The costs of in vivo dosimetry and portal imaging in radiotherapy are estimated, on the basis of a detailed overview of the activities involved in both quality assurance techniques. These activities require the availability of equipment, the use of material and workload. The cost calculations allow to conclude that for most departments in vivo dosimetry with diodes will be a cheaper alternative than in vivo dosimetry with TLD-meters. Whether TLD measurements can be performed cheaper with an automatic reader (with a higher equipment cost, but lower workload) or with a semi-automatic reader (lower equipment cost, but higher workload), depends on the number of checks in the department. LSP-systems (with a very high equipment cost) as well as on-line imaging systems will be cheaper portal imaging techniques than conventional port films (with high material costs) for large departments, or for smaller departments that perform frequent volume checks. 相似文献

Value-added applications of niobium (Nb) microalloyed steels continue to be developed for commercial implementation to meet increased material demands and improved properties for 21st century structural applications. These applications demand Nb-bearing steels that deliver improved toughness, fracture and fire resistance and weldability. Such applications include medium and jumbo beam, boiler, bridge, container, heavy equipment, long product, pressure vessel, ship, storage tank and windtower applications. Steel producers are challenged to develop microalloyed steel grades that cost effectively meet end user demands for higher strength at thinner cross sections, better low temperature toughness to resist brittle fracture in building, pressure vessel and ship structures, sustain higher loads per unit area in earthquake and hurricane zone product applications, demonstrate improved fire-resistance in buildings, bridges and tunnels and provide overall improved weldability. Niobium is often a key element to achieve these results. This paper will discuss Nb market opportunities and key operational practices required to successfully melt, cast and roll these high strength steel grades. Niobium process metallurgy is important to leverage the ability of niobium to obtain ultra-fine grain, homogeneous structural steel microstructures with superior mechanical properties. The process metallurgy, physical metallurgy and resultant properties are significantly determined by mill capabilities, mill practices, operational understanding and the culture of the steel mill. The optimal combination and implementation aspects that are unique to each mill we call metallurgical operational integration (MOI) . 随着新一代航空航天飞行器向着高速化、大型化、结构复杂化以及提高燃油效率等方向的跨越式发展,要求钛合金结构材料具有高比强度、高比模量、高韧性、高损伤容限、低成本以及可焊接等优良的综合性能匹配。此外,航天、兵器、船舶等武器装备各框梁类承力构件、承力螺栓等紧固件、高强度弹簧等弹性元件、航母弹射器与装甲等均对高强度钛合金、超高强度钛合金提出了明确需求。因此,超高强度钛合金成为了新一代武器装备发展的关键支撑材料之一,是钛合金开发和应用研究的重点方向,更是各国政府关注和重点发展的新型军用先进材料。介绍了国内外主要超高强度钛合金(TB8,TB-13,Ti-B19,Ti-B20,GUM,β21S和Timetal-LCB等)的发展和应用情况,指出了超高强度钛合金存在强度不断提高的同时,塑性、韧性、模量、疲劳性能以及损伤容限性能不同程度地降低,同时缺乏对合金化机制、强韧化理论和方法等基础问题的深入系统研究。最后提出了超高强度钛合金的发展方向。 相似文献

There are a large number of ideas concerning the systematization of clinical laboratory management. Therefore many types of laboratory systems have been constructed. As our hospital is not large, we adopted a small scale laboratory system. In introducing it, we expected not only an increase in value-added labor productivity by automating laboratory tests, but also an improvement in technologist's cost awareness. Consequently, new system equipment has itself performed the former in many sections, but not the latter. Improvement in cost awareness was caused by the technologist's routine work in managing reagent and material stocks. We found that this soft-type systematization has been more important than the advanced hard-type system. 相似文献

近年来,随着我国海洋资源开发不断走向深水,海洋工程装备对材料的性能要求不断提高,设计和开发高性能钢铁材料已经成为海洋工程材料的主要发展趋势之一。应用传统的“试错法”开发新材料虽然能避开物理机制不明的制约,但研发周期长、成本高、效率低。“材料基因组”思想应运而生,材料的设计逐渐由“炒菜式”向理性设计改变。而材料基因工程以“研发周期缩短一半、研发成本降低一半”为目标,为新材料的研发提供了新的方向。文中在对材料基因工程的基础理论与方法、关键技术、发展现状等方面总结分析的基础上,提出了海洋工程用钢材料基因化的设计思路。短期来看可以缩短研发周期同时降低成本,长期来看还可以实现海洋工程用钢的按需设计,充实钢铁材料数据库,为后续的材料计算与开发提供依据。 相似文献
