This article shows the possibility in principle to design stripline comb filters with alternating signs of the coupling coefficients. The new feature of the stepped-impedance resonators of the quarterwave type was established. They provide the opposite sings of the electromagnetic coupling with adjacent resonators. Such resonators are asymmetric relative to the vertical axes, which is drawn through their middle part. The stripline passband filters with alternating signs of coupling coefficients have attenuation poles that are located to the left and to the right of the passband. Those poles improve the selectivity of such filters. The articles provide the measured characteristics of the stripline comb filter of the forth order with alternating coupling, which has the central frequency of f 0 = 1835 MHz and the passband width of 90 MHz. The filter is constructed using a dielectric material with relative permittivity of εr = 92 and has the dimensions of 7.4×4.2×2 mm.  相似文献

This paper presents a trigonometrical approach to design a simple second order wideband compensator of a comb decimation filter. The method is based on the similarity of the inverse passband comb characteristic and the squared sine function. The design parameter B, which is the amplitude of the squared sine function, depends only on the number K of the cascaded comb filters. Considering that the parameter B can be expressed in terms of only addition and shift operations, we may obtain a multiplierless filter. The proposed filter performs wideband compensation efficiently using a maximum of four additions/subtractions, and for a given K, can be applied to any value of the decimation factor M.  相似文献

Comb filters with tunable passband characteristics have been achieved using a muItitap surface-wave delay line with electronic phase-shifting circuits in the feedback loop. The results are obtained either by summing the acoustic signals on the substrate or by using electronic summers. Q's ranging from 500 to 50 000 have been measured for the surface-wave comb filters.  相似文献

This article considers the design of thin stripline (1 mm) bandpass filters in the centimeter band, which contain dielectrics with different relative permittivity ε r . This includes the choice of the resonators, the dielectric material, the preliminary assessment of resonators’ unloaded quality factors and taking into account the features of the frequency response curve of the filter. It was found, that the passband width of the thin comb filters with λ/4 resonators and array-type filters with λ/2 resonators cannot exceed 6% for any values of ε r and the length of resonators of at least 2 mm. The array-type filters with resonators of half-wave type and with alternating signs of the coupling factors between resonators were proposed. Under certain additional conditions, the attenuation poles appear in such filters, resulting in improved selectivity. The results of computer modelling of the frequency response curve of thin filters of cm band are presented. They are compared to the frequency response of other filters. The data obtained from computer modelling showed good correspondence with the experimental data.  相似文献

This paper addresses the design of generalized comb decimation filters, proposing some novel decimation schemes tailored to SigmaDelta modulators. We present a mathematical framework to optimize the proposed decimation filters in such a way as to increase the SigmaDelta quantization noise (QN) rejection around the so called folding bands, frequency intervals whose QN gets folded down to baseband because of the decimation process. Comparisons are given in terms of passband drop and selectivity with respect to classic comb filters with orders ranging from 3 to 6. As far as the practical implementation of the proposed filters is concerned, we present two different architectures, namely a recursive and a nonrecursive implementation, the latter of which constitutes the basis for realizing multiplier-less generalized comb filter (GCF) realizations. We propose a mathematical framework for evaluating the sensitivity of GCFs to the approximation of the multipliers embedded in the filter architectures. The considerations deduced from the sensitivity analysis, pave the way to an optimization algorithm useful for approximating the multipliers with power-of-2 coefficients  相似文献

This paper presents a double‐sharpened decimation filter based on the application of a Kaiser and Hamming sharpening technique for multistandard wireless systems. The proposed double‐sharpened decimation filter uses a pre‐droop compensator which improves the passband response of a conventional cascaded integrator‐comb filter so that it provides an efficient sharpening performance at half‐speed with comparison to conventional sharpened filters. In this paper, the passband droop characteristics with compensation provides –1.6 dB for 1.25 MHz, –1.4 dB for 2.5 MHz, –1.3 dB for 5 MHz, and –1.0 dB for 10 MHz bandwidths, respectively. These results demonstrate that the proposed double‐sharpened decimation filter is suitable for multistandard wireless applications.  相似文献

