Intrinsic dielectric properties and tuning conductivity play important roles in microwave absorption. Novel multi-interfaced ZnSnO3@ fine ash (ZSFA) composite was successfully synthesized by coating cube-like ZnSnO3 particles with highly graphitized gasification fine ash. After hydrothermal reaction and Ostwald ripening process, fine ash was tightly wrapped around the assembly of ZnSnO3 particles. Related electromagnetic parameters and dielectric dissipation ability were discussed with different mass additions. Owing to the strong polarization relaxation, special conductive network, and multi-interface structural design, the as-synthesized ZSFA exhibited adjustable dielectric loss behaviors and efficient microwave absorption ability. When 50% mass added, the maximum reflection loss value of the obtained ZSFA-2 is ?47.8 dB at 2.5 mm thickness, showing the enhanced dielectric loss ability. Meanwhile, the widest effective absorption bandwidth (RL ≤ ?10 dB) can cover 7.0 GHz (11.0–18.0 GHz) at a thickness of only 2.2 mm, which included the entire Ku band. This unique pure dielectric composite exhibited high-performance electromagnetic wave attenuation property and broadband frequency response, thereby providing a new approach to the production of a superior microwave absorber.  相似文献

Polyaniline (PANI)-based networks combined with Fe3O4 hollow spheres and carbon balls (FCP) for improved electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption were investigated using an easy-to-industrialize solvothermal and physical method. Hollow structure Fe3O4 spheres with a lower density than that of the common solid sphere were prepared. As a thin and light magnetic material, Fe3O4 hollow spheres generate magnetic loss, carbon balls and PANI networks generate dielectric loss. The magnetic and conductive parts play appropriate roles in achieving complementarity in the EMW absorption. The relatively high specific surface area introduced by PANI networks promotes interfacial polarization and further supports dielectric loss. In conclusion, the above reasons provide multiple attenuation mechanisms. Samples FCP1 (?65.109 dB, at 12.800 GHz, 1.966 mm, from 5.6 to 18.0 GHz) and FCP2 (?61.033 dB, at 8.480 GHz, 3.328 mm, from 4.3 to 18.0 GHz) demonstrated a wide bandwidth, a small thickness, a minimum reflection loss (RL), and a low loading ratio (25%) in paraffin-based composites. Specifically, their loading ration of 25% is much lower than the loading ratio of conventional materials (usually 50% and above). In addition, the bandwidth is excessively wide, above 12 GHz, possessing good absorption performance in continuous intervals with different thicknesses. Such excellent characteristics have rarely been reported in literature.  相似文献

In this work, single- and double-layer electromagnetic wave absorbers were prepared by as-prepared MWCNTs/BaTiO3/pitted carbonyl iron composites. MWCNT/BaTiO3 (MW/BTO) was prepared via sol-gel method whereas the carbonyl iron particles (CI) were corroded via pitting corrosion method. The structural, microstructural, magnetic and microwave absorption properties of the composites were evaluated via X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and vector network analyzer (VNA) methods. CST studio software was employed to simulate the microwave absorption characteristics of double-layer absorbers. Moreover, the effects of changing matching and absorbing layer thickness (3 mm in total) and filler loading (10, 20 and 30 wt%) of the as-prepared composite on the microwave absorption properties were investigated. According to the results, maximum RL value for single layer absorber with 20 wt% filler loading can reach ?11.5 dB at 9.7 GHz with 3 mm thickness and 0.4 GHz bandwidth. In contrast, double-layered absorber using 10 wt% of the composite in the upper layer (as matching layer) and 30 wt% of the composite in lower layer (as absorbing layer) can increase the reflection loss and absorption bandwidth values to ?15.5 dB and 1 GHz respectively. Improving in absorption characteristics can be attributed to coupling interactions, impedance matching and multiple scattering. The main advantages of the prepared double layer absorber than single layer absorber are tuning the intensity and effective absorption bandwidth by adjusting the layer order, thickness and filler loading of each layer which shown good potential for practical application.  相似文献

