The superior high temperature mechanical strength and oxidation resistance of ferritic oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) tubular alloys are compromised by the difficulties encountered in joining. Conventional fusion welding techniques generate a weld fusion zone which is devoid of the mechanical strength exhibited by the base material. Therefore, more sophisticated solid state joining techniques, such as diffusion bonding, must be employed when joining ODS materials. This paper describes a series of solid state diffusion bonding experiments carried out between two tubular ferritic ODS alloys and two high temperature austenitic alloys. Careful control of bonding conditions produced pressure retaining joints between one of the tubular ODS alloys and both austenitic alloys. The successful joint design was incorporated into the manufacture of a tubular creep component, which enabled a series of internally pressurized creep tests to be carried out. The microstructure developed at the bond interface of each of the four separate material couples is described and the high temperature performance of the pressure retaining joints is discussed.  相似文献

Sol-gel chemistry was successfully used for the fabrication of open tubular columns with surface-bonded octadecylsilane (ODS) stationary-phase coating for capillary electrochromatography (OT-CEC). Following column preparations, a series of experiments were performed to investigate the performance of the sol-gel coated ODS columns in OT-CEC. The incorporation of N-octadecyldimethyl[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ammonium chloride as one of the sol-gel precursors played an important role in the electrochromatographic performance of the prepared columns. This chemical reagent possesses a chromatographically favorable, bonded ODS moiety, in conjunction with three methoxy groups allowing for sol-gel reactivity. In addition, a positively charged nitrogen atom is present in the molecular structure of this reagent and provides a positively charged capillary surface responsible for the reversed electroosmotic flow (EOF) in the columns during CEC operation. Comparative studies involving the EOF within such sol-gel ODS coated and uncoated capillaries were performed using acetonitrile and methanol as the organic modifiers in the mobile phase. The use of a deactivating reagent, phenyldimethylsilane, in the sol-gel solution was evaluated. Efficiency values of over 400,000 theoretical plates per meter were achieved in CEC on a 64 cm x 25 microm i.d. sol-gel ODS open tubular column. Test mixtures of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, benzene derivatives, and aromatic aldehydes and ketones were used to evaluate the CEC performances of both nondeactivated and deactivated open tubular sol-gel columns. The effects of mobile-phase organic modifier contents and pH on EOF in such columns were evaluated. The prepared sol-gel ODS columns are characterized by switchable electroosmotic flow. A pH value of approximately 8.5 was found correspond to the isoelectric point for the prepared sol-gel ODS coatings.  相似文献

The gamma prime precipitation strengthening behavior and oxide dispersion strengthening behavior of mechanically alloyed oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) Ni-base superalloys have been investigated. The most important microstructural feature affecting the elevated temperature strength of ODS alloys was found to be the grain aspect ratio. Grain aspect ratio after zone annealing was sensitively related to the primary grain size in as-extruded Ni-base superalloy. There was a suitable range of primary grain size to obtain a coarse elongated grain structure after zone annealing. The large grain aspect ratio above a critical value of about 20 resulted in an increase in stress-rupture life more than two orders of magnitude at 950°C. The size and distribution of the gamma prime precipitates were dependent on the solution heat treatment conditions. The microstructural parameters on the gamma prime precipitates significantly affected on the stress-rupture property of ODS Ni-base superalloy at the intermediate temperature range.  相似文献

Operating Deflection Shapes (ODS) has emerged as one of the powerful techniques in vibration analysis to understand and to evaluate the absolute dynamic behaviour of a machine, component or an entire structure. Traditionally, accelerometers have been used to get the ODS of a structure. However, recent development shows that certain situation may not allow direct contact with the structure under investigation. Therefore, Scanning Laser Doppler Vibrometer (SLDV) has become popular in the investigation. In this paper, a new ODS Frequency Response Function (ODS FRF) for investigations using SLDV is formulated. The ODS FRF is used to construct the ODS of the structure. A new form of scale factor for the ODS FRF is also introduced to normalize the effects from variable excitation force. The importance of this scale factor is demonstrated on a beam and plate under the excitation of varying forces. It is found that the suggested ODS FRF and the scale factor give the desired result in comparison with theory.  相似文献

A 330-pL chromatographic bed was fabricated on a glass substrate as part of an electroosmotically pumped microfluidic system. Two weirs within a sample channel formed a cavity in which octadecylsilane (ODS) coated silica beads (1.5-4 microns diameter) were trapped. ODS beads were mobilized into and out of the cavity using electroosmotic flow through a bead-introduction channel which accessed the cavity. This procedure allowed the beads in the cavity to be repeatedly exchanged. A 1 nM solution of a nonpolar analyte (BODIPY 493/503) in buffer was loaded onto the beads for different lengths of time using an electroosmotic flow of 1.2 nL/s. The material retained on the ODS phase was then eluted by electroosmotic flow of acetonitrile with a concentration enhancement of up to 500 times. Capillary electrochromatography was conducted using a similar device. BODIPY and fluorescein were loaded onto a 200-micron-long chromatographic bed and then separated in an isocratic CEC run with an acetonitrile/buffer mobile phase. Complete separation was achieved in less than 20 s with a 2-micron plate height.  相似文献

Abstract

Gas atomised IN625 powder was mechanically alloyed with <1·0 Wt.% nano-yttria and consolidated by spark plasma sintering (SPS) to produce an oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) alloy. The isothermal oxidation rate constant of the ODS alloy, and wrought IN625, was determined by thermogravimetric analysis. This was performed at 900 °C in static laboratory air for exposure times of up to 1000 h. It was found that the ODS alloy oxidised ~40x slower than wrought IN625, which is attributed to the reactive element effect. It is further proposed that the improvement in oxidation resistance of the ODS alloy, and the superior morphology of the oxide scale formed on the ODS alloy, may be related to the presence of Nb carbide, rather than δ-phase, in the ODS alloy.  相似文献

研究了球磨时间对Y2O3氧化物弥散强化(ODS)镍基高温合金机械合金化和拉伸性能的影响.镍基高温合金采用机械合金化和热压烧结方法制备.镍基ODS高温合金粉末是在行星式球磨机上进行球磨.采用扫描电镜及X射线衍射分析了球磨时间对镍基ODS合金粉末形貌和物相的影响.研究结果表明,Y2O3氧化物弥散强化镍基高温合金机械合金化粉末尺寸随研磨时间的增加先增大后减小,8h粉末颗粒尺寸达到最大,之后粉末颗粒尺寸逐渐减小,28h后,镍基ODS合金粉末尺寸稳定且均匀.拉伸结果表明,采用研磨28h的合金粉末制备的镍基ODS合金具有最高的抗拉强度(1300MPa).  相似文献

为研究某城际车工作状态下模态贡献问题,首先用激振器对该城际车进行了静态台架实验,利用LMS. Test. Lab软件识别其模态参数。然后对该城际列车进行线路实验,测试其不同速度级下的加速度振动响应。根据ODS FRF概念,给出了城际车在ODS FRF包络曲线峰值处的工作变形。最后根据模态叠加原理,得出不同速度级下,该城际车不同频率下工作变形主要由车体沉浮、车体点头及车体1阶垂弯贡献的结论。同时结果显示,不同速度级下,同一频率下工作变形可能由不同固有模态贡献;不同速度级下,同一工作变形频率可能会发生偏移。  相似文献