The design of two 8th order switched capacitor filters for an FFSK modem is described. The response of the filters in the passband is not made flat, in order to optimize the signal to noise ratio of the transmission channel. The design of passive prototypes and the criteria for the choice of the best passive and active topologies are described. Computer simulation results of the performances of the SC filters are given.  相似文献

Mixed coefficients of coupling between the closely spaced stepped-impedance resonators in comb filters of stripline design have been investigated. Transmission zeros at frequencies f zi correspond to mixed coupling coefficients k i . These zeros can be moved with respect to the filter passband central frequency f0 by modifying the shape of resonators. It was proved that the reduction of gap between resonators made it possible to locate frequencies f z and f0 closer to one another. The existing restrictions on the minimal value of gap between resonators limit the degree of proximity between f z and f0. The N-resonator stripline comb filters with mixed coupling can have N?1 transmission zeros. The absence of cross-coupling links in stripline filters simplifies their construction. It has been established that the thickness of central conductors of stripline resonators affects the positive and negative mixed coupling coefficients. The paper presents measurement data of miniature stripline three-resonator comb filter having an enhanced selectivity at the expense of two transmission zeros. The central frequency of filter is f0 = 1850 MHz, the bandwidth BW = 100 MHz. The filter having dimensions 5.8×4.2×2 mm was implemented by connecting two ceramic substrates having relative dielectric permittivity ε r = 92 and the metallized patterns deposited on them.  相似文献

A simple two-stage multiplierless cascaded-integrator-comb (CIC)-based decimator is presented. The first stage is a cascaded CIC filter whereas the second stage is a cascaded CIC filter and a second-order multiplierless compensator. The proposed decimator can be realised without filtering at high input rate by making use of the polyphase decomposition of the comb filter in the first stage. The proposed filter exhibits high aliasing attenuation and a low passband droop. The design parameters are the decimation factors, M 1 and M 2, numbers of cascaded CIC filters L and K, and parameter b of the compensator.  相似文献

New designs of planar three-resonator bandpass filters with cross coupling having a large variety of frequency characteristics are considered. In addition to better one-sided selectivity, such filters implement symmetric amplitude–frequency characteristics with an attenuation pole at each side of the passband. These filters can also have constant delay time in the passband. Concatenation of the proposed three-resonator filters leads to multiresonator filters with high selectivity determined by two attenuation poles at each side of the passband. It is found that the type of connection of the middle resonator in the circuit of a three-resonator filter with cross coupling results in substantial differences in amplitude–frequency characteristics. The results of modeling of different frequency characteristics are presented. It is shown that filters have small dimensions, which are comparable to overall dimensions of microwave ceramic filters. For example, dimensions of a three-resonator stripline filter designed for a frequency of 1.9 GHz are 9.4 × 5 × 2 mm for the permittivity of the filter material εr = 92 and dimensions of a six-resonator filter are 10 × 9.4 × 2 mm.  相似文献

Finite ground plane coplanar waveguide edge-coupled bandpass filters which have no parasitic passband and low insertion loss are demonstrated. Two 5-section filters centred at 10 GHz with a 15% bandwidth with identical design parameters but different ground plane widths; are fabricated on alumina substrate; the measured passband insertion loss is <1.5 dB. The filter with wider ground planes has higher attenuation in its stopbands  相似文献

A distributed network prototype is presented that enables the design of a new class of reconfigurable bandpass filters. The design procedure is based on the application of a classical synthesis technique. The passband of the filters are reconfigured by simply open or short circuiting the ends of its resonators. The filters exhibit constant bandwidth and passband shape as they are reconfigured. The performance of implemented filters agrees with the presented theory.  相似文献

