The European Commission's Information Society Technologies (IST) programme created the Diffuse project to provide a single value-added entry point to up-to-date reference and guidance information on available and emerging standards and specifications. This neutral reporting on standards and specifications aims to facilitate the electronic exchange of information. Diffuse supports the IST's Key Action II (New Methods of Work and Electronic Commerce) and Key Action III (Multimedia Content and Tools), which are two of the European Commission's main work areas for its IST programme. While emphasizing the needs of research and technology development communities, the project has a broader perspective of serving the information requirements of the whole of industry, and of the public sector in general. Diffuse builds on the accomplishments of the European Commission's Open Information Interchange initiative, which concluded in December 1999. The Finnish Information Technology Development Centre (TIEKE) leads the project. The other partners, IC Focus (electronic commerce specialists) and The SGML Centre (structured information management specialists), are both based in the UK  相似文献

In multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna systems, the zero forcing decision feedback detector (ZF-DFD) is used to recover transmit signals. In this paper, we propose a per-antenna power control (PAPC) scheme based on ZF-DFD for MIMO block-fading channels. The optimal power controlled ZF-DFD can minimize the block error rate (BLER) and maximize the lower bound of the channel’s free distance at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) region subject to a power constraint. Additionally, the optimal power controlled ZF-DFD can achieve this BLER performance without any ordering operation at the receiver. The performance analysis among the conventional ZF-DFD without feedback, the optimal power controlled ZF-DFD with power feedback, and the ZF-DFD with full channel state information feedback shows that the optimal ZF-DFD achieves a tradeoff between performance and feedback overhead. We compare the bit error rate (BER) and BLER performance of the optimal ZF-DFD with other detectors without power feedback by simulation. In simulations, the execution times required by these detectors are also reported to compare their complexity. It comes straight that the optimal power controlled ZF-DFD proposed in this paper can achieve good performance with small feedback overhead and have low complexity. In recent years, it has been realized that the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) communication system is inevitable in accelerating the evolution of high data rate applications. Also the latest research in Information and Communication Technology has told that considerable gains in capacity of wireless communication are feasible in MIMO systems. MIMO with Space Time Trellis Code (STTC) offers both diversity gain and coding gain. This paper discusses the evolutional variants of Space Time Trellis Code developed over a decade. The performance of New Trellis code for STTC, STTC for 4-PSK, Space Frequency Trellis code (SFTC), Space Time Bit Trellis Code, and Silver STTC have been studied and discussed. STTC with Trellis Coded Modulation creates a bandwidth efficient system with coding gain.  相似文献

In order to efficiently mitigate the interference of directional jammers, we investigate a beam-hopping (BH) communication scheme, which includes slow beam-hopping (SBH) and fast beam-hopping (FBH) schemes. In the BH communication scheme, only one pair of the beams is used for transmission and it hops from one to the next according to an assigned BH pattern. In this contribution, a range of expressions in terms of the symbol error rate (SER) performance of the BH and conventional single-beam (SB) schemes have been derived, when both the downlink and uplink are considered. The SER performance of the BH scheme is compared with that of the SB scheme, for M-ary phase-shift keying (MPSK) and M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (MQAM) signals under composite log normal shadowing/Nakagami-m fading channels. Our analysis and results show that the proposed BH scheme is suitable for communications, when several distributed antenna arrays are available around a mobile.Honglin Hu received his Ph.D in Communications and Information System from the University of Science and Technology of China, 2004. This paper presents a design method of ByPassing Unit(BPU) in 32-bit Digital Signal Processor(DSP)-MD32. MD32 is realized in 0.18 μm technology, 1.8V and 200 MHz working clock. It focuses on the Reduced Instruction Set Computer(RISC) architecture and DSP computation capability thoroughly, extends DSP with various addressing modes in a customized DSP pipeline stage architecture. The paper also discusses the architecture and circuit design of bypassing logic to fit MD32 architecture. The parallel execution of BPU with instruction decode in architecture level is applied to reduce time delay. The optimization of circuit that serial select with priority is analyzed in detail, and the result shows that about half of time delay is reduced after this optimization. Examples show that BPU is useful for improving the DSP's performance. The forwarding logic in MD32 realizes 8 data channels feedback and meets the working clock limit.  相似文献
