Mines, quarries and construction sites face environmental impacts, such as flyrock, due to blasting operations. Flyrock may cause damage to structures and injury to human. Therefore, flyrock prediction is required to determine safe blasting zone. In this regard, 232 blasting operations were investigated in five granite quarries, Malaysia. Blasting parameters comprising maximum charge per delay and powder factor were prepared to predict flyrock using empirical and intelligent methods. An empirical graph was proposed to predict flyrock distance for different powder factor values. In addition, using the same datasets, two intelligent systems, namely artificial neural network (ANN) and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) were used to predict flyrock. Considering some model performance indices including coefficient of determination (R 2), value account for and root mean squared error and also using simple ranking procedure, the best flyrock prediction models were selected. It was found that the ANFIS model can predict flyrock with higher performance capacity compared to ANN predictive model. R 2 values of testing datasets are 0.925 and 0.964 for ANN and ANFIS techniques, respectively, suggesting the superiority of the ANFIS technique in predicting flyrock.  相似文献

This research presents several non-linear models including empirical, artificial neural network (ANN), fuzzy system and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) to estimate air-overpressure (AOp) resulting from mine blasting. For this purpose, Miduk copper mine, Iran was investigated and results of 77 blasting works were recorded to be utilized for AOp prediction. In the modeling procedure of this study, results of distance from the blast-face and maximum charge per delay were considered as predictors. After constructing the non-linear models, several performance prediction indices, i.e. root mean squared error (RMSE), variance account for (VAF), and coefficient of determination (R 2) and total ranking method are examined to choose the best predictive models and evaluation of the obtained results. It is obtained that the ANFIS model is superior to other utilized techniques in terms of R 2, RMSE, VAF and ranking herein. As an example, RMSE values of 5.628, 3.937, 3.619 and 2.329 were obtained for testing datasets of empirical, ANN, fuzzy and ANFIS models, respectively, which indicate higher performance capacity of the ANFIS technique to estimate AOp compared to other implemented methods.  相似文献

The solvability conditions and just the solution of the problem of the regular and irregular proportional-integral (PI) control are found in accordance with the properties of invariant zeros of a multi-input multioutput (MIMO) system. It is proved that the problem of synthesizing the control of the MIMO system is solvable if and only if the pair of matrices (A, B) that describes a control plant is controllable and the matrix BLACR (where BL is the left zero divisor of the matrix B and CR is the right zero divisor of the output matrix C) has a complete row rank.  相似文献

Design of rectangular concrete-filled steel tubular (CFT) columns has been a big concern owing to their complex constraint mechanism. Generally, most existing methods are based on simplified mechanical model with limited experimental data, which is not reliable under many conditions, e.g., columns using high strength materials. Artificial neural network (ANN) models have shown the effectiveness to solve complex problems in many areas of civil engineering in recent years. In this paper, ANN models were employed to predict the axial bearing capacity of rectangular CFT columns based on the experimental data. 305 experimental data from articles were collected, and 275 experimental samples were chosen to train the ANN models while 30 experimental samples were used for testing. Based on the comparison among different models, artificial neural network model1 (ANN1) and artificial neural network model2 (ANN2) with a 20-neuron hidden layer were chosen as the fit prediction models. ANN1 has five inputs: the length (D) and width (B) of cross section, the thickness of steel (t), the yield strength of steel (f y), the cylinder strength of concrete (fc). ANN2 has ten inputs: D, B, t, f y, fc, the length to width ratio (D/B), the length to thickness ratio (D/t), the width to thickness ratio (B/t), restraint coefficient (ξ), the steel ratio (α). The axial bearing capacity is the output data for both models.The outputs from ANN1 and ANN2 were verified and compared with those from EC4, ACI, GJB4142 and AISC360-10. The results show that the implemented models have good prediction and generalization capacity. Parametric study was conducted using ANN1 and ANN2 which indicates that effect law of basic parameters of columns on the axial bearing capacity of rectangular CFT columns differs from design codes.The results also provide convincing design reference to rectangular CFT columns.  相似文献