The possibility to use thin (1 mm or less) pseudocombline structures of λ/2 resonators made of sections of symmetric transmission strip lines from a dielectric material with ε r = 2.2 as millimeter-wave bandpass filters is shown. It is established that the relative bandwidth of such filters can reach FBW = 0.1. Designs of stripline pseudocombline filters with alternating signs of the coupling coefficients, which are characterized by improved selectivity due to the attenuation poles located on both sides of the passband, are proposed; the filters contain stepped-impedance “half-wave” resonators with a new feature. The results of the computer simulation of the frequency characteristics of the filters in the frequency band of 31–122 GHz and the comparison of them with the characteristics of other filters are presented.  相似文献

This paper presents a new direct design of infinite-impulse response (IIR) filters with a flat magnitude response in both passband and stopband (Butterworth filters). The design specifications are passband and stopband frequencies and passband droop and stopband attenuation. The approach is based on an allpass filter with flatness at frequency points /spl omega/=0 and /spl omega/=/spl pi/. Depending on the parity of the IIR filter order, the allpass filter is either real or complex. However, in both cases, the resulting IIR filter is real.  相似文献

Two dimensional space–time fan filters may be used for the highly-selective enhancement of spatio-temporal plane-waves on the basis of their directions of arrival. Unlike uniform bandwidth beam filters, ideal fan filters transmit passband signals over a range of directions of arrival that is independent of their 1D temporal spectrum. In this work, closed-form 2D wave-digital filter design equations and corresponding hardware architectures are proposed for realizing M independent fan-shaped passbands having independently steerable directionality and selectivity. A design method based on LCR ladder networks is proposed and implemented using a 2D time-multiplexed raster-scanned architecture that is suitable for low frequency applications such as audio, multimedia, seismic and ultrasonic beamforming. The architectures are designed, simulated, physically realized and tested on FPGA-based prototypes. Examples of 2D IIR M-fan filterbanks with FPGA implementations, together with measured results from on-chip hardware verifications, show the successful design and hardware realization. The filterbanks and hardware architectures are shown to be suitable for real-time sensor-array beamforming applications using custom VLSI circuits.  相似文献

A simple and effective method for microstrip dual-band filters design   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A new type of novel low loss dual-band microstrip filters using folded open-loop ring resonators (OLRRs) is presented in this letter. Both magnetic and electric coupling structures are implemented to provide high performance passband response. The first passband and second passband of the designed dual-band filter can be easily and accurately shifted to a desired frequency band by adjusting the physical dimensions of OLRRs. Finally, the 2.4-GHz/5.7-GHz and 2.4-GHz/5.2-GHz dual-band filters are illustrated and measured in this letter.  相似文献

A novel Π-shaped resonator is proposed, and compact dual-band and tri-band bandpass filters that meet IEEE 802.11 application requirements by using the new resonator are designed. The dual-band bandpass filter centres at 2.45 and 5.6 GHz with a simulated passband insertion loss of no more than 0.8 dB, and the tri-band bandpass filter which is got by two-path coupling achieves simulated passband insertion loss of no more than 1.1 dB. The new designs are demonstrated by experiment. The new filters have advantages of simple and compact structures, low passband insertion losses, good frequency selectivity and miniature circuit sizes. All these have prospect to be applied in future wireless communication systems.  相似文献

Substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) can be used to implement high Q waveguide components with the same easy and low-cost fabrication process as planar circuits. In this paper two inline three-pole dual-mode filters with asymmetric transmission response based on SIW are presented. These two filters, consisting of a TE102-TE301 dual-mode SIW cavity and a TE101 mode SIW cavity, are centred at around 10?GHz with a transmission zero on the left of the passband and the right of the passband, respectively. Based on the two kinds of three-pole deal-mode filters, a diplexer with isolation better than 35?dB is developed. A linear microstrip taper is used to implement the transition between microstrip and SIW. The measured results agree with simulated results.  相似文献
