The critical current densityJ c of Y1–x Ho x Ba2Cu3O7– (YHBCO) epitaxial thin films withx=0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.7 at various temperatures and magnetic fields has been measured magnetically. TheJ c and flux pinning density Fp values are significantly enhanced with the Ho substitute amountx with the optimal effect achieved at Ho concentration around x=0.4 in the entire measured temperature (30–77 K) and magnetic field (0–3 T) ranges. X-ray diffraction patterns have shown that the greater the lattice deformation, the higher theJ c of the films.  相似文献

We report on the successful fabrication of bulk samples satisfying the nominal composition YBa2Cu3–x Te x O7– and containing highly single-crystal-like texture. While this type of crystal growing process is not new, our process requires only the existence of spatial temperature gradient in some parts of the common tube furnace. The samples with tellurium were found to be much more stable and better superconductors than the Y-123 specimen. Large layer textures with cross-section 50×500m2 were observed to grow inside the usual bulk sample. The critical currents were measured by the d.c. magnetization method and found to be easily greater than 6000 A cm–2 for the samples with Te.  相似文献

We present the percolation and electronic properties of (Y1Ba2Cu3O7– )1–xAgx compounds in which silver fills the intergranular space without reducing Tc, which remains at 92 ± 1 K. Normal-state resistivity is decreased by up to two orders of magnitude when adding up to 50 wt.% Ag (T c=87 K), and samples exhibit improved contact resistance, better mechanical properties, and resistance to water. We analyzed the percolation properties of these compounds and found that the critical indicest, s are in agreement with percolation theory, butp c is higher than expected, probably due to the effect of holes. TheJ c estimated from magnetization reaches 5 · 104A/cm2 (atT = 4.2K,H = 0) and shows enhancement of 15–50% by addition of 10 wt.% Ag, which exists also in samples having a higherJ c due to preparation conditions (temperature). We present preliminary results on the 2D percolation problem in (Y1Ba2Cu3O[7– )1–xAgx samples, obtained by preparing Y1Ba2Cu3O7– thick films using the spin-on technique. Preliminary results show good adhesion but a reduced Tc of Y1Ba2Cu3O7– films compared with bulk samples.  相似文献

Investigations of Y1–x M x Ba2Cu3O7– (M=Ce, Th)c-axis oriented thin film specimens show that the rate of depression ofT c withx is larger for M=Th, than for M=Ce and Pr, and suggest that Ce, like Th, is tetravalent in this compound. Hall effect measurements on Y1–x Pr x Ba2Cu3O7– single crystals reveal aT 2 dependence of the cotangent of the Hall angle in the normal state and a negative Hall anomaly belowT c in the superconducting state, in agreement with recent reports. Our research shows that the depth, , of the negative Hall signal scales withT/T c and that the maximum value of decreases linearly withx and vanishes atx0.24. Magnetoresistance measurements on Y1–x Pr x Ba2Cu3O7– single crystals indicate that the irreversibility lineH(T *) obeys a universal scaling relation characterized by anm=3/2 power law nearT c, with a crossover to a more rapid temperature dependence of belowT/T c 0.6, similar to that observed for polycrystalline specimens.  相似文献

