混成系统是一类复杂系统,线性混成系统作为其重要子类,在形式方法中,人们通常使用线性混成自动机来对它建模.虽然线性混成自动机的模型检验问题总的来说还是不可判定的,但对于其中的正环闭合自动机.其对于线性时段性质的满足性能够通过线性规划方法加以检验.为了实现自动检验正环闭合自动机对线性时段性质的满足性,设计并实现了工具LDPChecker.工具LDPChecker能够识别正环闭合自动机并对其进行相应的检验,其主要特色在于它能够对实时和混成系统检验包含可达性在内的许多实时性质,并且能够自动给出诊断信息.  相似文献

Automata have proved to be a useful tool in infinite-state model checking, since they can represent infinite sets of integers and reals. However, analogous to the use of binary decision diagrams (bdds) to represent finite sets, the sizes of the automata are an obstacle in the automata-based set representation. In this article, we generalize the notion of “don’t cares” for bdds to word languages as a means to reduce the automata sizes. We show that the minimal weak deterministic Büchi automaton (wdba) with respect to a given don’t care set, under certain restrictions, is uniquely determined and can be efficiently constructed. We apply don’t cares to improve the efficiency of a decision procedure for the first-order logic over the mixed linear arithmetic over the integers and the reals based on wdbas.  相似文献

This paper concerns hybrid systems subject to discrete-event supervisory control. It investigates the discrete reachability, where the hybrid system should be moved from a discrete initial state z init into a given discrete goal state z goal by a sequence of discrete inputs. The reachability analysis is carried out in three steps. First, a discrete-event model of the hybrid system is set up. Stochastic automata are used to describe all state sequences which may be generated by the hybrid system. Such a model is called complete. Second, methods for the reachability analysis of stochastic automata are elaborated which concern a weak and a strong condition for reachability. Third, these methods are applied to the hybrid system. It is shown that the reachability of the automaton implies the discrete reachability of the hybrid system, because the model is complete. Therefore, the weak and the strong condition for reachability of the stochastic automaton yield a necessary and a sufficient condition for discrete reachability of the hybrid system.  相似文献

Alternating tree automata and AND/OR graphs provide elegant formalisms that enable branching- time logics to be verified in linear time. The seminal work of Kupferman et al. [Orna Kupferman, Moshe Y. Vardi, and Pierre Wolper. An automata-theoretic approach to branching-time model checking. J. ACM, 47(2):312–360, 2000] showed that 1) branching-time model checking is reducible to the language non-emptiness checking of the product of two alternating automata representing the model and property under verification, and 2) the non-emptiness problem can be solved by performing a search on an AND/OR graph representing this product. Their algorithm, however, can only be implemented in an explicit-state model checker because it needs stacks to detect accept and reject runs. In this paper, we propose a BDD-based approach to check the language non-emptiness of the product automaton. We use a technique called “state recording” from Schuppan and Biere [Viktor Schuppan and Armin Biere. Efficient reduction of finite state model checking to reachability analysis. Int. Journal on Software Tools for Technology Transfer (STTT), 5(2–3):185–204, 2004] to emulate the stack mechanism from explicit-state model checking. This technique allows us to transform the product automaton into a well-defined AND/OR graph. We develop a BDD-based reachability algorithm to efficiently determine whether a solution graph for the AND/OR graph exists and thereby solve the model-checking problem. While “state recording” increases the size of the state space, the advantage of our approach lies in the memory saving BDDs can offer and the potential it opens up for optimisation of the reachability analysis. 提出使用事件自动机对 C 程序的安全属性进行规约,并给出了基于有界模型检测的形式化验证方法。事件自动机可以规约程序中基于事件的安全属性,且可以描述无限状态的安全属性。事件自动机将属性规约与C程序本身隔离,不会改变程序的结构。在事件自动机的基础上,提出了自动机可达树的概念。结合自动机可达树和有界模型检测技术,给出将事件自动机和C程序转化为可满足性模理论SMT(satisfiability modulo theory)模型的算法。最后,使用SMT求解器对生成的SMT模型求解,并根据求解结果给出反例路径分析算法。实例分析和实验结果表明,该方法可以有效验证软件系统中针对事件的属性规约。  相似文献

In this work we study hybrid approaches to LTL symbolic model checking; that is, approaches that use explicit representations of the property automaton, whose state space is often quite manageable, and symbolic representations of the system, whose state space is typically exceedingly large. We compare the effects of using, respectively, (i) a purely symbolic representation of the property automaton, (ii) a symbolic representation, using logarithmic encoding, of explicitly compiled property automaton, and (iii) a partitioning of the symbolic state space according to an explicitly compiled property automaton. We apply this comparison to three model-checking algorithms: the doubly-nested fixpoint algorithm of Emerson and Lei, the reduction of emptiness to reachability of Biere et al., and the singly-nested fixpoint algorithm of Bloem et al. for weak automata. The emerging picture from our study is quite clear, hybrid approaches outperform pure symbolic model checking, while partitioning generally performs better than logarithmic encoding. The conclusion is that the hybrid approaches benefit from state-of-the-art techniques in semantic compilation of LTL properties. Partitioning gains further from the fact that the image computation is applied to smaller sets of states.  相似文献

