广电网络运营商属于资金密集型企业,其采购种类繁多,采购成本往往可以达到企业运营成本的60%以上。如何在保证工程建设项目进度的前提下控制库存。已成为摆在项目管理和材料供应商面前的严峻挑战。本文通过分析VIM模式在广电企业中应用的可行性,说明了VMI模式是一种低库存下及时响应客户终端需求的物料供应模式,可以有效地控制建设项目现场和材料供应商的库存,从而降低整个供应链的整体库存费用。并对广电工程项目实施VMI模式涉及的效益风险等因素进行了分析。  相似文献

In the supply chain literature, little work has been done on modeling the propagation pattern of quality defects in supply chains. We quantitatively model a defect bullwhip effect in supply chains that can be addressed logistically by reducing time intervals between product deliveries. We explicitly consider the cause and effect of this defect bullwhip effect and demonstrate analytically that there is a strong incentive for practitioners to continuously reduce shipment size. We also consider production characteristics such as the frequency of supplier failure and stringency of the buyer's inspection process. Implications for managers are suggested.  相似文献

The most important task of the agile supply chain management (ASCM) is to reconfigure a supply chain based on the customers' requirement. Without more sophisticated cooperation and dynamic formation in an agile supply chain, it cannot be achieved for mass customization, rapid response and high quality services. Because of its great potential in supporting cooperation for the supply chain management, agent technology can carry out the cooperative work by inter-operation across networked human, organization and machines at the abstractive level in a computational system. A major challenge in building such a system is to coordinate the behavior of individual agent or a group of agents to achieve the individual and shared goals of the participants. Just-in-time purchasing (JITP), as a process technology, is an important component of supply chain management in managing inventory flows throughout the chain. Thus far, a detailed examination of JITP relating to firm performance has not been conducted. This study fills this void in the current literature by investigating the relationships among JITP techniques and their relation to firm performance. The hypotheses based on the research model presented are tested by using data from a broader cross-sectional mail study than is reported here. The sample in this study consists of 214 organizations operating in the US and encompasses various sizes of firms and a large variety of industries. Structural equation modeling is used to test the hypotheses. JITP techniques positively and directly related to firm performance are: (1) supplier value-added, a concept that melds supplier-buyer cooperation and increased supply of quality materials and (2) quantities delivered, which refers to frequent and timely delivery of supplied materials in the right quantities. The finding that top management commitment to JITP is directly or indirectly related to other techniques of JITP underscores the importance of leadership in implementing change in organizations.  相似文献

This paper is aimed at suggesting a methodology leading to effective supplier management processes utilizing information obtained from the supplier selection processes. For this methodology, we propose the supplier selection and management system (SSMS) that includes purchasing strategy system, supplier selection system, and supplier management system, and we explain how the SSMS is applied to a real supply chain. The methodology identifies the managerial criteria using information derived from supplier selection process and makes use of them in the supplier management process. These managerial criteria include key criteria that are major criteria required by the manufacturer for the best quality of parts from suppliers according to the character of each part, and weak criteria that show the shortcomings of selected suppliers as compared with alternative suppliers with regard to each criterion. The effectiveness of supplier management with managerial criteria was verified by a t-test and a correlation analysis with the example of a Korean air conditioner manufacturer  相似文献

Purchasing and supply leaders continually search for ways to improve the quality, delivery, and cost of production inputs. Their participation in these proactive supply chain activities can be a significant driver of purchasing and supply management's use of information technology (IT). Using a transaction cost analysis perspective, we surveyed purchasing and supply professionals at the director level or above from the Institute for Supply Management database to determine whether five common purchasing activities increase the need for purchasing professionals to use IT. The purchasing activities studied are (1) supplier alliance; (2) market monitoring; and (3) cost management (including cost analysis, total cost of ownership, and target costing). Of these activities, supplier alliances and cost analysis were found to significantly influence purchasing and supply management use of IT. In addition, industry effects were also discovered, where purchasing professionals in organizations that focus on producing high technology products and services utilize IT to a greater extent than purchasing professionals in traditional manufacturing and service organizations. The findings suggest that while there is evidence of a relationship between purchasing and supply management's participation in proactive activities and actual use of IT, more research is needed to understand how information and technology can better facilitate purchasing and supply management activities.  相似文献

Companies across industries have admired the success of Dell Computersin using modularity as part of a mass customization strategy to achieve build-to-order and a streamlined supply chain. Many companies are attempting to emulate this successful model, including the American automotive industry. This paper focuses on how the auto industry has been attempting to move to modularity, in part, motivated by a desire to build cars to order. This movement has led to major changes in supply chain practices based partly on imitation of successful keiretsu models in Japan and a move toward modules. This study finds significant impact of modularity on outsourcing, product development, and supply chain coordination based on interviews conducted with automakers and suppliers from 2000-2003. Based on our interviews, we observe that modularity has accompanied a major reorganization of the automotive supplier industry. We identify two major issues that appear to block U.S. automakers from gaining most of the advantages possible through modularity. First, most modularity activities appear to be primarily strategically cost reduction driven, leaving the potential of modularity for mass customization largely untapped. Second, the shift in industry reorganization has not been accompanied by changes in the supply chain infrastructure to encourage long-term partnerships.
