本发明涉及一种催化剂以及该催化剂在苯与过氧化氢合成苯酚反应中的应用，该催化剂的载体是一种改性的天然红色粘土，催化剂的活性组分可以为钒，锰，铜，钨，钼，铬，钴，铁等的氧化物中的一种或几种组成。其制备方法：将金属的草酸盐、硝酸盐或者该金属的酸式铵盐溶于溶剂，加入载体，浸渍，烘干，研磨，高温分解，煅烧成品。该催化剂的载体来源丰富，催化剂价格低廉，制备工艺过程简单，可应用于苯与过氧化氢合成苯酚的反应。

Observations on the pia-arachnoid of the anterior median fissure and the posterior median sulcus of the fetal spinal cord of the albino mouse

A pericentric inversion of an X chromosome [46,X,inv(X)(p11q28] with no detectable deletions was ascertained by amniocentesis for prenatal diagnosis in a 42-year-old woman. No defintive counsel could be offered as such an inversion had not been previously reported. At 1 year, the infant appears normal. These data and the review of other recently published karyotypes suggest an absence of a somatic position effect in the human X chromosome and possible biases of ascertainment or possible alternative karyotypic interpretations of some previously reported inv(X) cases.     

Investigation of the effect of the cooling mode on the quality of alumina-containing cakes

It has been established under laboratory conditions that there is an increase in the β-C₂S content and a decrease in the α′-C₂S content when the nepheline cake is held for τ = 0–30 min in a temperature range of 630–680°C. Specifically, industrial tests on a fire grate cooler confirmed the effect that the duration of holding the cake at T = 630–680°C exerts on its quality; an increase in τ from 1.6 to 4.9 min led to an increase in the β-C₂S content by 3% and an increase in the α′-C₂S content by 4%.     

The role of applicability in the emergence of the overattribution bias.

Study 1 assessed participants' theories regarding various issues previously used in overattribution bias studies. Results suggest that personality plays an important role in explaining positions on these issues. Studies 2, 3, and 4 indicated that the overattribution bias is contingent on the explanatory applicability of accessible concepts for a particular issue. Study 2 used an issue associated with personality; an overattribution bias emerged only when personality was stressed in the instructions. Study 3 used an issue associated with a sociological theory; this time, an overattribution bias appeared only when a socioeconomic concept was emphasized. Essays were not circulated in Studies 2 and 3, but were in Study 4. Again, the bias appeared only when an applicable (personality) concept was activated. The muscular tissue of the vestibular folds of the larynx

The muscular tissue of the vestibular folds was investigated in plastinated serial sections of 32 normal adult larynges. Three muscular systems could be distinguished. A posterolateral muscle layer was found to be developed at the lateral margin of the posterior part of the vestibular fold. Its fibers extended in a sagittal direction, and their contraction probably resulted in an adduction of the entire tissue of the vestibular fold towards the midline. Within the anterior part of the vestibular fold, an anterolateral muscle sheet was seen to attach to the thyroid cartilage. An anteromedial muscular system consisted of scattered groups of muscle fibers situated medially and dorsally to the laryngeal ventricle and saccule. These fibers were presumed to exert a downward pressure on the vestibular folds, in addition to an adductor function. According to clinical experience, adductor movements of the vestibular folds can be trained, even in cases with a recurrent laryngeal nerve lesion, in order to produce a compensatory voice. Thus, the muscles of the vestibular folds are probably innervated by the superior laryngeal nerve.     

Use of the Gamma nail in the treatment of fractures of the proximal femur

Fractures of the proximal femur are, more than ever, an important challenge in the field of traumatology. The Gamma nail, a combination of advantages of the sliding screw with the intramedullary nail, represents an efficient technique in the management of these fractures. A series of 224 fractures of the proximal femur in which this nail was used is reported. The average age of the patients was 79.2 years. The mean healing time was 68.2 days in 99.4% of the cases. The incidence of perioperative complications was 10.3% showing that, in most of the cases, the complications occurred because of poor technique. Postoperative complications occurred with an incidence of 14.1%. Seven cases of migration of a proximal screw, six shaft fractures, and one broken nail were the most important complications. The device allowed for early mobilization and full weightbearing of the affected hip regardless of the type of fracture. With adequate surgical technique and experience, the advantages of the Gamma nail increases as the complication rate diminishes.     

The effect of D-penicillamine on the metabolism of the basic substance of the connective tissue and the indices of the liver parenchyma in experimental cirrhosis in rats

Effect of unilateral (one leg) and bilateral (two legs) sciatectomy was studied on certain serum constituents in the male frog over a period of 3 weeks. The level of creatine kinase, acid and alkaline phosphatases, urea, glucose and proteins increased initially following sciatectomy and decreased subsequently from day 14 onwards, the per cent change being more pronounced in case of bilaterally sciatectomized frogs. The present results indicate an increase in the rate of deamination of proteins in the liver, an impairment in the transportation processes across the cell membrane and an increase in cellular lysosomal activity on sciatectomy suggesting a change either in the amount or in the rate of various enzyme reactions. It is concluded that sciatectomy induces alterations in general metabolic activities and the functional state of the animal. Altered values of various serum constituents thus permit to speculate analysis of the factor that may be contributing to the atrophic processes and the wasting of the muscle fibres known to set in the denervated muscle.     

Identification of the site of the globin-derived radical in leghaemoglobins

Reaction of the Fe3+ form of the oxygen-carrying protein leghaemoglobin (MetLb), derived from the root nodules of lupins, with H2O2 is shown to generate, in addition to an iron (IV)-oxo (ferryl) species, a globin radical. This radical has been detected by EPR spectroscopy and is analogous to the species previously observed with the soybean protein. Analysis of the hyperfine coupling constants and g value of the EPR signal, together with computer simulations and the similarity of the observed spectra of that detected with the soybean form suggest that this species is also a tyrosine-derived phenoxyl radical; this species is believed to arise via an electron-transfer process within the protein with an electron being transferred from the tyrosine residue to an initially-generated Compound-1-type species. Comparison of the protein sequences and structures of the two proteins show that there is only one conserved tyrosine residue (at position 133 in the soybean and 138 in the lupin); this is believed to be the site of the phenoxyl radical. The lupin phenoxyl radical reacts with added water-soluble antioxidants and reducing agents which result in repair of the radical; this may be an important protective mechanism in vivo. Analysis of molecular models of the protein structures is in accord with both the assignment of the radical to this conserved tyrosine residue and the observed radical reactivity.
