MAPbI3 has been considered as a candidate for the active layer of perovskite solar cells in recent years. We proposed a device model to investigate the contribution of cuprous iodide (CuI) to MAPbI3 perovskite thin films to power conversion efficiency (PCE) and demonstrated that the dosage of CuI affects the grain size of thin films and the PCE. Through the results of the SEM analysis, we found that the grain boundaries of MAPbI3 perovskite films decreased with increases in the dosage of CuI and the grain size increased significantly from 164 nm ± 49 nm–299 nm ± 127 nm. In addition, the results of the PL measurement showed that the PL intensity decreased after addition of CuI to the MAPbI3 perovskite thin films, suggesting a reduction in the charge recombination. The XRD patterns indicated that the addition of CuI did not influence the main structure of the MAPbI3 perovskite. Interestingly, CuI plays a key role in the passivation of defects in MAPbI3 perovskite thin films, which can reduce non-radiative recombination and increase the fill factor and open-circuit voltage of the device. In this study, we adjusted the grain size and passivated the MAPbI3 thin film by controlling the dosage of CuI. We also increased the power conversion efficiency from 10% to 13%. This type of perovskite solar cell provided a simple, low cost preparation process for practical applications.  相似文献

The performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is extremely dependent on morphology and crystallinity of perovskite film. One of the most effective methods to achieve high performance perovskite solar cells has been to introduce additives that serve as dopants, crystallization or passivation agents. Herein a facile strategy by introducing methylammonium chloride (MACl) and polar solvent N,N-Dimethylformamide (DMF) as co-additives in two-step sequential method is proposed to realize high quality perovskite film. It is demonstrated that DMF facilitates methylammonium iodide (MAI) penetrating easily into PbI2 layer to form highly crystalized perovskite film with uniform morphology which is essential to achieve high VOC. While MACl induces MAPbI3 to crystallize in a pure α-phase and suppress non-photovoltaic phase, which guarantees high FF. Pure α-phase perovskite film with uniform morphology can be achieved by adopting MACl and DMF together and the corresponding solar cell illustrates a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 19.02% with substantially promoted durability. Moreover, A VOC as high as 1.181 V is succeeded for MAPbI3 based solar cell benefiting from the synergistic effect.  相似文献

Improving the stability of high-performance perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) against humid air poses a substantial challenge for their future development. To address this issue, here we have incorporated a trace amount of 4-fluorobenzylammonium iodide into MAPbI3 based PVSCs, and significantly improved the efficiency and stability. Through spectroscopy measurements, space charge limited current analysis, etc., we find that the incorporation of 4-fluorobenzylammonium iodide can passivate defects, improve charge transport, and thus, increase the power conversion efficiency (PCE) from 18.1% to 19.1%. In the meanwhile, the fluorinated benzene moiety confers the hydrophobic character to the perovskite film and device, and enhances the device stability against moisture. This work should have implication toward stable and high-performance PVSCs for commercialization.  相似文献

Low‐temperature‐processed inverted perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) attract increasing attention because they can be fabricated on both rigid and flexible substrates. For these devices, hole‐transporting layers (HTLs) play an important role in achieving efficient and stable inverted PVSCs by adjusting the anodic work function, hole extraction, and interfacial charge recombination. Here, the use of a low‐temperature (≤150 °C) solution‐processed ultrathin film of poly[(9,9‐dioctyl‐fluorenyl‐2,7‐diyl)‐co‐(4,4′‐(N‐(4‐secbutylphenyl) diphenylamine)] (TFB) is reported as an HTL in one‐step‐processed CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI3)‐based inverted PVSCs. The fabricated device exhibits power conversion efficiency (PCE) as high as 20.2% when measured under AM 1.5 G illumination. This PCE makes them one of the MAPbI3‐based inverted PVSCs that have the highest efficiency reported to date. Moreover, this inverted PVSC also shows good stability, which can retain 90% of its original efficiency after 30 days of storage in ambient air.  相似文献

