应用多媒体技术教学的优势及存在问题与对策

每一种媒体部有自身的长处，对某种特定的教学和学习有效。同样，每种媒体又不可避免地存在局限性，不利于某些教学和学习。因此，多媒体不是一种全能的媒体，也不可能代替传统媒体。现代媒体与传统媒体在教学中应相互补充，取长补短，相得益彰。

DSP与单片机之间串行通信的设计与实现

设计复杂双CPU系统的关键是两者之间的接口与数据通信问题。针对单片机89C51与TMS320LF2407ADSP构成的双CPU系统,本文提出了一种简单可行的串行通信方式。本文不仅介绍了两者之间的硬件连接示意图,而且完成了两者通信的初始化设置,并且给出了完整的串行通信的软件流程图。     

关联首尾段落与首尾语句的多特征融合段落相似度计算

首尾段落和首尾语句对语义有着较大的贡献,应该作为判别段落相似度的主要因素。本文将其以恰当权重融入SiteQ算法,提出关联首尾段落和首尾语句的多特征融合段落相似度计算算法Topic-SiteQ。该算法采用多特征融合的算法计算首尾语句的语义相似度,并以一定的权值体现它们对段落相似度的贡献,同时提高首尾段落的评分值,并根据这次评分值进行推荐排序。实验表明,采用该算法,相关段落排序的MRR值提高了0.032,F测度值平均提高了1.4%,说明该算法的改进是有效的。

本文根据作者的PLC应用实践,借鉴高级语言的编程方法,从人机接口入手,自顶向下的分析程序结构,对PLC的结构化编程进行了探讨。     

Between the crystalline and the chaotic

This short feature documents elements of research in advance of a long-term work. Rather than a technical account or retrospective, the aim is to demonstrate by example how research itself is a primary process, illustrated by work carried out at the Institute of Creative Technologies (IOCT) during the last few years. When creative output is appraised only from its visible results, something is lost in the telling; carefully selected public facets rarely convey the depths of the underlying lines of inquiry. The research covered is for a work that generates quantitative data, driving visualisations of human movement, proximity and orientation. The aim is to reveal how these literal data reflect our relationships to one another in social settings. To contextualise the current process, complex systems, dynamic pattern formation and other works are also mentioned. As a personal account, it seemed appropriate to supplement the usual academic passive voice with first-person narrative.     

On the measure and the estimation of evenness and diversity

Modelling word or species frequency count data through zero truncated Poisson mixture models allows one to interpret the model mixing distribution as the distribution of the word or species frequencies of the vocabulary or population. As a consequence, estimates of their mixing density can be used as a fingerprint of the style of the author in his texts or of the ecosystem in its samples. Definitions of measure of the evenness and of measure of the diversity within a vocabulary or population are given, and the novelty of these definitions is explained. It is then proposed that the measures of the evenness and of the diversity of a vocabulary or population be approximated through the expectation of these measures under the word or species frequency distribution. That leads to the assessment of the lack of diversity through measures of the variability of the mixing frequency distribution estimates described above.

The natural or biological world often provides models of the simplicity, elegance and complex interactivity that we seek to impart to our technologies, buildings and artworks. Within discussions of form, materials or functionality, we look to the world of insects, animals, plants and even our own bodies for solutions and innovation. Though we may work with the organisms themselves, the first step usually involves a rupture of context, a mutation of interdependent being into a discrete object, a model for the extraction of desired characteristics. The reality of embedded wild growth, with its complexity and interrelation, has often been described in terms of infestation or of ‘nature taking over,’ a challenge to our dominance of the world. However, a closer study of this interpenetration of uncontrolled nature within spaces around us reveals our immediate surroundings to be both wilder and more alive than we often presume them to be.

中山大学数学与计算科学学院网站构建以FRONTPAGE98为主要开发工具,以HTML和DHTML为主要开发语言,以WINDOWSNT4.0为网站服务器操作系统,以IIS3.0为WEB服务器,提供了HTTP和FTP两种服务。同时还运用了VB、JAVA、JavaScript语言为网站提供各种HTML、DHTML所无法实现的扩展功能。该文从网站的总体设计思想、设计过程与技术细节来阐述整个网站的设计过程。

Information systems and performance: the role of technology,the task and the individual

Organisations require good performance from individuals to achieve their objectives. In view of the growing presence of technology, it becomes necessary to understand performance in the context of information systems. However, the research streams that study performance (e.g. industrial psychology or the impact of technology on performance) focus primarily on a single component (the individual or the technology). The systemic perspective, for its part, considers all three components (technology, the individual and the task) and their relationships in order to explain performance. From this perspective, this article develops a research model where individual (knowledge of the task and the technology), task (ease) and technology (usefulness and ease) factors determine performance. Links are also established between these factors. Data were collected from 246 individuals and the results show that the proposed links are significant. This research highlights that management should take into account all three components to boost performance. The study emphasises in which factors of these components special care should be taken. The lack of improvement in performance after the introduction of an information system may not be solved merely by tackling the features of the technology but also by simplifying the tasks or reviewing the users’ knowledge gaps.

Youth and the Internet: Uses and practices in the home

The aim of the present research was to examine the relationship between Greek young people aged 12–18 and the Internet through their patterns of Internet use in the home. A particular objective of the study was the investigation of the possible effects of social stratification, gender and age on their domestic Internet use. A sample of 418 high school students selected from 17 schools in four Greek cities completed a structured self-reported questionnaire primarily concerned with Internet use (frequency, purpose and behaviour patterns) at home and the types of the parental supervision. The research was carried out during the period 2004–2005. The main findings of the study were the following: (a) Internet access remains at a very low level and is insufficiently used for school purposes, (b) younger students (aged 12–15 years) use it more frequently than older ones for information seeking concerning school work, (c) the Internet is an indicator of social and economic stratification since most young people with access to it come from family environments with a higher educational and socioeconomic background and live in urban and semi urban areas, (d) boys make up the majority of systematic users, mainly for entertainment purposes, (e) the Internet is a place and space safeguarding the “privacy” of young people with the majority of them preferring to surf alone, (f) parental supervision and monitoring seems to be absent largely from the relationship between youth and the Internet, and (g) in general, the frequency and type of Internet use are not significantly affected by students’ places of residence or the educational level and profession of their parents.
