用倍增技术在带有Wormhole路由技术的n×n二维网孔机器上提出了时间复杂度为O(log2n)的连通分量和传递闭包并行算法,并在此基础上提出了一个时间复杂度为O(log3n)的最小生成树并行算法.这些都改进了Store-and-Forward路由技术下的时间复杂度下界O(n).同其他运行在非总线连接分布式存储并行计算机上的算法相比,此连通分量和传递闭包算法的时间复杂度是最优的.  相似文献

利用分治策略,提出一种基于SIMD共享存储计算机模型的并行背包问题求解算法.算法允许使用O(2n/4)1-ε个并行处理机单元,0≤ε≤1,O(2n/2)个存储单元,在O(2n/4(2n/4)ε)时间内求解n维背包问题,算法的成本为O(2n/2).将提出的算法与已有文献结论进行对比表明,该算法改进了已有文献的相应结果,是求解背包问题的成本最优并行算法.同时还指出了相关文献主要结论的错误.  相似文献

分别在两种重要并行计算模型中给出计算有向基因组排列的反转距离新的并行算法.基于Hannenhalli和Pevzner理论,分3个主要部分设计并行算法:构建断点图、计算断点图中圈数、计算断点图中障碍的数目.在CREW-PRAM模型上,算法使用O(n2)处理器,时间复杂度为O(log2n);在基于流水光总线的可重构线性阵列系统(linear array with a reconfigurable pipelined bus system, LARPBS)模型上,算法使用O(n3)处理器,计算时间复杂度为O(logn).  相似文献

将串行动态二表算法应用于并行三表算法的设计中,提出一种求解背包、精确的可满足性和集覆盖等背包类NP完全问题的并行三表六子表算法.基于EREW-PRAM模型,该算法可使用O(2n/8)的处理机在O(27n/16)的时间和O(213n/48)的空间求解n维背包类问题,其时间-空间-处理机折衷为O(25n/6).与现有文献的性能对比分析表明,该算法极大地提高了并行求解背包类问题的时间-空间-处理机折衷性能.由于该算法能够破解更高维数的背包类公钥和数字水印系统,其结论在密钥分析领域具有一定的理论和实际意义.  相似文献

讨论了节点和边都有容量限制的无向平面网络中的两点间的最小截问题.传统方法是把节点和边都有容量的网络中的最小截问题转化为只有边有容量的问题,但该方法用在平面网络时不能保持网络的平面性,因此网络的平面性不能得到利用.使用传统方法的计算时间为O(n2logn)(其中n为网络的节点数).给出了可以充分利用网络平面性的方法.对源和汇共面的s-t平面网络,把最小截问题转化为平面图上两点间的最短路径问题,从而可以得到O(n)时间的算法;对一般的平面网络,给出了新的将节点和边都有容量的问题转化为仅边有容量问题的方法,这种转化方法不破坏网络的平面性,从而可以利用平面网络中仅边有容量问题的计算方法,使原问题在O(nlogn)时间内获得解决.  相似文献

为丰富O(n2)阶排序算法的种类,以更好地服务于教学科研和日常应用,提出了一种新的排序算法-双向选择排序算法.通过数学方法分析得知:该算法的时间复杂度为O(n2),空间复杂度为O(1).通过实验对比得知:在相同条件下,该算法的运行时间平均为冒泡排序的27%、简单选择排序的62%、直接插入排序的88%.  相似文献

基于传统的Borǔ vka串行最小生成树算法,提出了一个在消息传递并行机上的高效的最小生成树算法.并且采用3种方法来提高该算法的效率,即通过两趟合并及打包收缩的方法来减少通信开销,通过平衡数据分布的办法使各个处理器的计算量平衡.该算法的计算和通信复杂度分别为O(n2/p)和O((tsp+twn)n/p).在曙光-1000并行机上运行的实际效果是,对于有10 000个顶点的稀疏图,通过16个节点的运行加速比是12.  相似文献

协调检查点设置及回卷恢复技术作为一种有效的容错手段,已广泛地运用在集群等并行/分布计算机系统中.为了进一步降低协调检查点设置的时间和空间开销,提出了一种基于消息计数的协调检查点设置算法.该算法无须对底层消息通道的FIFO特性进行假设,并使同步阶段引入的控制消息复杂度由通常的O(n2)降低到O(n),有效地提高了系统的效率和扩展性.  相似文献

We present a parallel algorithm for performing boolean set operations on generalized polygons that have holes in them. The intersection algorithm has a processor complexity of O(m2n2) processors and a time complexity of O(max(2log m, log2n)), where m is the maximum number of vertices in any loop of a polygon, and n is the maximum number of loops per polygon. The union and difference algorithms have a processor complexity of O(m2n2) and time complexity of O(log m) and O(2log m, log n) respectively. The algorithm is based on the EREW PRAM model. The algorithm tries to minimize the intersection point computations by intersecting only a subset of loops of the polygons, taking advantage of the topological structure of the two polygons. We believe this will result in better performance on the average as compared to the worst case. Though all the algorithms presented here are deterministic, randomized algorithms such as sample sort can be used for the sorting subcomponent of the algorithms to obtain fast practical implementations.  相似文献

In this paper we describe how to apply fine grain parallelism to augmenting path algorithms for the dense linear assignment problem. We prove by doing that the technique we suggest, can be efficiently implemented on commercial available, massively parallel computers. Using n processors, our method reduces the computational complexity from the sequentialO(n 3) to the parallel complexity ofO(n 2). Exhaustive experiments are performed on a Maspar MP-2 in order to determine which of the algorithmic flavors that fits best onto this kind of architecture.  相似文献

A new parallel algorithm for image component labeling with local operators on SIMD mesh connected computers is presented. This algorithm provides a positive answer to the open question of whether there exists an O(n)-time and O(log n)-space local labeling algorithm on SIMD mesh connected computers. The algorithm uses a pipeline mechanism with stack-like data structures to achieve the lower bound of O(n) in time complexity and O(log n) in space complexity. Additionally, the algorithm has very small multiplicative constants in its complexities by using local parallel-shrink and label-propagate operations.  相似文献

Previous research on developing parallel triangulation algorithms concentrated on triangulating planar point sets.O(log3 n) running time algorithms usingO(n) processors have been developed in Refs. 1 and 2. Atallah and Goodrich(3) presented a data structure that can be viewed as a parallel analogue of the sequential plane-sweeping paradigm, which can be used to triangulate a planar point set inO(logn loglogn) time usingO(n) processors. Recently Merks(4) described an algorithm for triangulating point sets which runs inO(logn) time usingO(n) processors, and is thus optimal. In this paper we develop a parallel algorithm for triangulating simplicial point sets in arbitrary dimensions based on the idea of the sequential algorithm presented in Ref. 5. The algorithm runs inO(log2 n) time usingO(n/logn) processors. The algorithm hasO(n logn) as the product of the running time and the number of processors; i.e., an optimal speed-up.  相似文献

The computational complexity of a parallel algorithm depends critically on the model of computation. We describe a simple and elegant rule-based model of computation in which processors apply rules asynchronously to pairs of objects from a global object space. Application of a rule to a pair of objects results in the creation of a new object if the objects satisfy the guard of the rule. The model can be efficiently implemented as a novel MIMD array processor architecture, the Intersecting Broadcast Machine. For this model of computation, we describe an efficient parallel sorting algorithm based on mergesort. The computational complexity of the sorting algorithm isO(nlog2 n), comparable to that for specialized sorting networks and an improvement on theO(n 1.5) complexity of conventional mesh-connected array processors.  相似文献
