2-str。  相似文献

We report on highly reliable, high-power, and high-performance 980-nm quantum-well laser chips and modules. Ridge waveguide laser diode chips with 750-mW output power and 500-mW fiber Bragg grating stabilized modules have been achieved and Telcordia-qualified. Long-term reliability tests show a very low failure rate of 400 FIT (failures in time) at 900-mA operating current or 500-mW module power. The kink-free fiber coupled module output power can be as high as 640 mW with grating stabilization, which produces very good wavelength stability and power stability. A further improved structure shows a record continuous-wave rollover chip power of 1.6 W for the 5-/spl mu/m-wide ridge waveguide laser diodes.  相似文献

A practical laser diode module is demonstrated for single-mode fiber applications. The module was developed through the use of a new combination lens method. The second lens in the confocal two-lens method is divided into two lenses. One is attached to the single-mode fiber front endface, thus forming a virtual fiber. Since both virtual fiber and lens misalignment tolerances are large in this coupling method, soldering is easily applicable. The laser diode module could be fabricated as easily as that for a multimode fiber. High coupling efficiency, excellent reproducibility, and high reliability were confirmed in trial-fabricated modules. Moreover, output power fluctuation due to reflected lightwaves was found to be very small.  相似文献

波分复用的系统光源中心频率的稳定技术是该系统的关键技术之一。本文研究了高速率(以2.5Ghit/s速率为例)速分复用系统中光发射模块中心频率的稳定技术一温度反馈稳频技术。根据温度反馈稳频技术原理,作者设计并调试了高精度自动控制模块。该控温模块通过控制2.5Gbit/s光发射模块中激光器管芯温度来稳定其中心频率,为波分复用系统的应用提供了具备稳定中心频率特性的光源。  相似文献

为了在光纤干涉仪中得到光源高精度稳频输出,采用高稳定度的恒温控制以及功率稳恒控制方法,通过高信噪比的运算放大器、半导体制冷器,设计了一种激光电源驱动系统,并进行了理论分析和实验验证。其能为半导体激光器提供温度控制精度在±0.01℃,制冷驱动电流可达800mA,同时使得半导体激光器输出波长控制精度在±0.1nm,驱动电流最大输出可达180mA,输出电流的稳定度为10-4~10-5。结果表明,该系统不仅结构简单,而且温度控制稳定、准确度高,可使半导体激光器的输出波长保持稳定,保证了干涉型光纤传感器的测量准确度以及在通信领域中的应用。  相似文献

光纤耦合输出的高功率激光二极管(LD)模块作为光纤激光器的抽运源已经得到了广泛应用。为了进一步提高光纤耦合激光二极管输出功率,提出了利用激光二极管输出光束的线偏振特性,采用偏振复用技术,将两只高功率激光二极管输出光束经准直、复合、聚焦的光纤耦合方法。利用光线追迹法,分析了圆柱透镜对激光二极管发散光束的准直特性,并讨论了柱透镜的安装距离对准直性能的影响。根据激光二极管和光纤的相关参数设计了聚焦透镜组。采用这种方法将两只输出波长为980 nm的高功率激光二极管输出光束耦合进数值孔径0.22,芯径100μm的多模光纤中,当工作电流为4.5 A时,光纤激光连续输出功率为6.36 W,耦合效率大于78%。  相似文献

为了发挥单管半导体激光器的优势,获得光纤耦合模块多波长、高功率、高亮度的光束输出,利用ZEMAX软件仿真模拟,设计了一种单管光纤耦合模块。此模块将32支输出波长分别为915 nm、975 nm,输出功率为15 W的单管半导体激光器,经过微透镜组快慢轴光束整形、空间合束、偏振合束、波长合束以及光束聚焦等一系列工艺后,耦合进芯径200 m、数值孔径0.22的光纤。模拟结果显示,光纤输出功率467.46 W,光纤前后耦合效率大于98.47%,总耦合效率高于97.39%,光功率密度高于12.86 MW/(cm2sr),达到了泵浦激光器和功率型器件的性能要求。使用Solidworks软件设计了相应的底板结构,并结合ANSYS软件进行散热模拟分析,结果显示该模块散热性能良好,可行性较高。  相似文献

The fabrication and characteristics of a 1.3-μm laser diode (LD) module for single-mode fiber using a molded aspheric glass lens is discussed. An average coupling loss of 2.2 dB with a standard deviation of less than 0.5 dB after thermal heat cycling tests was achieved. The average assembly loss was 0.24 dB. An LD redundancy system having one cold standby laser diode is proposed to improve reliability in submarine optical transmission systems. This system makes use of the intrinsic laser polarization and consists of two LD modules and a polarization coupler connected by polarization maintaining (PANDA) fibers. The optical power insertion loss of this LD redundant system is 5.5 dB, including coupling loss between the laser diode and PANDA fiber. This LD redundant system will be applied in submarine optical repeaters.  相似文献