The electromagnetic (EM) wave absorbing properties of Cr2AlB2 powders and those after high-temperature oxidation were investigated. Coupling of magnetic and dielectric loss enables Cr2AlB2 with good absorption properties. The minimum reflection loss (RL) value is −44.9 dB at 8.5 GHz with a thickness of 2.7 mm, and the optimized effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) is 4.4 GHz (13.0-17.4 GHz) with a thickness of 1.6 mm. After oxidation at 750, 900, and 1000°C for 2 h, the minimum RL values, respectively, are −23.9 dB (17.5 GHz, 1.5 mm), −41.4 dB (16.5 GHz, 1.5 mm), and −39.5 dB (8.0 GHz, 3.0 mm); and the corresponding EAB values, respectively, are 3.8 GHz (13.6-17.4 GHz, 1.7 mm), 4.1 GHz (13.5-17.6 GHz, 1.6 mm), and 4.4 GHz (13.0-17.4 GHz, 1.7 mm). With an absorber thickness of 1.5-4.0 mm, the EAB with a RL value of less than −10 dB can be tuned in a broad-frequency range 5.0-18.0 GHz, which basically covers C (4-8 GHz), X (8-12 GHz), and Ku (12-18 GHz) bands. These results demonstrate that Cr2AlB2, as a high-efficient and oxidation-resistant absorber, is a promising candidate for microwave absorption applications and can retain good EM wave absorbing properties after high-temperature oxidation.  相似文献

The research and development of dielectric microwave absorbing materials with broad electromagnetic (EM) response is a significant project in EM wave absorption field. To achieve high-performance absorption and strong interfacial bonding at the same time, thermal-assisted in-situ bonding technology was applied to fabricating the dielectric composite absorbing materials. Thanks to the combination of vacuum filtration and in-situ hydrothermal reaction, the as-prepared binary composite aerogel shows both strong interface contacting and good mechanical stability. In addition, the carbon nanofibers/silica composite aerogel (CSA) exhibits ultra-broad effective bandwidth covering from S to Ku band, originated from the uniform dispersed silica aerogel in conductive carbon fiber network. In details, for CSA1 sample, the maximum reflection loss (RL) values and effective absorption bandwidth reach −46.2 dB (1.8 mm) and 5.2 GHz (1.5 mm). Meanwhile, the optimum RCS reduction values reaches 16.2 dB m2 when the detection theta was set as 0°. For CSA2 sample, the effective absorption bandwidth reaches 8.64 GHz at 1.5 mm, and tends to possess lower frequency EM response covering the S-band. This work exhibits a kind of broad-bandwidth aerogel absorbers at low thickness, which shows huge potential in large-scale production of microwave absorbing devices.  相似文献

In order to expand the application prospects of SiCN ceramics in the field of microwave (MW) absorption materials, a series of Ni3Si embedded SiCN ceramic fibers composites (NSF) were prepared by controlling Ni conversion rate through the electrospinning technique and polymer derivation, with the intention of improving the impedance matching degree, enhancing the conductivity and polarization, and further promoting the dielectric loss ability and MW absorption performance of ceramic materials. The microstructure, phase composition, conductivity, MW absorption properties and mechanism of the material were analyzed by a variety of characterization methods. The results show that NSF exhibited high dielectric loss efficiency and desirable effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) when the conversion rate of Ni was 0.5 wt%: The MW of the entire Ku band (12–18 GHz, 6 GHz) could be effectively absorbed by the sample with a thickness of 2.64 mm, and its EAB could cover 6–18 GHz by adjusting its thickness from 1 mm to 5 mm, so its performance is significantly superior to a number of similar SiCN based composite ceramic materials previously reported. To sum up, the NSF prepared in this work exhibits suitable impedance matching degree, good conductivity, obvious polarization effect, excellent dielectric loss ability, and gratifying EAB in MW, and it is expected to become a powerful candidate in the field of broadband MW absorption materials in the future.  相似文献

The development of ultralightweight and broadband electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorbing materials remains a big challenge. In this work, porous magnesium ferrite microspheres decorated nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide (NRGO/MgFe2O4) composite aerogels were prepared by a two-step route of solvothermal synthesis and hydrothermal self-assembly. Results of microscopic morphology characterization showed that NRGO/MgFe2O4 composite aerogels had a unique hierarchical porous structure. Moreover, the influence of additive amounts of graphene oxide on the electromagnetic parameters and EMW absorption properties of NRGO/MgFe2O4 composite aerogels was explored. Remarkably, the attained binary composite aerogel with the content of NRGO of 70.21 wt% exhibited the best EMW absorption performance. The minimum reflection loss reached up to −55.7 dB, and the corresponding effective absorption bandwidth was as large as 5.36 GHz at a thin matching thickness of 1.98 mm. Furthermore, when the matching thickness was slightly increased to 2.29 mm, the widest effective absorption bandwidth was enlarged to 7.1 GHz, covering the entire Ku-band. The magnetodielectric synergy and unique hierarchical porous structure in NRGO/MgFe2O4 composite aerogels not only improved the impedance matching, but also greatly enhanced the EMW absorption capacity. It was believed that the results of this work could be helpful for the preparation of graphene-based magnetic composites as broadband and efficient EMW absorbers.  相似文献