The organic–inorganic halide CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI3) has been the most commonly used light absorber layer of perovskite solar cells (PSCs); however, solution‐processed MAPbI3 films usually suffer from random crystal orientation and high trap density, resulting in inferior power conversion efficiency (PCE) with open circuit voltage (Voc) being typically below 1.2 V for PSC devices. Herein, for the first time an imidazole sulfonate zwitterion, 4‐(1H‐imidazol‐3‐ium‐3‐yl)butane‐1‐sulfonate (IMS), is applied as a bifunctional additive in regular‐structure planar heterojunction PSC devices to regulate the crystal orientation, yielding highly ordered MAPbI3 film and passivating the trap states of the film. Such a dual effect of IMS is fulfilled via coordination interactions between the sulfonate moiety of IMS with the Pb2+ ion and the electrostatic interaction between the imidazole of IMS with the I ion of MAPbI3. As a result, under a optimized IMS doping ratio of 0.5 wt%, the PSC device exhibits a significant increase in PCE from 18.77% to 20.84%, with suppressed current–voltage hysteresis and promoted ambient stability. Moreover, a high Voc of 1.208 V is achieved under a higher IMS doping ratio of 1.2 wt%, which is the highest Voc for regular‐structure MAPbI3 planar PSC devices based on TiO2 electron transport layer.  相似文献

Thermal stability is a critical criterion for assessing the long-term stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Here, it is shown that un-encapsulated co-evaporated MAPbI3 (TE_MAPbI3) PSCs demonstrate remarkable thermal stability even in an n-i-p structure that employs Spiro-OMeTAD as hole transport material (HTM). TE_MAPbI3 PSCs maintain over ≈95% and ≈80% of their initial power conversion efficiency (PCE) after 1000 and 3600 h respectively under continuous thermal aging at 85 °C. TE_MAPbI3 PSCs demonstrate remarkable structural robustness, absence of pinholes, or significant variation in grain sizes, and intact interfaces with the HTM, upon prolonged thermal aging. Here, the main factors driving TE_MAPbI3 stability are assessed. It is demonstrated that the excellent TE_MAPbI3 thermal stability is related to the perovskite growth process leading to a compact and almost strain-stress-free film. On the other hand, un-encapsulated PSCs with the same architecture, but incorporating solution-processed MAPbI3 or Cs0.05(MA0.17FA0.83)0.95Pb(I0.83Br0.17)3 as active layers, show a complete PCE degradation after 500 h under the same thermal aging condition. These results highlight that the control of the perovskite growth process can substantially enhance the PSCs thermal stability, besides the chemical composition. The TE_MAPbI3 impressive long-term thermal stability features the potential for field-operating conditions.  相似文献

The grain boundaries (GBs)/surface defects within perovskite film directly impede the further improvement of photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE) and stability of planar perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Herein, 3D phytic acid (PA) and phytic acid dipotassium (PAD) with polydentate are explored to synchronously passivate the defects of perovskite absorber directly in multiple spatial directions. The strong electron-donating groups ( H2PO4) in the PA molecule afford six anchor sites to bind firmly with uncoordinated Pb2+ at the GBs/surface and modulate perovskite crystallization, thus enhancing the quality of perovskite film. Particularly, PAD containing an additional (K→PO) push–pull structure promotes the dominant coordination of phosphate group (PO) with Pb2+ and passivates halide anion defects due to the complexation of potassium ions (K+) with iodide ions (I-). Consequently, the PAD-complexed PSCs deliver a champion PCE of 23.18%, which is remarkably higher than that of the control device (19.94%). Meanwhile, PAD-complexed PSCs exhibit superior moisture and thermal stability, remaining 79% of their initial PCE after 1000 h under continuous illumination, while the control device remain only 48% of their PCE after 1000 h. This work provides important insights into designing multifunctional 3D passivators for the purpose of simultaneously enhancing the efficiency and stability of devices.  相似文献

