China Attending the 28th ISO/REMCO Meeting

The 28th annual meeting of ISO/REMCO (the Committee on Reference Material of ISO) was held in Geneva, Switzerland, on April 18-21, 2005, hosted by ISO Central Secretariat. About 41 representatives coming from 35 member countries and organizations participated in the annual meeting. Ms Xu Dajun from CAS (China Association for Standardization), Ms Liu Xiaojian from CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration of P.R.C) and Mr. Zhang Tianyou from Beijing Institute of New Technology Application attended the meeting and gave reports.     

The 6th Meeting of CAS Board of Executive Directors

The 6th meeting of the board of executive directors of China Association for Standardization (CAS) (the 2nd chairman meeting in 2005) was held in Beijing on January 19th, 2006. The attendees were Mr. Li Zhonghai, President of CAS, who presided over the meeting, Ms. Li Rui and Mr. Li Chuntian, Advisers of CAS, Sun Xiaokang and Shi Baoquan, Vice Directors of SAC (Standardization Administration of China), Jiao Yunqi, President of CNIS (China National Institute of Standardization), Zhang Jianquan, Director of SPC (the Standards Press of China), over 20executive directors and some CAS officers.     

National Standardization Technical Committee on Plant Quarantine Founded in Beijing

The inaugural meeting of the National Standardization Technical Committee on Plant Quarantine and the 1st Plenary Session of the Committee were held in Beijing on March 26th, 2004. Wang Fengqing, Li Zhonghai, and Xia Hongmin, leaders of China General Administration of Quality Supervision,Inspection and Quarantine of P.R. China (AQSIQ),were present and spoke at the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Sun Xiaokang, Vice Director of the Standardization Administration of China.

The annual meeting of International Electrotechnical Commission and International Special Committee on Radio Interference( IEC/CISPR ) 2004,which was sponsored by Standardization Administration of China and China National Administration of IEC, organized by China National Technical Committee for Standardization on Radio Interference as well as Shanghai Electrical Apparatus Research Institute where the Committee Secretariat is, was held in Yinghe Hotel, Shanghai from September 6 to 17,2004.     

Annual meeting of ISO/TC 69/SC 7 held

正The annual meeting of ISO/TC 69/SC 7 on applications of statistical and related techniques for the implementation of Six Sigma was held virtually on June 18 as planned, attracting representatives from China, the US, the UK, Germany, Japan and India. The secretariat of the sub-committee is SAC supported by Fundamental Standardization Sub-Institute of China National Institute of Standardization(CNIS).     

SAC/SWG 18 on baby & children products established

正The inauguration meeting together with the annual meeting of National Standardization Working Group on Baby Children Products (SAC/SWG 18) was held on December 22,2020 in Guangzhou.The event was addressed by Chen Hongjun,Deputy Director-General of Standards Technical Management Department of SAMR,and attended by some 200 representatives from MIIT,General Administration of Customs,China National Light Industry Council,relevant industries,etc.     

The Inaugural Meeting of SAC/TC 279 Was Held

On June 20th, 2005, the inaugural meeting of National Technical Committee 279 on Nanotechnology of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 279)was held in Beijing, with the approval of SAC (Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China) on April 1st, 2005. The Secretariat of the Committee is located in National Center for Nano Science and Technology of China.     

China and Greece Sign the Standardization Cooperation Agreement

The Standardization Working Group of the Chinese-German Joint Committee of Industry and Trade held its annual meeting in Berlin, Germany from May 8 to 9, 2014. SAC Vice-Administrator Fang Xiang chaired the meeting together with Dr. Rainer Jakel, Deputy Director-General for Technology and Innovation Policy of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

<正>The annual National Standardization Work Conference was held in Beijing on February 28, 2023. By fully implementing the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the National Standardization Development Outline, the conference summarized the standardization work in 2022 and deployed the key tasks this year.     

Congratulation to China Standardization Press

The journal China Standardization in Chinese version, the first standardization magazine in China, were firstly published in 1958 by the China Association for Standardization (CAS).Sanctioned by the proper state authorities in September 2010,both the Chinese and English versions of the journal China Standardization merged with three other journals founded previously by the China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS), Standard Science, Standard Living, and Terminology Standardization and Information Technology.The newly established China Standardization Press is cosponsored by CNIS and CAS.The new press has started to function since then and will publish all five journals with new looks in coming months.This is certainly a milestone that is worth celebration.     

Chinese Standardization Undertakings Attracted Wide Attention in Strategy Executive Committee Meeting of ISO Council

The 14th Strategy Executive Committee Meeting of ISO Council, held in Geneva, Switzerland,was about to end on the afternoon of Jan. 27th, 2004.It was decided in the meeting to particularly add an agenda: Wang Zhongmin, Vice Director of the Standardization Administration of China, was going to make a theme speech to introduce the Standardization Administration of China and the situation of Chinese standardization undertakings.     

Tian Shihong Takes Office as SA C Administrator

The National Provincial Standardization Working Conlbrcnce was held in Nanjing from August 1 to 2, 2013. Reresentatives from local standardization administrations of 31 provinces （autonomous regions and municipalities） and delegates from relevant depatments and the standard intbnnation center of SAC, CNIS and China Standardization Press attended the meeting. SAC ViceAdminislrator Sun Bo attended the meeting and delivered a working report.

The opening ceremony for the restructured China Standardization Press was grandly held in Beijing on December 1st, Mr.Pu Changcheng, the vice minister of the General Administration of Quality Supervision,Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), Mr.Ji Zhengkun, the administrator of the Standardization Administration of China (SAC), Li Zhonghai, the chairman of China Association for Standardization (CAS) and the president of the China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS) attended and addressed at the ceremony.     

China Passed the 3~(rd) Transitional Review of WTO/TBT Committee Successfully

At the 35th WTO/TBT regular meeting closed on November 4, China passed the 3rd transitional review of WTO/TBT committee successfully. It is an agenda of the 35th regular meeting that re viewing China's implementation of WTO/TBT agree ment.China delegation, consisting of representatives form Commerce Department, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China (AQSIQ), Certification and Accreditation Ad ministration of China (CNCA) and Standardization Administration of China (SAC), attended the confer ence in WTO headquarters in Geneva,Swiss on November 1st to 5th.

The Third Session of China Financial Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 180) was inaugurated in Beijing on May 8, 2012. Vice-Administrator of SAC Sun Bo attended the meeting and delivered a congratulation speech.     

National Standardization Meeting Held in Beijing

On March 23, 2006, the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) held the national standardization meeting in Beijing. Li Changjiang, Minister of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of P.R.China (AQSIQ), Liu Pingjun, Director of SAC and other related officials from the relevant departments of the State Council, professional associations, and the officials and representatives from enterprises of various sectors of China attended the meeting.     

National Financial Technical Committee Holds 2012 Annual Meeting in Beijing

The Annual Working Conference of China Financial Standardization Technical Committee (CFSTC) Held in Beijing on December 18, 2012. The meeting reviewed the work and performance of CFSTC in the passing year, and put forward the working plans for the coming 2013. Mr. Li Dongrong, the Chairman of CFSTC, member of the Party committee and president assistant of PBC, hosted this conference.     

Revised GB/T 18043 on Jewelry Approved

The revision and consultation of GB/T 18043 on jewelry was completed recently and the revised standard was approved at the annual meeting of the National Jewelry Standardization Technical Committee.