Polymer blends based on nanostructured polyaniline (PANI) doped with hydrochloric acid (HCl) and para‐toluene sulfonic acid (PTSA) introduced into aliphatic polyurethane matrix (PU) are synthesized to produce flexible thin composite films for microwave absorbers. The effects of dopant type, PANI content and film thickness on morphologies, dielectric and microwave absorption properties in the X‐band are studied. It reveals that real and imaginary parts of the complex permittivity are proportional to filler concentrations and type of doped PANI. The PANI‐PTSA/PU films show higher permittivity and better microwave absorbing properties than PANI‐HCl/PU for the same weight fraction of PANI. The minimum reflection loss RL(dB) values for the PANI‐PTSA/PU are ?37 dB at (20% PANI and 11.6 GHz) and ?30 dB at (15% PANI and 11.3 GHz) for thicknesses of 1.2 and 1.6 mm, respectively. These high values of reflection losses make the obtained lightweight and flexible composites promising radar absorbing materials (RAM). © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. The increasing electromagnetic interference problems have drawn much attention to microwave absorbing materials. To satisfy the needs of practical application, FeSiAl and flaky graphite filled Al2O3 composites were sintered by hot-pressing for microwave absorption application. The effect of FeSiAl particle size on the electromagnetic and microwave absorption properties was investigated in the X-band (8.2–12.4 GHz). The results show that the dielectric properties enhance significantly with increasing FeSiAl particle size, which is attributed to the increased interfacial polarization and conductance loss. As a result of the favorable impedance matching and appropriate electromagnetic attenuation, the reflection loss (RL) of the composites filled with 25–48 μm flaky FeSiAl achieves -15.2 dB at 10.6 GHz and the effective absorption bandwidth (RL < -10 dB) is 1.2 GHz in 10.0–11.2 GHz with a matching thickness of 1.0 mm. It indicates that FeSiAl and flaky graphite filled Al2O3 composites are potential candidates for thin-thickness microwave absorbing materials, and the microwave absorption properties can be enhanced by adjusting absorbent particle size.  相似文献

A careful approach to the optimization of magnetic and dielectric losses in nanomaterials can improve the electromagnetic wave absorption loss performance for certain microwave absorption applications. In this study we prepared dual core (Fe/TiCN) coated with nitrogen (N) doped carbon shell nanocomposite by arc-discharge method under mix atmospheres of working gases and with varying elemental compositions. Among all nanocomposites, (Fe/TiC0.7N0.3)@N–C dual-core@ N- doped shell nanocomposite exhibits enhanced microwave absorption. Owing to the novel dual-core@ N-doped shell structure and numerous defects induced by doping N in carbon shells, an improved dielectric relaxation in composite is observed and the minimum reflection loss was reached −44.36 dB at 5.3 GHz for 4.8 mm thickness.  相似文献

Here in, the effects of FeSiAl particle size on the dielectric and microwave absorption properties of FeSiAl/Al2O3 composites were studied. FeSiAl/Al2O3 composites containing 18–25 μm, 25–48 μm, and 48–75 μm FeSiAl particles were prepared by hot-pressed sintering based on uniformly mixed FeSiAl and Al2O3 powders. Results show that the real permittivity and the imaginary permittivity are significantly promoted with increasing FeSiAl particle size, which is ascribed to the enhanced interfacial polarization and conductance loss. In addition, the favorable matching impedance and suitable attenuation coefficient enabled the composite containing 25–48 μm FeSiAl powder to show a minimum reflection loss of ?34.4 dB at 11.7 GHz and an effective absorption bandwidth (<-10 dB) of 1.4 GHz in 11.0–12.4 GHz, when the thickness is 1.1 mm. By adjusting the thickness to 1.4 mm, the effective absorption bandwidth of the composite reaches a maximum value of 2.0 GHz in the 8.3–10.3 GHz range, indicating tunable, strong, and highly efficient microwave absorption performance.  相似文献

In this paper, Co2Si(Co)/SiCN composite ceramics were synthesized by simple precursor-derived ceramics method. The phase composition, morphology, and microwave absorption properties of Co2Si(Co)/SiCN composite ceramics at different pyrolysis temperatures (1000–1400°C) were studied. When pyrolysis temperature was 1300°C, carbon nanowires (CNWs), Co2Si, Si2N2O, SiC and Si3N4 were in situ generated and the best electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption performance was obtained. The minimum reflection loss reached−50.04 dB at 4.81 mm, and the effective absorption bandwidth broadened to 3.48 GHz (14.52–18 GHz) at 1.31 mm. The excellent EMW absorption performance mainly comes from the coexistence of multiple loss mechanisms, including the magnetic loss of Co2Si, the conduction loss of CNWs, and the heterogeneous interfaces polarization between varieties of nanocrystals and amorphous ceramic matrix. By adjusting the sample thickness from 1 to 5 mm, the effective absorption of S1300 can cover the entire X and Ku bands, from 3.36 to 18 GHz. This study provides a simple way to synthesize high performance ceramic-based microwave absorbing materials.  相似文献

