为了能够在计算机关机或待机情况下有效切断外设电源,达到节能的目的,利用低功耗高性能的AVR mega48作为控制电路的核心,通过检测计算机待机电流的方法,设计了一种可靠性高、性能好的计算机智能节能插座,并对智能节能插座的控制原理进行了详细的分析。将计算机接到所设计的插座上测试,结果表明:智能插座能正确监测计算机的运行状态,并根据监测状态值有效的切断外设电源,同时具有定时开关的功能,实现了外设的零待机功率。 相似文献

This paper focuses on the quantitative analysis issue of the routing metrics tradeoff problem, and presents a Quantified Cost-Balanced overlay multicast routing scheme (QCost-Balanced) to the metric tradeoff problem between overlay path delay and access bandwidth at Multicast Server Nodes (MSN) for real-time applications over Internet. Besides implementing a dynamic priority to MSNs by weighing the size of its service clients for better efficiency, QCost-Balanced tradeoffs these two metrics by a unified tradeoff metric based on quantitative analysis. Simulation experiments demonstrate that the scheme achieves a better tradeoff gain in both two metrics, and effective performance in metric quantitative control. 相似文献

As multivendor, multitechnology networks are deployed in a carrier's network, a network operator must integrate these networks to have a unified control platform to lower operational costs and deliver customer-specified QoS. An intelligent network control middleware framework for multivendor networks is described in this article. The architectural framework is designed to control and manage next generation network elements as well as legacy telecom networks. The layers within the framework include mediation, control plane, network resource management, and application programmable interfaces. An independent, distributed control plane aims at service interoperability and network scalability. An experimental study on circuit provisioning using the proposed middleware framework is conducted on Sun Lab servers. The middleware performance results are reported. Experimentation architecture and metrics can be extended to a performance benchmark upon which the control plane products can be evaluated. 相似文献

virtual and physical worlds. In order to construct the future ubiquitous intelligent network, people are beginning to
rethink how mobile communication systems transmit and exploit intelligent information. This paper proposes a new
communication paradigm, called the Intellicise communication system: model-driven semantic communication.
Intellicise communication system is built on top of the traditional communication system and innovatively adds a new
feature dimension on top of the traditional source coding, which enables the communication system to evolve from
the traditional transmission of bit to the transmission of “model”. Like the semantic base (Seb) for semantic
communication, the model is considered as the new feature obtained from the joint source-channel coding. The sink
node can re-construct the original signal based on the received model and the encoded sequence. In addition, the
performance evaluation metrics and the implementation details of the Intellicise communication system are discussed
in this paper. Finally, preliminary results of model-driven image transmission in the Intellicise communication

We predict performance metrics of cloud services using statistical learning, whereby the behaviour of a system is learned from observations. Specifically, we collect device and network statistics from a cloud testbed and apply regression methods to predict, in real‐time, client‐side service metrics for video streaming and key‐value store services. Results from intensive evaluation on our testbed indicate that our method accurately predicts service metrics in real time (mean absolute error below 16% for video frame rate and read latency, for instance). Further, our method is service agnostic in the sense that it takes as input operating systems and network statistics instead of service‐specific metrics. We show that feature set reduction significantly improves the prediction accuracy in our case, while simultaneously reducing model computation time. We find that the prediction accuracy decreases when, instead of a single service, both services run on the same testbed simultaneously or when the network quality on the path between the server cluster and the client deteriorates. Finally, we discuss the design and implementation of a real‐time analytics engine, which processes streams of device statistics and service metrics from testbed sensors and produces model predictions through online learning. 相似文献

A wireless/mobile network supporting multilevel quality of service (QoS) is considered. In such a network, users or applications can tolerate a certain degree of QoS degradation. Bandwidth allocation to users can, therefore, be adjusted dynamically according to the underlying network condition so as to increase bandwidth utilization and service provider's revenue. However, arbitrary QoS degradation may be unsatisfactory or unacceptable to the users, hence resulting in their subsequent defection. Instead of only focusing on bandwidth utilization or blocking/dropping probability, two new user-perceived QoS metrics, degradation ratio and upgrade/degrade frequency, are proposed. A Markov model is then provided to derive these QoS metrics. Using this model, we evaluate the effects of adaptive bandwidth allocation on user-perceived QoS and show the existence of trade offs between system performance and user-perceived QoS. We also show how to exploit adaptive bandwidth allocation to increase system utilization (for the system administrator) with controlled QoS degradation (for the users). By considering various mobility patterns, the simulation results are shown to match our analytical results, demonstrating the applicability of our analytical model to more general cases. 相似文献

A queuing analytical model is presented to evaluate call-level and packet-level quality of service (QoS) metrics in the uplink of a voice/data cellular code division multiple access (CDMA) network. In this model, a threshold-based call admission control (CAC) is used to limit the number of admitted calls in a cell and also to prioritize handoff calls over new calls. The transmission rates for data calls can be adjusted to accommodate more voice and/or data calls while satisfying the minimum signal-to-interference ratio (SIR)/ transmission rate requirement. Also, automatic repeat request (ARQ)-based error control is used for improved reliability of data packets. Call-level performance measures for both voice and data calls and packet-level performance measures specifically for data calls can be obtained from the analytical model. The interdependencies among call-level and packet-level QoS metrics are investigated under different CAC, rate adaptation, and error control parameter settings. To this end, the level of users' satisfaction (or user utility) is formulated as a function of the QoS metrics and an optimization formulation is presented to obtain the local-optimal system parameters 相似文献