The control of film morphology is crucial in achieving high‐performance perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Herein, the crystals of the perovskite films are reconstructed by post‐treating the MAPbI3 devices with methylamine gas, yielding a homogeneous nucleation and crystallization of the perovskite in the triple mesoscopic inorganic layers structured PSCs. As a result, a uniform, compact, and crystalline perovskite layer is obtained after the methylamine gas post‐treatment, yielding high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 15.26%, 128.8% higher than that of the device before processing. More importantly, this post‐treatment process allows the regeneration of the photodegraded PSCs via the crystal reconstruction and the PCE can recover to 91% of the initial value after two cycles of the photodegradation‐recovery process. This simple method allows for the regeneration of perovskite solar cells on site without reconstruction or replacing any components, thus prolonging the service life of the perovskite solar cells and distinguishing from any other photovoltaic devices in practice.  相似文献

The high-quality perovskite film with few defects plays an important role in the power conversion efficiency (PCE) and long-term stability of perovskite solar cells. Here, an efficient strategy is proposed to eliminate Pb0 and passivate Pb2+ simultaneously by employing a stable polyoxometalate-based material CoW12@MIL-101(Cr) in the precursor solution of perovskite. The controllable oxidation ability of CoW12 is optimized through the interaction with metal–organic frameworks, resulting in a doped perovskite film with regular morphology, large grain size, and low defects density. The solvent effects and formation of intermediate materials in the precursor solution are further investigated by an in situ thermogravimetry-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis. In addition, the champion doped-device showed enhanced PCE to 21.39% and excellent stability, maintaining 85% and 89% of the original PCE after heating at 85 °C in N2 atmosphere and stored in ambient conditions (25 °C, 40% humidity) for 1000 h, respectively.  相似文献

Nanocomposite buffer layer based on metal oxide and polymer is merging as a novel buffer layer for organic solar cells, which combines the high charge carrier mobility of metal oxide and good film formation properties of polymer. In this work, a nanocomposite of zinc oxide and a commercialized available polyethylenimine (PEI) was developed and used as the cathode buffer layer (CBL) for the inverted organic solar cells and p-i-n heterojunction perovskite solar cells. The cooperation of PEI in nano ZnO offers a good film forming ability of the composite material, which is an advantage in device fabrication. In addition, power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the ZnO:PEI CBL based device was also improved when compared to that of ZnO-only and PEI-only devices. The highest PCE of P3HT:PC61BM and PTB7-Th:PC61BM devices reached to 3.57% and 8.16%, respectively. More importantly, there is no obvious device performance loss with the increase of the layer thickness of ZnO:PEI CBL to 60 nm in organic solar cells, which is in contrast to the PEI based devices, whose device performance decreases dramatically when the PEI layer thickness is higher than 6 nm. Such a nano composite material is also applicable in inverted heterojunction perovskite solar cells. A PCE of 11.76% was achieved for the perovskite solar cell with a thick ZnO:PEI CBL (150 nm) CBL, which is around 1.71% higher than that of the reference cell without CBL, or with ZnO CBL. In addition, stability of the organic and perovskite solar cells having ZnO:PEI CBL was also found to be improved in comparison with that of PEI based device.  相似文献

Metal halide perovskite single crystals are promising for diverse optoelectronic applications due to their outstanding properties. In comparison to the bulk, the crystal surface suffers from high defect density and is moisture sensitive; however, surface modification strategies of perovskite single crystals are relatively deficient. Herein, solar cells based on methylammonium lead triiodide (MAPbI3) thin single crystals are selected as a prototype to improve single-crystal perovskite devices by surface modification. The surface trap passivation and protection against moisture of MAPbI3 thin single crystals are achieved by one bifunctional molecule 3-mercaptopropyl(dimethoxy)methylsilane (MDMS). The sulfur atom of MDMS can coordinate with bare Pb2+ of MAPbI3 single crystals to reduce surface defect density and nonradiative recombination. As a result, the modified devices show a remarkable efficiency of 22.2%, which is the highest value for single-crystal MAPbI3 solar cells. Moreover, MDMS modification mitigates surface ion migration, leading to enhanced reverse-bias stability. Finally, the cross-link of silane molecules forms a protective layer on the crystal surface, which results in enhanced moisture stability of both materials and devices. This work provides an effective way for surface modification of perovskite single crystals, which is important for improving the performance of single-crystal perovskite solar cells, photodetectors, X-ray detectors, etc.  相似文献