自动机的重置序列也称为同步序列,具有以下特性:有限自动机通过运行重置序列w,可从任意一个未知的或无法观测到的状态q0到达某个特定状态qw.这仅依赖于w,而与开始运行w时的状态q0无关.这一特性可用于部分可观察的复杂系统的自动恢复,而无需重启,甚至有时不能重启.基于此,重置问题自出现以来便得到关注和持续研究.最近几年,它被扩展到可以描述诸如分布式、嵌入式实时系统等复杂系统的无限状态模型上,比如时间自动机和寄存器自动机等.以时间自动机的重置问题的计算复杂性为研究对象,发现重置问题与可达性问题有着紧密的联系.主要贡献是:(1)利用时间自动机可达性问题的最新成果,完善完全的确定的时间自动机重置问题的计算复杂性结论;(2)对部分规约的确定的时间自动机,研究得出,即使在输入字母表大小减至2的情况下,其复杂性仍是PSPACE-完全的;特别地,在单时钟情况下是NLOGSPACE-完全的;(3)对完全的非确定的时间自动机,研究得出其Di-可重置问题(i=1,2,3)是不可判定的,其重置问题与非确定的寄存器自动机重置问题在指数时间可以相互归约,通过证明指数时间归约相对高复杂性类具有封闭性,利用非确定的寄存器自动机的结论得出单时钟的时间自动机的重置问题是Ackermann-完全的、限界的重置问题是NEXPTIME-完全的.这些复杂性结论,说明关于时间自动机的重置问题大都是难解的,一方面,为时间系统的可重置性的检测和求解奠定坚实的理论基础,另一方面,为以后寻找具有高效算法的特殊结构的时间系统(即具有高效算法的问题子类)给予理论指导.  相似文献

Given a timed automaton M, a linear temporal logic formula φ, and a bound k, bounded model checking for timed automata determines if there is a falsifying path of length k to the hypothesis that M satisfies the specification φ. This problem can be reduced to the satisfiability problem for Boolean constraint formulas over linear arithmetic constraints. We show that bounded model checking for timed automata is complete, and we give lower and upper bounds for the length k of counterexamples. Moreover, we define bounded model checking for networks of timed automata in a compositional way.  相似文献

Hybrid automata are a widely used framework to model complex critical systems, where continuous physical dynamics are combined with discrete transitions. The expressive power of Satisfiability Modulo Theories (SMT) solvers can be used to symbolically model networks of hybrid automata, using formulas in the theory of reals, and SAT-based verification algorithms, such as bounded model checking and k-induction, can be naturally lifted to the SMT case. In this paper, we tackle the important problem of scenario-based verification, i.e. checking if a network of hybrid automata accepts some desired interactions among the components, expressed as Message Sequence Charts (MSCs). We propose a novel approach, that exploits the structure of the scenario to partition and drive the search, both for bounded model checking and k-induction. We also show how to obtain information explaining the reasons for infeasibility in the case of invalid scenarios. The expressive power of the SMT framework allows us to exploit a local time semantics, where the timescales of the automata in the network are synchronized upon shared events. The approach fully leverages the advanced features of modern SMT solvers, such as incrementality, unsatisfiable core extraction, and interpolation. An experimental evaluation demonstrates the effectiveness of the approach in proving both feasibility and unfeasibility, and the adequacy of the automatically generated explanations.  相似文献

Timed automata are an important model for specifying and analyzing real-time systems. The main analysis performed on timed automata is the reachability analysis. In this paper we show that the standard approach for performing reachability analysis is not correct when the clocks drift even by a very small amount. Our formulation of the reachability problem for timed automata is as follows: we define the set R *(T,Z 0)=>0 Reach(T, Z 0 where T is obtained from timed automaton T by allowing an drift in the clocks. R *(T,Z 0) is the set of states which can be reached in the timed automatonT from the initial states in Z0 when the clocks drift by an infinitesimally small amount. We present an algorithm for computing R *(T,Z 0)and provide a proof of its correctness. We show that R *(T,Z 0)is robust with respect to various types of modeling errors. To prove the correctness of our algorithm, we need to understand the dynamics of timed automata—in particular, the structure of the limit cycles of timed automata.  相似文献

In previous work we have developed a syntactic reduction of repeated reachability to reachability for finite state systems. This may lead to simpler and more uniform proofs for model checking of liveness properties, help to find shortest counterexamples, and overcome limitations of closed-source model-checking tools. In this paper we show that a similar reduction can be applied to a number of infinite state systems, namely, (ω−)regular model checking, push-down systems, and timed automata.  相似文献

