应用映射是MPSoC设计中的关键问题,针对多应用负载的MPSoC,提出一种访存与用户行为敏感的动态映射策略,该策略根据应用的数据访问特征区分热点与非热点应用,并对用户行为进行建模,根据用户行为模型,进一步在运行时区分关键与非关键应用.对每个进入系统的应用,按照应用的热点及关键性分类动态选择在线映射算法,让热点应用围绕存储器布局,非热点应用尽量避免占用存储器附近的资源;对关键应用,最小化应用内通信开销和链路竞争,对非关键应用,最小化应用间通信开销和链路竞争.实验表明,与单纯考虑访存或用户行为的映射策略相比,本文策略能够降低系统整体的通信能耗. 相似文献

The growing popularity of mobile technologies and applications, lead many companies to develop relations with consumers through mobile applications. Therefore, it is important to understand how to design applications based on consumer preferences. This research seeks to understand which features of mobile applications stimulate consumer engagement and lead to continuous use of mobile applications. This study used an online questionnaire to collect data from 246 respondents. The data was analyzed making use of Structural Equations Modeling (SEM). The results indicate that perception of such features as design solutions and information quality will result in higher engagement leading to continuous usage of mobile applications. Moreover, consumer engagement positively influenced users’ intention to continuous usage of mobile applications. Inconsistent with expectation, consumer interaction and functionality features are not found to be positively related to consumer engagement with mobile applications. 相似文献

The rapid growth in the mobile application market presents a significant challenge to find interesting and relevant applications for users. An experimental study was conducted through the use of a specifically designed mobile application, on users’ mobile phones. The goals were; first, to learn about the users’ personality and the applications they downloaded to their mobile phones, second to recommend applications to users via notifications through the use of experimental mobile application and learn about user behavior in mobile environment. The question of how the personality features of users affect their compliance to recommendations is explored in this study. It is found that conscientiousness is positively related with accepting recommended applications and being agreeable is related with the preference for the applications of editor’s choice. Furthermore, in this study, applications owned by the user and the composition of applications under categories and their relation with personality features are explored. It is shown that the number of user owned applications and their category differ according to gender and personality. Having similar applications and the number of applications owned under specific categories increase the probability of accepting recommended applications. 相似文献

Based on Bump-In-the-API (BIA) architecture, this letter proposes a Socket-layer Translator called NCTU SLT that translates IPv4 applications to IPv4/IPv6-capable applications on dual-stack hosts. Like previously proposed approaches, NCTU SLT can translate NAT-friendly applications (e.g., HTTP and TELNET) without modifying the source codes of the IPv4 applications. In grid computing, a key issue is how limited network resources can be shared by communications by various applications more
effectively in order to improve application-level performance, e.g., by reducing the completion time for an individual application
and/or set of applications. Communication by an application changes the condition of the network resources, which may, in
turn, affect communications by other applications, and thus may degrade their performance. In this paper, we examine the characteristics
of traffic generated by typical grid applications, and the effect of the round-trip time and bottleneck bandwidth on the application-level
performance (i.e., completion time) of these applications. Our experiments showed that the impact of network conditions on
the performance of various applications and the impact of application traffic on network conditions differed considerably
depending on the application. These results suggest that effective allocation of network resources must take into account

US Bank's experience with a number of applications supported by Northern Telecom's DMS-100 integrated services digital network (ISDN) is discussed. Mobile applications, which include calendars, browsers, and interactive maps, are part of our lives nowadays. Most mobile applications are single user; and they do not enable synchronous collaboration among the users. Mobile collaboration enables multiple users in diverse locations to combine synergistically their contributions in a convenient manner. We investigate the potential to create collaborative applications based on existing single user mobile applications. In this work, we propose an adaptation technique based on the reuse of manufacturers’ SDKs (Software Development Kits) to create multi-user prototype applications. In general, adaptation is made manually; nonetheless, we conjecture that some automation is possible. This paper investigates this possibility. More specifically, we hypothesize that if the target SDK’s components of mobile applications comply with certain design guidelines, automatic adaption can be enhanced. We present a reference model and an automatic process to develop high-fidelity prototype multi-user mobile applications by the conversion of multi-touch user interface found on single-user applications. We discuss two examples that illustrate our proposal and provide a quantitative Lines of Code (LOC) comparison of existing approaches. 相似文献

Advances in e-commerce have resulted in significant progress towards strategies, requirements, and development of e-commerce applications. However, nearly all e-commerce applications envisioned and developed so far assume fixed or stationary users with wired infrastructure. We envision many new e-commerce applications that will be possible and significantly benefit from emerging wireless and mobile networks. To allow designers, developers, and researchers to strategize and create mobile commerce applications, we propose a four-level integrated framework for mobile commerce. Since there are potentially an unlimited number of mobile commerce applications, we attempt to identify several important classes of applications such as mobile financial applications, mobile inventory management, proactive service management, product location and search, and wireless re-engineering. We discuss how to successfully define, architect, and implement the necessary hardware/software infrastructure in support of mobile commerce. Also, to make mobile commerce applications a reality, we address networking requirements, discuss support from wireless carriers, and present some open research problems. 相似文献

Most current computer applications are insensitive to changing network conditions. With the growing demand for wireless, satellite, and other highly volatile computer communications networks, however, applications that are robust in the presence of network volatility must be designed and built. Network-robust applications are of great interest in military situations today, and we expect that interest to grow in industrial and eventually consumer environments as well. Mobile agents are one way to realize such applications, especially when used in a wireless environment. This article discusses issues and results related to the problem of making computer applications network-aware and reactive to changing network conditions. It contains a short overview of our work on mobile agents as well as a tutorial on network sensing from the agent perspective. The newly emerging wireless body area networks (WBANs) are intended to support both medical applications and consumer electronic (CE) applications. These two types of applications present diverse service requirements. To satisfy both medical and CE applications with a uniform medium access control (MAC) protocol becomes a new challenge for the WBAN. Addressing this problem, a priority-guaranteed MAC protocol is proposed in this paper. In this protocol, data channels are separated from control channels to support collision-free high data rate communication for CE applications. Priority-specific control channels are adopted to provide priority guarantee to life-critical medical applications. Traffic-specific data channels are deployed to improve resource efficiency and latency performance. Moreover, in order to further minimize energy consumption and access latency, an asynchronous wakeup trigger mode is proposed as an enhancement to the priority traffic. Monte Carlo simulations are carried out for performance evaluation. As compared with IEEE 802.15.4 MAC and its improved versions, the priority-guaranteed MAC demonstrates significant improvements on throughput and energy efficiency with a tolerable penalty on latency performance of bursty traffic in CE applications. Therefore, the customized priority-guaranteed MAC satisfies the service requirements of WBAN by making tradeoff among the performances of different applications. 相似文献