The diffusion of the excess oxygen during phase separation in La2CuO4+ was studied using thermal history-dependent normal state magnetic susceptibility(T, t) measurements versus temperatureT and timet as a probe. A large thermal hysteresis of(T) was observed for La2CuO4.044 between data obtained after quenching to 5 K and then warming, and data obtained while or after slowly cooling from 300 K. A model for the excess oxygen diffusion is presented, from which the(T, t) data yield aT-independent activation energy of 0.24(3) eV for the diffusion coefficient of the excess oxygen from 150 to 220 K. In related work, we have used139La NQR andSR measurements to probe the antiferromagnetic (AF) region (x<0.02) of the La2–x Sr x CuO4 system below the Néel temperatureT N(x), from which we extract the Cu+2 staggered magnetizationM (x, T). M(x, T=0), extrapolated from above 30 K, was successfully modeled with spin-wave theory, assuming that the doped holes are mobile and are situated in walls in the CuO2 plane which uncouple undoped AF domains; these domains are coupled to those in adjacent CuO2 planes. This agreement supports the previous hypothesis that microsegregation of the (mobile) doped holes into domain walls occurs above 30 K, consistent with the phenomenology of Emery and Kivelson. Below 30 K, an anomalous increase inM (x, T) is observed, such thatM (x, T=0) is nearly independent ofx. We interpret this effect as arising from localization of the doped holes below 30 K.Deceased.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the thermoelectric power of calcium substituted YBa2–x Ca x Cu3O7– pellets with 0x1.5 is presented between 60 K and 300 K. A metal–insulator transition was reported earlier by us in this system and was attributed to the ionic size-dependent localization effect. While the sign of thermoelectric power of all the calcium substituted samples was found to be positive, its magnitude increases significantly with calcium content in YBCO. The normal state thermoelectric power data of substituted YBa2–x Ca x Cu3O7– (0x1.5) are discussed in light of a two-band model originally proposed by Gottwick et al. for heavy fermion systems and later modified by Forro et al.  相似文献

We have measured the in-plane longitudinal resistivities a and b as functions of temperature and magnetic field. The measurements were all made on the same detwinned single crystal of YBa2Cu3O7 – (YBCO). DefiningT c to be at the onset of resistance, it is the same for a and b in a magnetic field ranging from 0 to 3.5 T. In zero field,T c = 93.4 K, so the oxygen doping of the crystal was approximately optimal. In the mixed state, the anisotropy ratio of the resistivities ( a/b) decreases with decreasingT orH, and the chain conductivity ( b-a) is smaller than the plane conductivity ( a). Both a and b increase with decreasing temperature, and so does ( b-a).  相似文献

We have measured magnetic penetration depth(0) of high-T c YBCO samples of different density by the cavity resonant frequency shift method at 10, 16.65, and 22.3 GHz microwave frequencies. The value of(0) at 10 GHz is found to decrease from 5850 Å to 2550 Å as the density of the sample increases from 4.4 to 5.3 g/cm3. The results of the frequency response of the penetration depth show a fairly constant value of(0) for all the three samples in the frequency range 10–22.3 GHz. The wide variation observed in the value of(0) for different density samples has been explained in terms of varying Josephson coupling strength in these ceramics.  相似文献

The effects of Cr in ErBa2(Cu1–x Cr x )O7– (x=0–0.1) superconductor have been investigated. The critical temperature, which was determined by DC electrical resistance measurements, showed no suppression of the onset temperature (T c onset) within the substitution range. The transition width (T c ) broadened as the Cr content is increased. The normal state changes from the metal-like to semimetal/semiconductor-like for x0.03. Micrographs from the scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction pattern, and energy dispersive X-ray analysis results are used to describe the superconducting properties of these materials. The orthorhombic structure was preserved throughout the substitution range. Some possible roles of Cr in the system are discussed.  相似文献

We report point contact spectroscopy measurements on Y1Ba2Cu3O7– thin films and textured bulk ceramics. The I(V) curves measured along the copper-oxygenab plane direction are characteristic of the Andreev reflection phenomenon, with a sharp break at the gap edge. This allows a rather precise determination of the (in-plane) gap, = 20 meV. Subgap structure suggests the existence of a smaller gap for some orientations in theab plane, of the order of 12 meV. The ratio of the zero bias conductance to the normal state one, in theab direction measurements, enabled us to set a lower bound to the Fermi velocity in Y1Ba2Cu3O7– in this direction: F>-7 × 107 cm/sec. The value of F has a crucial importance in the determination of the theoretical explanation for superconductivity in the high-temperature superconductors. For out-of-plane measurements, only a weak zero bias anomaly is observed at energies up to 5meV.On sabbatical leave from Soreq Nuclear Research Center Yavne, Israel.  相似文献