We initiate a new line of investigation into online property-preserving data reconstruction. Consider a dataset which is assumed to satisfy various (known) structural properties; e.g., it may consist of sorted numbers, or points on a manifold, or vectors in a polyhedral cone, or codewords from an error-correcting code. Because of noise and errors, however, an (unknown) fraction of the data is deemed unsound, i.e., in violation with the expected structural properties. Can one still query into the dataset in an online fashion and be provided data that is always sound? In other words, can one design a filter which, when given a query to any item I in the dataset, returns a sound item J that, although not necessarily in the dataset, differs from I as infrequently as possible. No preprocessing should be allowed and queries should be answered online.We consider the case of a monotone function. Specifically, the dataset encodes a function f:{1,…,n}?? R that is at (unknown) distance ε from monotone, meaning that f can—and must—be modified at ε n places to become monotone.Our main result is a randomized filter that can answer any query in O(log?2 nlog? log?n) time while modifying the function f at only O(ε n) places. The amortized time over n function evaluations is O(log?n). The filter works as stated with probability arbitrarily close to 1. We provide an alternative filter with O(log?n) worst case query time and O(ε nlog?n) function modifications. For reconstructing d-dimensional monotone functions of the form f:{1,…,n} d ? ? R, we present a filter that takes (2 O(d)(log?n)4d?2log?log?n) time per query and modifies at most O(ε n d ) function values (for constant d).  相似文献

Uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) is one of the most important parameters for investigation of rock behaviour in civil and mining engineering applications. The direct method to determine UCS is time consuming and expensive in the laboratory. Therefore, indirect estimation of UCS values using other rock index tests is of interest. In this study, extensive laboratory tests including density test, Schmidt hammer test, point load strength test and UCS test were conducted on 106 samples of sandstone which were taken from three sites in Malaysia. Based on the laboratory results, some new equations with acceptable reliability were developed to predict UCS using simple regression analysis. Additionally, results of simple regression analysis show that there is a need to propose UCS predictive models by multiple inputs. Therefore, considering the same laboratory results, multiple regression (MR) and regression tree (RT) models were also performed. To evaluate performance prediction of the developed models, several performance indices, i.e. coefficient of determination (R 2), variance account for and root mean squared error were examined. The results indicated that the RT model can predict UCS with higher performance capacity compared to MR technique. R 2 values of 0.857 and 0.801 for training and testing datasets, respectively, suggests the superiority of the RT model in predicting UCS, while these values are obtained as 0.754 and 0.770 for MR model, respectively.  相似文献

Given a road network G = (V,E), where V (E) denotes the set of vertices(edges) in G, a set of points of interest P and a query point q residing in G, the reverse furthest neighbors (Rfn R ) query in road networks fetches a set of points pP that take q as their furthest neighbor compared with all points in P ∪ {q}. This is the monochromatic Rfn R (Mrfn R ) query. Another interesting version of Rfn R query is the bichromatic reverse furthest neighbor (Brfn R ) query. Given two sets of points P and Q, and a query point qQ, a Brfn R query fetches a set of points pP that take q as their furthest neighbor compared with all points in Q. This paper presents efficient algorithms for both Mrfn R and Brfn R queries, which utilize landmarks and partitioning-based techniques. Experiments on real datasets confirm the efficiency and scalability of proposed algorithms.  相似文献

The curvature correction to the Lagrangian of vacuum fluctuations is studied. After a brief tour through the vacuum expectation value of the energy–momentum tensor 〈T μν 〉 and comparing this with the semiclassical averaging value of T μν , it is found that vacuum polarization due to curvature determines the effective cosmological constant and the gravitational constant in such a way that the quantum corrections of order R 2 are inevitable in the high curvature regime. Considering the asymptotic past and future as vacuum states of the Universe, a Cosmological Duality Conjecture (CDC) is put forward that “if there are terms proportional to R n (n > 0), there are also terms proportional to R ?m (m >0) in the gravitational Lagrangian.” The CDC indicates a cyclic cosmological evolution where the late-time dark energy phase comes to an end and a collapsing phase begins with reversal of the arrow of time.  相似文献

