为实现太赫兹新频段的开拓,满足太赫兹应用对实用化功率源的需求,研发了太赫兹折叠波导慢波结构止带振荡器。器件工作在慢波结构的止带附近,利用高耦合阻抗的特点,完成强注波互作用,实现大功率、小尺寸的太赫兹源。实验验证的振荡器样管采用了折叠波导慢波结构,工作电压为23.1 kV,工作电流为150 mA,在振荡频率为124.45 GHz时,最大脉冲输出功率达到32 W。实验结果表明,该器件适于作为开拓新频段的探索,能够满足高功率、窄带宽需求的太赫兹应用。 相似文献

An axially symmetric power combiner, which utilizes a tapered conical impedance matching network to transform ten 50-Omega inputs to a central coaxial line over the X-band, is presented. The use of a conical line allows standard transverse electromagnetic design theory to be used, including tapered impedance matching networks. This, in turn, alleviates the problem of very low impedance levels at the common port of conical line combiners, which normally requires very high-precision manufacturing and assembly. The tapered conical line is joined to a tapered coaxial line for a completely smooth transmission line structure. Very few full-wave analyses are needed in the design process since circuit models are optimized to achieve a wide operating bandwidth. A ten-way prototype was developed at X-band with a 47% bandwidth, very low losses, and excellent agreement between simulated and measured results. 相似文献

A circuit technique is described whereby the electronic tuning range obtained by varactor tuning solid-state oscillators, such as Gunn oscillators, can be improved. The principle of the technique has been demonstrated by doubling the tuning range obtained from a coaxial X-band Gunn oscillator using distributed circuit elements. An analytical expression for the improved tuning range is presented and predictions for the improvement in an existing microstrip X-band oscillator using chip devices given. 相似文献

The usable frequency range has been substantially extended by considering the end radiation effect. Experimental results are given at X-band. 开展了具有同轴谐振腔互作用电路和双模工作杆控电子枪的X波段同轴腔双模多注速调管的研究工作.结合数值计算和冷测实验,对工作于TM310高次模的同轴谐振腔模式分布和特性参数进行研究,获得了可满足多注速调管要求的谐振腔特性阻抗和良好的模式稳定性.采用具有双控制极的新型杆控多注电子枪及电子光学系统,可使多注速调管具有双模的新工作特性,通过数值模拟获得了优化的几何参数和具有良好层流性和波动性的空心多电子注.对采用6个电子注和5个谐振腔的X波段多注速调管进行了注波互作用大信号计算,结果表明当电子注电压为21.5kV,脉冲电流为14.4A时,可在30MHz频带范围内获得的100kW左右的脉冲输出功率,互作用效率大于30%,增益大于36dB. 相似文献

An experimental investigation into the effects of package and circuit reactances on wide-band varactor-tuned oscillators is described. The results are used to design an X-band Gunn coaxial oscillator with a tuning range in excess of 3 GHz. It is shown that the stray reactance, junction capacitance, and bond-wire inductance affect the varactor tuning characteristics. The characteristics are conveniently displayed by the reflection phase variation with tuning voltage and frequency. A general theory for wide-band varactor-tuned oscillators is presented which is related to the impedance characteristics. These results are used to design three coaxial varactor-tuned oscillators. The first two oscillators are series arrangements while the third oscillator is a parallel arrangement. A simple circuit technique is used to improve the tuning range of each arrangement. This technique is shown to increase the coupling to the varactor diode and decrease the oscillator Q by reactance compensation. 相似文献

A new coaxial continuous transverse stub (CTS) array is proposed, designed, constructed, and tested. It is an omni-directional low cost antenna array which provides good impedance matching characteristics and good tolerance to manufacturing errors. It can be simply fed by a coaxial connector and is particularly suitable for millimeter wave personal communication systems (PCS). It is shown that this type of radiating element provides high percentage of radiation, and for the simulated design of single- and multiple-element arrays, S11 was below -10 dB across a 6 GHz frequency span at the Ka band. A three-element prototype coaxial CTS antenna array was designed, constructed, and tested in the X-band. Experimental results were in good agreement with the simulated performance.
