前言在周期永磁聚焦的行波管中为了减小电子注的脉动,希望尽量缩小周期。过去由于受永磁材料性能的限制,很难将周期缩得很短。自从钐钴磁钢问世以来,由于其优越的磁性能,使这一问题得到了突破。相应地对于聚焦系统的结构也提出了新的要求。我们曾在一个行波管上试验了周期为7.9毫米的平极靴周期永磁聚焦系统并获得成功。本文介绍此种结构的理论分析及由此所得到的工程计算公式,同时给出实验结果。 相似文献

周期永磁聚焦行波管特性最严重和最主要的限制是由于一些零散电子注的截获而在高频结构上引起的过量热耗散。电子注聚焦质量很大程度上决定于铝镍钴(Alnico)一类永久磁体的性能。采用稀土钴合金以后,周期磁聚焦行波管的特性将会有所突破。本文描述了一个用钐钴磁铁聚焦的行波管,在百分之十的工作比下得到2千瓦的输出功率。利用普通的螺旋线慢波结构,管子覆盖着3.5~10.6千兆赫超过倍频程的频率范围。在负载驻波比达10:1时仍能获得良好的工作。这类磁铁由稀土钴粉末合金经下列过程制成的:粉末配制,磁埸定向,压制,烧结和磁化。用于这类管子的磁铁,其磁能积已大于15兆高一奥。 相似文献

为进一步提升毫米波折叠波导行波管的输出功率,通过整体加工的工艺方法,将折叠波导慢波结构和周期永磁聚焦系统在母材上同时加工,形成一种集成极靴结构。基于圆形注电子光学系统,设计了E波段折叠波导行波管的集成极靴结构。利用三维电磁场模拟软件(CST)的微波工作室,设计并模拟了慢波结构的冷特性参数,并根据慢波结构尺寸设计周期永磁聚焦系统。通过电磁工作环境仿真软件(OPERA)对磁场进行仿真验证,最终整管粒子数值模拟(PIC)计算结果表明,在61~71 GHz频带内可获得大于1 kW的饱和输出功率。该集成极靴结构在提供强轴向磁场的同时,具有结构紧凑、散热性好等优点。 相似文献

The basic feature and design method of MMW TWTs electron optics are analyzed in this paper. With the increasing area convergence ratio of the electron gun in TWTs, the initial thermal velocity of electrons at cathode and the non-magnetic shielded effect can no longer be neglected. It brings new challenge for the design and simulation of MMW TWTs electron optics. A method of investigation the beam DC characteristics is described using particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation and incorporate electron beam optics model integrated electron gun with periodic permanent magnetic focusing system. The results of the study of the transport of electron beams in periodic magnetic fields are presented for the case when the distribution of the magnetic field is essentially different from a sinusoidal distribution in different parts of the drift channel. An easy-to-implement nonharmonic distribution of the magnetic field is found. This distribution ensures a small ripple of the envelope of a high-intensity electron beam. The results of application of combined periodic permanent-magnet (PPM) focusing systems in high-powered pulse travelingwave tubes (TWT) are presented for the TWTs having a slow-wave structure that is superposed with the pole pieces of the PPM focusing systems. 相似文献

A comprehensive Auxiliary Functions of Generalized Scattering Matrix (AFGSM) method is presented on the bandgap analysis of periodic structures encountered in many engineering applications. Proposed method accurately determines the bandgaps of periodic structures with symmetric and asymmetric unit cells. In order to test the feasibility of the proposed method, numerical results are compared with Eigenvalue method (EIV) and HFSS/CST frequency domain simulations. The validity and applicability of the presented method are demonstrated by analysing the bandgap characteristics of periodically dielectric loaded rectangular waveguides, photonic crystals, helix Slow Wave Structures (SWSs) of Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs) and excellent agreements on the simulation results are obtained. Bandgap analysis and design of different periodic structure problems can be effectively achieved using the proposed AFGSM method. 相似文献

提出了一种基于开槽介质基底的卷绕微带线慢波结构.由于金属曲折微带线印制在介质基底的半圆形槽中,这种卷绕微带线慢波结构非常适合圆形电子注行波管,从而使得采用这种新型慢波结构的行波管可以利用传统的周期永磁磁场进行聚焦.文章对提出的卷绕微带线慢波结构的色散特性,耦合阻抗,传输特性及注-波互作用进行了分析.和传统的平面微带线慢波结构相比,提出的卷绕微带线慢波结构具有更低的相速、更弱的色散和更高的耦合阻抗,从而使得其适合于低电压、宽频带、小型化的毫米波行波管.将同步电压及直流电流分别设置为6 550 V及0.1 A的情况下,基于该卷绕微带线慢波结构的Ka波段行波管在35 GHz处能够输出42.32 W的功率,对应增益为26.26 dB,且均匀聚焦磁场只需0.4 T. 相似文献

A computation technique for gain, efficiency and output power in broadband millimeter wave helix TWTs from their dimensions is described.
