The aim of this paper on recent development in chalcogenide mechanochemistry is to provide a comprehensive review of advances achieved in the field of mechanochemical synthesis of nanocrystalline binary, ternary and quaternary chalcogenides and their nanocomposites. The synthetic approaches from elements and compounds are reviewed. The current focus of mechanochemical synthesis is on materials with potential utilization in future. In order to demonstrate the suitability of mechanochemically prepared chalcogenides for various applications, the concrete examples of the utilization of these materials in materials engineering, bioimaging and cancer treatment are provided. The possibility of scaling for industrial applications is also reviewed. The simplification of the synthesis processes with their reproducibility and easy way of operation, ecological safety and the product extraordinariness (nanoscale aspects) emphasizes the suitability of mechanochemistry application in chalcogenide synthesis. 相似文献

Phosphine (PH3) was investigated as an n-type dopant source for Au-catalyzed vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) growth of phosphorus-doped silicon nanowires (SiNWs). Transmission electron microscopy characterization revealed that the as-grown SiNWs were predominately single crystal even at high phosphorus concentrations. Four-point resistance and gate-dependent conductance measurements confirmed that electrically active phosphorus was incorporated into the SiNWs during VLS growth. A transition was observed from p-type conduction for nominally undoped SiNWs to n-type conduction upon the introduction of PH3 to the inlet gas. The resistivity of the n-type SiNWs decreased by approximately 3 orders of magnitude as the inlet PH3 to silane (SiH4) gas ratio was increased from 2 x 10(-5) to 2 x 10(-3). These results demonstrate that PH3 can be used to produce n-type SiNWs with properties that are suitable for electronic and optoelectronic device applications. 相似文献

Powder metal injection molding has been used for fabrication of near net shape parts from a number of ferrous alloys including carbonyl steels and stainless steels in the 3XX series and PH 17-4. However, no work has been performed to-date on the metal injection molding of PH 13-8 Mo. Because of a special application, this alloy was injection molded and debound using two different methods. Mechanical properties and micro structural analysis of PH 13-8 Mo parts formed using metal injection molding are presented. Differences in mechanical properties, heat treatment response, and microstructure were observed between the different methods used to make the parts. 相似文献

17-4 PH, precipitation hardening stainless steel (ASTM A 705 Grade 630), is widely employed in several industrial fields because of its favourable combination of excellent mechanical properties and good corrosion resistance. An important application of 17-4 PH is the construction of centrifugal compressor impellers, where performance benefits from the steel's high mechanical resistance even when it is necessary to limit hardness, for example, as per NACE MR0175, to avoid devastating sulphide stress cracking phenomena in sour environments. Nevertheless, there has been a case in which impellers made of 17-4 PH have been subject to failures. It was a centrifugal compressor employed in a gas lifting service in which the fluid entrained water with a high level of salinity. Laboratory failure analysis attributed the damage to chloride stress corrosion cracking phenomena and was followed by a study on the behaviour of 17-4 PH in chloride-rich environments and on the action to take to avoid damage causing forced outages and loss of production. 相似文献
