在GSM多功能基站的基础上增加了实现移动终端分组数据业务的功能,使得多功能基站的功能更加完善,相比于商用基站简化了终端分组数据业务实现的过程且能够在控制端对网络数据的交互进程实施管控。通过对多功能基站的系统参数配置,与终端之间的信令交互,以及对网络层的数据处理之后终端可以在多功能基站下实现分组数据业务,最后在控制终端对网络数据的交互进程进行管控。经过测试证明多功能基站系统能够有效的实现终端分组数据业务。  相似文献

Interworking WLANs and 3G mobile networks are expected to provide ubiquitous wireless communications at high data rates and a large variety of services with variable bandwidth and QoS requirements, across a wide range of propagation environments and mobility conditions, using dual mode terminals. The interworking of the two networks is a major step toward a new generation of wireless networks in which other radio technologies are also be integrated. In this article we present possible architectures that enable the interworking of 3G and WLAN networks. We then address the capabilities of various terminal types and describe future services in the interworking environment. 该文针对业务上下文仅关注业务质量较少考虑用户终端环境的现状,提出终端业务上下文的概念,为普适业务的开展提供必要的信息支撑。给出一种终端业务上下文的通用定义方法,该方法可以提取各类业务场景中终端环境的特征参数,使其形成可表示、可获知的上下文。提出基于终端业务上下文的业务模型,给出上下文的存储和使用方法。最后通过一个典型的普适业务接续场景验证了上述定义方法和业务模型。结果表明,该方法可以有效提取普适业务所需的上下文信息;基于该模型,业务平台能够动态适配异构的终端环境,为用户提供个性化终端呈现和接续服务。  相似文献

The authors describe a data syntax conversion method from CEPT (European standard) to Captain PLPS (Japanese standard) to permit interconnections between videotex services. They discuss the conversion results when an overseas videotex center, in particular, the Prestel (alpha-mosaic version in CEPT standard) center in the United Kingdom, is accessed from a Captain terminal using the described method. By the conversion method presented, the Captain terminal can access CEPT videotex centers as a CEPT terminal. There are two essential features. The first is that text and graphics data are converted into photographic information on Captain terminals to absorb differences of character size and graphic display. The second is that a color replacement method based on the major colors in a coloring unit is used to solve the problem of differences of coloring units between the two videotex services  相似文献

An IC-card is a memory card that can be substituted for existing magnetic-striped cards. It is suggested that the IC-card, which can store various information for telephone calls, will become a useful device in multifunction telephone sets because of its portability, security, and large memory capacity. The information that should be stored on an IC-card is discussed, and the practicality of creating personal telephone services by combining telephone services with the stored user information is addressed. An experimental telephone set with an IC-card reader/writer developed to verify feasibility is presented. This paper proposes that the end user's perception of an "ISDN service" should reflect'three interrelated ISDN aspects, namely:bulletISDN terminal capabilities,bulletISDN access capabilities, andbulletISDN network capabilities. Emphasis is placed on the ISDN terminal capabilities in supporting integrated services delivery of different levels to the end user (e.g., integrated bearer services and integrated teleservices delivery). Such a concept, integrated services delivery, is seen to suggest a useful framework for developing a wide range of possible ISDN commercial service/ product offerings. With the transformation of the Internet into a commercial infrastructure, the ability to provide differentiated services to users with widely varying requirements is rapidly becoming as important as meeting the massive increases in bandwidth demand. Hence, while deploying routers, switches, and transmission systems of ever increasing capacity, Internet service providers would also like to provide customer-specific differentiated services using the same shared network infrastructure. We describe router architectures that can support the two trends of rising bandwidth demand and rising demand for differentiated services. We focus on router mechanisms that can support differentiated services at a level not contemplated in proposals currently under consideration due to concern regarding their implementability at high speeds. We consider the types of differentiated services that service providers may want to offer and then discuss the mechanisms needed in routers to support them. We describe plausible implementations of these mechanisms (the scalability and performance of which have been demonstrated by implementation in a prototype system) and argue that it is technologically possible to considerably raise the level of differentiated services which service providers can offer their customers, and that it is not necessary to restrict differentiated services to rudimentary offerings even in very-high-speed networks  相似文献

The emergence of cloud computing is contributing to the integration of multiple services, in particular VoIP services. While the cloud has recently been used for performing security attacks targeting IP telephony, it also provides new opportunities for supporting the security of this service. In that context, we propose a risk management strategy for VoIP cloud based on security countermeasures that may be outsourced as services. We present the architecture of our solution and its components in the context of services implementing the SIP protocol. We describe the mathematical modelling supporting our approach and detail different treatment strategies for the application of countermeasures. Finally, we quantify the benefits and limits of these strategies based on extensive simulation results. When a countermeasure fails, these strategies allow us to maintain the risk level low at an additional cost of up to 7%, or to accept an additional risk of up to 12%. A key factor in the transition of the existing network to an intelligent network (IN) environment is the need to partition the network intelligence and to ensure the coexistence of the embedded switch services with the externally controlled services. If the network intelligence can be defined by entities (e.g. access control and routing, connection control, basic call control, feature control, etc.), then the issue is how to manage their distribution over the evolving network elements (NEs). The authors focus on the early phases of the IN, during a 1991-2 time frame, when these features must interwork with the existing features (e.g. those within the Centrex service). They provide an overview of the features interactions and arbitration policies prevailing in today's network. They then describe the framework for both single- and multinode networked features models. The issues of call control distributed over the NEs of the IN are treated as extensions to the concepts and interfaces needed to provide networked services like areawide Centrex and private virtual networks.