We focus on the large field of a hyperbolic potential form, which is characterized by a parameter f, in the framework of the brane-world inflation in Randall-Sundrum-II model. From the observed form of the power spectrum P R (k), the parameter f should be of order 0.1m p to 0.001m p , the brane tension must be in the range λ ~ (1?10)×1057 GeV4, and the energy scale is around V0 1/4 ~ 1015 GeV. We find that the inflationary parameters (n s , r, and dn s /d(ln k) depend only on the number of e-folds N. The compatibility of these parameters with the last Planck measurements is realized with large values of N.  相似文献

The final estimate for β is constructed as a convex combination (in α) of the estimates βα(Y) with weights chosen based on the observations Y. We consider a geographic optimization problem in which we are given a region R, a probability density function f(?) defined on R, and a collection of n utility density functions u i (?) defined on R. Our objective is to divide R into n sub-regions R i so as to “balance” the overall utilities on the regions, which are given by the integrals \(\iint _{R_{i}}f(x)u_{i}(x)\, dA\). Using a simple complementary slackness argument, we show that (depending on what we mean precisely by “balancing” the utility functions) the boundary curves between optimal sub-regions are level curves of either the difference function u i (x) ? u j (x) or the ratio u i (x)/u j (x). This allows us to solve the problem of optimally partitioning the region efficiently by reducing it to a low-dimensional convex optimization problem. This result generalizes, and gives very short and constructive proofs of, several existing results in the literature on equitable partitioning for particular forms of f(?) and u i (?). We next give two economic applications of our results in which we show how to compute a market-clearing price vector in an aggregate demand system or a variation of the classical Fisher exchange market. Finally, we consider a dynamic problem in which the density function f(?) varies over time (simulating population migration or transport of a resource, for example) and derive a set of partial differential equations that describe the evolution of the optimal sub-regions over time. Numerical simulations for both static and dynamic problems confirm that such partitioning problems become tractable when using our methods.  相似文献

We obtain new examples of partly supersymmetric M-brane solutions defined on products of Ricci-flat manifolds, which contain a two-dimensional Lorentzian submanifold R * 1,1 /Z 2 with one parallel spinor. This paper introduces α-systems of differential inclusions on a bounded time interval [t0, ?] and defines α-weakly invariant sets in [t0, ?] × ?n, where ?n is a phase space of the differential inclusions. We study the problems connected with bringing the motions (trajectories) of the differential inclusions from an α-system to a given compact set M ? ?n at the moment ? (the approach problems). The issues of extracting the solvability set W ? [t0, ?] × ?n in the problem of bringing the motions of an α-system to M and the issues of calculating the maximal α-weakly invariant set Wc ? [t0, ?] × ?n are also discussed. The notion of the quasi-Hamiltonian of an α-system (α-Hamiltonian) is proposed, which seems important for the problems of bringing the motions of the α-system to M.  相似文献

We introduce a construction of a set of code sequences {Cn(m) : n ≥ 1, m ≥ 1} with memory order m and code length N(n). {Cn(m)} is a generalization of polar codes presented by Ar?kan in [1], where the encoder mapping with length N(n) is obtained recursively from the encoder mappings with lengths N(n ? 1) and N(n ? m), and {Cn(m)} coincides with the original polar codes when m = 1. We show that {Cn(m)} achieves the symmetric capacity I(W) of an arbitrary binary-input, discrete-output memoryless channel W for any fixed m. We also obtain an upper bound on the probability of block-decoding error Pe of {Cn(m)} and show that \({P_e} = O({2^{ - {N^\beta }}})\) is achievable for β < 1/[1+m(? ? 1)], where ? ∈ (1, 2] is the largest real root of the polynomial F(m, ρ) = ρm ? ρm ? 1 ? 1. The encoding and decoding complexities of {Cn(m)} decrease with increasing m, which proves the existence of new polar coding schemes that have lower complexity than Ar?kan’s construction.  相似文献