Morphological configuration plays a vital role in regulating the absorption performance of magnetic materials. Herein, a novel challenge is discussed on electromagnetic loss features of two hard and soft magnetic materials with hierarchical brain-coral like structure and rod-like structure. In this study, pure SrFe12O19 (Sr) as hard magnetic component and CoFe2O4 (Co) as soft magnetic component with two distinct morphologies were successfully synthesized by facile hydrothermal and solvothermal methods. In the first approach, electromagnetic loss features of rod and brain-coral-like particles were investigated, and in second approach -according to the obtained results-microwave absorption performance of a mixture of hard/soft magnetic components with hierarchical structure were evaluated. The minimal reflection loss (RL) for brain-coral-like particles of individual Sr and Co samples were −17.6 dB (at 18.8 GHz with 9 mm thickness) and −31.2 dB (at 8.1 GHz with 10 mm thickness), respectively, which show far better performance than rod-like structure. Remarkably, the composite of Sr and Co micro-particles with hierarchical structure exhibited strong RL value of −38 dB with 2.6 GHz effective absorption bandwidth at the thickness of 2.5 mm, with a filling ratio of 40 wt%. According to the results, it is founded that the electromagnetic loss features are crucially boosted via hierarchical configuration of magnetic materials. Increment in complex permittivity and permeability, accounting for the formation of cross-linked networks in the hierarchical structure, promoted the interfacial polarization phenomena with different relaxation times and appearance of multi resonance peaks.  相似文献

Given the rapid development of electrommunication and radar detection technologies, low frequency electromagnetic wave materials have received more and more attention. Herein, the Apium-derived biochar loaded with MnFe2O4@C has been successfully prepared by using co-solvothermal and calcination method. The cladding carbon layer on MnFe2O4 NPs is migrated from biochar via thermal diffusion, and the biochar is covered with the ferrite NPs as well. Thus, the combination of dielectric and magnetic loss endows the composite with excellent low frequency electromagnetic absorption ability i.e. the optimal microwave absorbing intensity is −48.92  dB at 0.78 GHz with an extended effective absorbing bandwidth of 0.38–1.78 GHz for only 2.5 mm thickness, being ascribed to nature resonance, multiple interfacial and surface polarization, strong electromagnetic attenuation ability and good impedance matching property in detail. This bio-based ferrite composites have great potential in preparation of MAMs due to the advantages of extraordinary performance, lightweight property, environmental protection and easy degradation.  相似文献

For wider-band and stronger electromagnetic (EM) wave absorption, macroporous short carbon fibers/mullite matrix (Cf/Mu) composites were prepared via introducing short carbon fibers (0, 0.7, and 1.3 vol%) with length of 2-3 mm into macroporous mullite ceramic by gel-casting. The density of as-prepared Cf/Mu composites decreases from 2.93 g/cm3 to 2.74 g/cm3, while the porosity increases from 3.32% to 10.76% with the rise in carbon fibers content. The diameter of macropores in Cf/Mu composites is ranging from several microns to tens of microns. Complex permittivity and dielectric loss of the prepared composites in X-band (8.2-12.4 GHz) are significantly enhanced with increased carbon fibers content. The best EM wave absorption performance is obtained in the macroporous Cf/Mu composites containing only 0.7 vol% carbon fibers (Cf/Mu-0.7). The maximum absorption loss of Cf/Mu-0.7 is −38.3 dB at 12.08 GHz at the thickness of 2.1 mm, and effective absorption bandwidth below −10 dB (over 90% of EM wave absorption) covers the whole X band with the thickness of 2.35 mm. The results suggest that the Cf/Mu composites can be promising high-performance EM wave absorbing materials.  相似文献

In this work, a novel graphene-based ternary composite NiOx@CS/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) consisting of magnetic nanoparticles (NiOx) and porous carbon spheres (CS) were successfully synthesised through facile hydrothermal and high-temperature sintering approaches. Owing to the ternary structure, the dielectric and magnetic capacity of the composite was improved. Further, the synergistic effect of two loss mechanisms improves the absorption efficiency of electromagnetic waves. The maximum reflection loss of NiOx@CS/rGO-20 wt% was ?69.3 dB at 7.2 GHz and the absorption bandwidth with reflection loss below ?10 dB was 4.04 GHz (6.36–10.4 GHz). Hence, the NiOx@CS/rGO ternary composite with a combination of dielectric and magnetic loss-facilitated absorption provides a new design paradigm for tuneable elimination of electromagnetic signals.  相似文献

