SSI or Systems Software Interface is the name of a project once proposed by Japan to ISO/TC 97 (now ISO/IEC JTC 1) to standardize interfaces between application programs and various systems software, which are now commonly called application program interfaces (API), to accomplish portability of future applications. The proposal was not accepted as originally intended and ended up with a technical study conducted by ISO/IEC JTC 1 /TSG-1 (Interfaces for Application Portability), which has eventually triggered the recent international activity on OSE (Open System Environment). This article gives a background story of various efforts and reactions related to the SSI proposal, and tries to analyze why this apparently important proposal has failed. 近年来,随着国际竞争的不断升级,“质量是软件的生命”这一口号已深入人心。软件质量评价作为软件质量保证的重要手段,已逐渐被开发商、用户所重视。世界上有许多机构开始进行质量评价的形式化手段研究,并推出了如DIN66285,ISO9126等软件质量评价标准。本文就是对这一领域的研究,主要分析了软件质量的科学评价方法,总结了得出的一些算法与心得,在国内首次提出了评价模型分级的设想,并在计算机上加以实现。  相似文献

Formal standards groups have been criticized in recent years for the time required to develop standards. With notable exceptions, standards groups have earned this criticism. One body, ISO/IEC JTC1 (Joint Technical Committee 1), is aggressively addressing the time required to develop formal international standards (ISs) for the information technology industry. With its latest addition, publicly available specification (PAS), JTC1 now has three standards development paradigms: traditional, fast-track and PAS. All three paradigms share the same final approval procedures but have different development processes. The PAS paradigm resembles both the traditional and fast-track paradigms in its process for moving from a draft IS to an IS. The PAS paradigm even more closely resembles the fast-track paradigm in that it lets a standard be initially developed outside ISO. However, whereas the fast-track paradigm lets a standard be developed by a JTC1 member, the PAS paradigm lets it be developed by any organization  相似文献

The quality characteristics of metrological software are required by national or regional legislation, e.g., in legal metrology, or for safety critical applications, or by various standards such as software product quality standards (ISO/IEC 91261) or laboratory competence standards (ISO/IEC 170252).The parties involved are interested in getting a clear guidance for software quality requirements and validation methods. There is a drastic rise and evolution of Software and Systems Product Lines (SSPL) as a potential solution to deliver quality software products in a shorter time and with less effort. This has led to a plethora of diversified tools across the entire life cycle of SSPL, making it difficult for product line organizations to select the right set of tools for product line realization and tool vendors to develop interoperable tools. In this paper, we motivate the need for standardization of tools and methods for SSPL. The ISO/IEC JTC1/SC7 (Software and Systems Engineering) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has proposed a set of interrelated standards in the area of SSPL to cater to the emerging demands of software and systems industry. We present the foundation of SSPL family of standards that are driven by market needs and discuss the core patterns and processes of SSPL. We then present an overview of ISO/IEC 26550, which is the reference model for SSPL family of standards and provide examples from current and ongoing standards. We highlight a few examples of industry adoption of SSPL and standards and emphasize the need for further research for standards in SSPL. We see this paper as a first step to bring standards knowledge into the academic world in the field of SSPL.  相似文献

To address the issues of software product quality, the Joint Technical Committee 1 of the International Organization for Standardization and International Electrotechnical Commission published a set of software product quality standards known as ISO/IEC 9126. These standards specify software product quality's characteristics and subcharacteristics and their metrics. In the context of software engineering education, there is a recurrent demand for new approaches and techniques that support the application and transfer of knowledge to real-life situations with the aim of encouraging a more active learning among students. In particular, serious games have recently become an important learning resource for teaching the fundamentals of software process standards at undergraduate level. However, poor effort has been made to create a serious game that supports the teaching of the ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2011 Systems and Software Engineering – Lifecycle Processes – Requirements Engineering, an international standard that specifies the required processes that are to be implemented by requirements engineering for systems and software products (including services) throughout the lifecycle. With this in mind, a serious game called “Requengin” has been developed to provide undergraduate students with an interactive learning environment to facilitate the introduction of ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2011. The main objective of the game is to strengthen the comprehension and application of the main processes of the standard and some related requirements engineering techniques. Requengin was designed to simulate an academic library where players must apply the requirements engineering processes with the aim of changing the traditional management system by a software system while they receive, at the same time, preliminary training in ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2011. The results obtained by empirical evaluation indicate that Requengin could potentially contribute to an improvement in students’ acquisition of knowledge about ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2011, while also improving levels of motivation.  相似文献