The existing techniques for reachability analysis of linear hybrid automata do not scale well to problem sizes of practical interest. Instead of developing a tool to perform reachability check on all the paths of a linear hybrid automaton, a complementary approach is to develop an efficient path-oriented tool to check one path at a time where the length of the path being checked can be made very large and the size of the automaton can be made large enough to handle problems of practical interest. This approach of symbolic execution of paths can be used by design engineers to check important paths and thereby, increase the faith in the correctness of the system. Unlike simple testing, each path in our framework represents a dense set of possible trajectories of the system being analyzed. In this paper, we develop the linear programming based techniques towards an efficient path-oriented tool for the bounded reachability analysis of linear hybrid systems.  相似文献

The reachability problem for timed automata is decidable when the coefficients in the guards are rational numbers. We show that the reachability problem is undecidable when the coefficients are chosen from the set . A consequence of this is that the parameter synthesis problem for timed automata with even a single parameter is undecidable. We discuss why such undecidability results arise in timed and hybrid systems, what they mean, and if it is possible to get around them.  相似文献

为了缓解状态空间爆炸问题,减小模型检测过程中生成的状态空间,加快模型检测速度,引入有限精度时间自动机(finite precision timed automata,简称FPTA)作为实时系统的形式模型,并提出了一种数据结构SDS(series of delay sequence)符号化表示状态空间中的状态集.FPTA只记录时钟变量的整数值及时钟变化的先后次序,从而减小生成的状态空间.在一定的时间约束下,Alur与Dill提出的时间自动机的可达性检测可简化为FPTA的可达性检测.举例描述了状态空间的生成过程和表示方法.最后,列出部分初步的实验结果,分析了SDS的特点及不足.  相似文献

We present a verification algorithm for duration properties of real-time systems. While simple real-time properties constrain the total elapsed time between events, duration properties constrain the accumulated satisfaction time of state predicates. We formalize the concept of durations by introducing duration measures for timed automata. A duration measure assigns to each finite run of a timed automaton a real number —the duration of the run— which may be the accumulated satisfaction time of a state predicate along the run. Given a timed automaton with a duration measure, an initial and a final state, and an arithmetic constraint, the duration-bounded reachability problem asks if there is a run of the automaton from the initial state to the final state such that the duration of the run satisfies the constraint. Our main result is an (optimal) PSPACE decision procedure for the duration-bounded reachability problem.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of checking a timed automaton for a Duration Calculus formula of the form Temporal Duration Property is addressed. It is shown that Temporal Duration Properties are in the class of discretisable real-time properties of Timed Automata, and an algorithm is given to solve the problem based on linear programming techniques and the depth-first search method in the integral region graph of the automaton. The complexity of the algorithm is in the same class as that of the solution of the reachability problem of timed automata.  相似文献

Different time scales do often occur in real-time systems, e.g., a polling real-time system samples the environment many times per second, whereas the environment may only change a few times per second. When these systems are modeled as (networks of) timed automata, the validation using symbolic model checking techniques can significantly be slowed down by unnecessary fragmentation of the symbolic state space. This paper introduces a syntactical adjustment to a subset of timed automata that addresses this fragmentation problem and that can speed-up forward symbolic reachability analysis in a significant way. We prove that this syntactical adjustment does not alter reachability properties and that it indeed is effective. We illustrate our exact acceleration technique with run-time data obtained with the model checkers Uppaal and Kronos. Moreover, we demonstrate that automated application of our exact acceleration technique can significantly speed-up the verification of the run-time behavior of LEGO Mindstorms programs.  相似文献

Many natural systems exhibit a hybrid behavior characterized by a set of continuous laws which are switched by discrete events. Such behaviors can be described in a very natural way by a class of automata called hybrid automata. Their evolution are represented by both dynamical systems on dense domains and discrete transitions. Once a real system is modeled in a such framework, one may want to analyze it by applying automatic techniques, such as Model Checking or Abstract Interpretation. Unfortunately, the discrete/continuous evolutions not only provide hybrid automata of great flexibility, but they are also at the root of many undecidability phenomena. This paper addresses issues regarding the decidability of the reachability problem for hybrid automata (i.e., “can the system reach a state a from a state b?”) by proposing an “inaccurate” semantics. In particular, after observing that dense sets are often abstractions of real world domains, we suggest, especially in the context of biological simulation, to avoid the ability of distinguishing between values whose distance is less than a fixed ε. On the ground of the above considerations, we propose a new semantics for first-order formulæ which guarantees the decidability of reachability. We conclude providing a paradigmatic biological example showing that the new semantics mimics the real world behavior better than the precise one.  相似文献