Low‐power plasma‐sprayed Cr/Al2O3 coatings have been developed for their potential application as broad bandwidth, thin thickness, lightweight, and strong microwave‐absorbing materials. The dielectric and microwave absorption properties of the as‐sprayed coatings were studied in the X‐band (from 8.2 to 12.4 GHz). High complex permittivity of the coatings was obtained because of a large number of internal boundaries and the conductive networks. Meanwhile, a significant enhancement of microwave absorption properties of the coating was achieved due to the enhanced interfacial polarization and conductance loss. The reflection loss (RL) <?10 dB of the Al2O3–15Cr coating was obtained from 9.8 to 11.4 GHz by choosing an appropriate coating thickness, and an optimal minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of ?45.35 dB was achieved at 10.3 GHz with a thin thickness of 1.32 mm.  相似文献

In order to overcome the problems caused by electromagnetic pollution, the design and development of high-performance microwave absorbers is urgently required. In this work, a hierarchical ZnFe2O4@MnO2@RGO composite was successfully fabricated via a facile and rapid hydrothermal method. Its unique core-shell structure and synergistic effect between multiple components are beneficial for electromagnetic wave absorption. The morphology, elemental composition, microstructure and microwave absorption characteristics were systematically studied. With a filler loading of 20 wt%, the composite presents a minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of ?46.7 dB and an effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) as wide as 5.2 GHz at a thickness of 2.5 mm. The superior absorption ability profits from a special microstructure, good impedance matching, multiple attenuation features, interfacial polarization, and the synergistic effect of dielectric and magnetic loss. Consequently, this work lays a foundation for the design of high-performance electromagnetic wave absorbers with multicomponent heterogeneous structures.  相似文献

To improve the electromagnetic (EM) wave absorption performance of rare earth silicate in harsh environments, this work synthesized dense SiC–Y2Si2O7 composite ceramics with excellent EM wave absorption properties by using the polymer permeation pyrolysis (PIP) process, which introduced carbon and SiC into a porous Y2Si2O7 matrix to form novel composite ceramics. SiC–Y2Si2O7 composite ceramics with different numbers of PIP cycles were tested and analysed. The results show that the as-prepared composites exhibit different microstructures, porosities, dielectric properties and EM wave absorption properties. On the whole, the SiC–Y2Si2O7 composite ceramics (with a SiC/C content of 29.88 wt%) show superior microwave absorption properties. The minimum reflection loss (RLmin) reaches ?16.1 dB when the thickness is 3.9 mm at 9.8 GHz. Moreover, the effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) included a broad frequency from 8.2 GHz to 12.4 GHz as the absorbent thickness varied from 3.15 mm to 4.6 mm. In addition, the EM wave absorption mechanism was analysed profoundly, which ascribed to the multiple mediums of nanocrystalline, amorphous phases and turbostratic carbon distributed in the Y2Si2O7 matrix. Therefore, SiC–Y2Si2O7 composite ceramics with high-efficiency EM wave absorption performance promise to be a novel wave absorbing material for applications in harsh environments.  相似文献

The Si-O-C ceramics were prepared by polymer-derived ceramic method using polysiloxane/FeCl3 as precursor with the FeCl3 content of 1.0 wt%. The microstructure, dielectric properties, and electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorbing properties in X band of the Si-O-C ceramic were investigated. It was found that the pyrolysis temperature has a great influence on the amount of in-situ formed CNTs and the transformation from CNTs to 1D SiC nanostructures. With the temperature rising from 1000 to 1500°C, the SiC formed with various morphologies including SiC microspheres, needle-like SiC, and SiC nanowires which were transformed from CNTs. The EMW absorbing properties were dramatically improved when the pyrolysis temperature raised to 1500°C; the minimum reflection loss (RL) was −58.37 dB of sample with a thickness of 2.95 mm at 10.11 GHz, and the absorbing band (RL ≤−20 dB) of sample at a thickness of 3.0 mm covers 3.8 GHz (8.2-12.0 GHz), which means more than 99% of the EMW were absorbed. The enhancement of EMW absorbing properties of bulk Si-O-C ceramics was attributed to the interfacial polarization induced by in-situ heterogeneous nanostructures with complex interfaces.  相似文献
