当前,中小学教师自己制作的多媒体课件虽然数量很多,但是大多数质量不高;特别是课件中的交互形式较少、设计得不够科学合理。文章阐述了多媒体课件交互性设计的相关理论,并在理论指导下制作了一个互动式多媒体课件,通过实例阐述了教学内容、学习情境、交互控制和教学媒体的整合与实现。  相似文献

Advances in multimedia computing technologies offer new approaches to the support of computer-assisted education and training within many application domains. Novel interactive presentation tools can be built to enhance traditional teaching methods with more active learning. Since a variety of user expectations are possible in such an environment, research must address the incorporation of these factors into presentation tools. During an interactive learning/training process, presentation tools must be able to handle various types of delays. A flexibly adjustable quality of service (QoS) should thus be supported. In this paper, we investigate a framework and systematic strategies for supporting the continuous and synchronized retrieval and presentation of multimedia data streams in a client/server distributed multimedia environment for educational digital libraries. Specifically, we establish a practical framework for specifying multimedia objects, tasks, schedules, and synchronization constraints between media streams. We identify the QoS parameters critical to the support of multimedia presentations for learning and training activities. Based on the proposed framework and QoS specifications, we develop presentation scheduling and buffer management strategies which can enforce the specified QoS requirements in an educational digital library environment.  相似文献

A multimedia presentation is a synchronized, and possibly interactive, delivery of multimedia data to users. We expect that, in the future, multimedia presentations will be stored into and queried from multimedia databases. In an earlier work, we have designed a graphical query language, called GVISUAL, that allows users to query multimedia presentations based on content information. In this paper, we discuss GVISUAL query processing techniques for multimedia presentations. More specifically, we discuss the translation of GVISUAL queries into an operator-based language, called O-Algebra, with three new operators, and efficient implementations of the new O-Algebra operators using a coding system called nodecodes.  相似文献

The next generation of interactive multimedia documents can contain both static media, e.g., text, graph, image, and continuous media, e.g., audio and video, and can provide user interactions in distributed environments. However, the temporal information of multimedia documents cannot be described using traditional document structures, e.g., Open Document Architecture (ODA) and Standard Generalized Mark-up Language (SGML); the continuous transmission of media units also raises some new synchronization problems, which have not been met before, for processing user interactions. Thus, developing a distributed interactive multimedia document system should resolve the issues of document model, presentation control architecture, and control scheme. In this paper, we (i) propose a new multimedia document model that contains the logical structure, the layout structure, and the temporal structure to formally describe multimedia documents, and (ii) point out main interaction-based synchronization problems, and propose a control architecture and a token-based control scheme to solve these interaction-based synchronization problems. Based on the proposed document model, control architecture, and control scheme, a distributed interactive multimedia document development mechanism, which is called MING-I, is developed on SUN workstations.  相似文献

多对象多媒体应用允许多路媒体同时呈现,其同步控制比较复杂,可分为传输过程中与呈现过程中的同步。然而现有的同步方法忽略了媒体在最后呈现过程中的同步,也没有考虑各媒体对象之间的同步要求差异。针对以上问题,为视频点播提出了一种在应用层上控制多对象多媒体同步呈现质量的方法。在采用多级缓冲门限实现媒体内同步反馈控制的基础上,依据主要媒体对象的呈现时间戳,在每一个呈现场景内调整次要媒体对象的呈现速率,从而实现媒体间的同步呈现。实验结果表明该方案能够有效地提高同步质量,且媒体间的同步性能平均提高28.45%。  相似文献

Without user interactions, multimedia presentations are just fancy slide shows with sound and video supports. User interactions by themselves do not change the temporal relationships among multimedia objects, such as texts, graphics, images, audio, and video, but affect the playback schedules. In this paper, we propose a synchronization mechanism to guarantee the quality of multimedia presentation with user interactions. In our protocol, each presentation site requests media transmission from the required media servers at certain time intervals prior to the playback deadlines, where these time intervals are the response times to cover possible experienced end-to-end delays and packet losses, and waits for an initial setup time to ensure intermedia synchronization before starting the presentation. Users may interact with the presentation. This synchronization mechanism solves the problems incurred by user interactions by determining the new presentation scenario produced by the interactive operation, calculating the corresponding setup time, and then rendering the new playback and retrieval schedules.  相似文献

The content-based cross-media retrieval is a new type of multimedia retrieval in which the media types of query examples and the returned results can be different. In order to learn the semantic correlations among multimedia objects of different modalities, the heterogeneous multimedia objects are analyzed in the form of multimedia document (MMD), which is a set of multimedia objects that are of different media types but carry the same semantics. We first construct an MMD semi-semantic graph (MMDSSG) by jointly analyzing the heterogeneous multimedia data. After that, cross-media indexing space (CMIS) is constructed. For each query, the optimal dimension of CMIS is automatically determined and the cross-media retrieval is performed on a per-query basis. By doing this, the most appropriate retrieval approach for each query is selected, i.e. different search methods are used for different queries. The query dependent search methods make cross-media retrieval performance not only accurate but also stable. We also propose different learning methods of relevance feedback (RF) to improve the performance. Experiment is encouraging and validates the proposed methods.  相似文献