Let G be a finite nontrivial group with an irreducible complex character χ of degree d = χ(1). According to the orthogonality relation, the sum of the squared degrees of irreducible characters of G is the order of G. N. Snyder proved that, if G = d(d + e), then the order of the group G is bounded in terms of e for e > 1. Y. Berkovich demonstrated that, in the case e = 1, the group G is Frobenius with the complement of order d. This paper studies a finite nontrivial group G with an irreducible complex character Θ such that G ≤ 2Θ(1)2 and Θ(1) = pq where p and q are different primes. In this case, we have shown that G is a solvable group with an Abelian normal subgroup K of index pq. Using the classification of finite simple groups, we have established that the simple non-Abelian group, the order of which is divisible by the prime p and not greater than 2p 4 is isomorphic to one of the following groups: L 2(q), L 3(q), U 3(q), S z(8), A 7, M 11, and J 1.  相似文献

Blasting operation is widely used method for rock excavation in mining and civil works. Ground vibration and air-overpressure (AOp) are two of the most detrimental effects induced by blasting. So, evaluation and prediction of ground vibration and AOp are essential. This paper presents a new combination of artificial neural network (ANN) and K-nearest neighbors (KNN) models to predict blast-induced ground vibration and AOp. Here, this combination is abbreviated using ANN-KNN. To indicate performance of the ANN-KNN model in predicting ground vibration and AOp, a pre-developed ANN as well as two empirical equations, presented by United States Bureau of Mines (USBM), were developed. To construct the mentioned models, maximum charge per delay (MC) and distance between blast face and monitoring station (D) were set as input parameters, whereas AOp and peak particle velocity (PPV), as a vibration index, were considered as output parameters. A database consisting of 75 datasets, obtained from the Shur river dam, Iran, was utilized to develop the mentioned models. In terms of using three performance indices, namely coefficient correlation (R 2), root mean square error and variance account for, the superiority of the ANN-KNN model was proved in comparison with the ANN and USBM equations.  相似文献

An n-dimensional bijective connection network (in brief, BC network), denoted by X n , is an n-regular graph with 2 n nodes and n2 n?1 edges. Hypercubes, crossed cubes, twisted cubes, and Möbius cubes all belong to the class of BC networks (Fan and He in Chin. J. Comput. 26(1):84–90, [2003]). We prove that the super connectivity of X n is 2n?2 for n≥3 and the conditional diagnosability of X n is 4n?7 for n≥5. As a corollary of this result, we obtain the super connectivity and conditional diagnosability of the hypercubes, twisted cubes, crossed cubes, and Möbius cubes.  相似文献

Two codes C 1 and C 2 are said to be weakly isometric if there exists a mapping J: C 1C 2 such that for all x, y in C 1 the equality d(x, y) = d holds if and only if d(J(x), J(y)) = d, where d is the code distance of C 1. We prove that Preparata codes of length n ≥ 212 are weakly isometric if and only if the codes are equivalent. In negation-limited complexity, one considers circuits with a limited number of NOT gates, being motivated by the gap in our understanding of monotone versus general circuit complexity, and hoping to better understand the power of NOT gates. We give improved lower bounds for the size (the number of AND/OR/NOT) of negation-limited circuits computing Parity and for the size of negation-limited inverters. An inverter is a circuit with inputs x 1,…,x n and outputs ¬ x 1,…,¬ x n . We show that: (a) for n=2 r ?1, circuits computing Parity with r?1 NOT gates have size at least 6n?log?2(n+1)?O(1), and (b) for n=2 r ?1, inverters with r NOT gates have size at least 8n?log?2(n+1)?O(1). We derive our bounds above by considering the minimum size of a circuit with at most r NOT gates that computes Parity for sorted inputs x 1???x n . For an arbitrary r, we completely determine the minimum size. It is 2n?r?2 for odd n and 2n?r?1 for even n for ?log?2(n+1)??1≤rn/2, and it is ?3n/2??1 for rn/2. We also determine the minimum size of an inverter for sorted inputs with at most r NOT gates. It is 4n?3r for ?log?2(n+1)?≤rn. In particular, the negation-limited inverter for sorted inputs due to Fischer, which is a core component in all the known constructions of negation-limited inverters, is shown to have the minimum possible size. Our fairly simple lower bound proofs use gate elimination arguments in a somewhat novel way.  相似文献