Recent progress of vapor-deposited perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has proved the feasibility of this deposition method in achieving promising photovoltaic devices. For the first time, it is probed the versatility of the co-evaporation process in creating perovskite layers customizable for different device architectures. A gradient of composition is created within the perovskite films by tuning the background chamber pressure during the growth process. This method leads to co-evaporated MAPbI3 film with graded Fermi levels across the thickness. Here it is proved that this growth process is beneficial for p-i-n PSCs as it can guarantee a favorable energy alignment at the charge selective interfaces. Co-evaporated p-i-n PSCs, with different hole transporting layers, consistently achieve power conversion efficiency (PCE) over 20% with a champion value of 20.6%, one of the highest reported to date. The scaled-up p-i-n PSCs, with active areas of 1 and 1.96 cm2, achieved the record PCEs of 19.1% and 17.2%, respectively, while the flexible PSCs reached a PCE of 19.3%. Unencapsulated PSCs demonstrate remarkable long-term stability, retaining ≈90% of their initial PCE when stored in ambient for 1000 h. These PSCs also preserve over 80% of their initial PCE after 500 h of thermal aging at 85 °C.  相似文献

A combination of high‐resolution mapping techniques is developed to probe the homogeneity and defects of mesoscopic perovskite solar cells. Three types of cells using a one‐step infiltration process with methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI3) or 5‐ammoniumvaleric acid‐MAPbI3 solutions, or two‐step process with MAPbI3 solution are investigated. The correlation between photoluminescence, photocurrent, electroluminescence, and Raman maps gives a detailed understanding of the different infiltration mechanisms, electronic contact at interfaces, and effect on local photocurrent for the cells. The one‐step MAPbI3 cell has very limited infiltration of the perovskite solution which results in poor device performance. High loading of the mesopores of the TiO2 and ZrO2 scaffold is observed when using 5‐ammoniumvaleric acid, but some micrometer‐sized non‐infiltrated areas remain due to dense carbon flakes hindering perovskite infiltration. The two‐step cell has a complex morphology with features having either beneficial or detrimental effects on the local photocurrent. The results not only provide key insights to achieving better infiltration and homogeneity of the perovskite film in mesoporous devices but can also aid further work on planar devices to develop efficient extraction layers. Moreover, this multi‐mapping approach allows the correlation of the local photophysical properties of full perovskite devices, which would be challenging to obtain by other techniques.  相似文献

Despite being a promising candidate for next‐generation photovoltaics, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) exhibit limited stability that hinders their practical application. In order to improve the humidity stability of PSCs, herein, a series of ionic liquids (ILs) “1‐alkyl‐4‐amino‐1,2,4‐triazolium” (termed as RATZ; R represents alkyl chain, and ATZ represents 4‐amino‐1,2,4‐triazolium) as cations are designed and used as additives in methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI3) perovskite precursor solution, obtaining triazolium ILs‐modified PSCs for the first time (termed as MA/RATZ PSCs). As opposed to from traditional methods that seek to improve the stability of PSCs by functionalizing perovskite film with hydrophobic molecules, humidity‐stable perovskite films are prepared by exploiting the self‐assembled monolayer (SAM) formation of water‐soluble triazolium ILs on a hydrophilic perovskite surface. The mechanism is validated by experimental and theoretical calculation. This strategy means that the MA/RATZ devices exhibit good humidity stability, maintaining around 80% initial efficiency for 3500 h under 40 ± 5% relative humidity. Meanwhile, the MA/RATZ PSCs exhibit enhanced thermal stability and photostability. Tuning the molecule structure of the ILs additives achieves a maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 20.03%. This work demonstrates the potential of using triazolium ILs as additives and SAM and molecular design to achieve high performance PSCs.  相似文献

3D organic–inorganic lead halide perovskites have shown great potential in efficient photovoltaic devices. However, the low stability of the 3D perovskite layer and random arrangement of the perovskite crystals hinder its commercialization road. Herein, a highly oriented 2D@3D ((AVA)2PbI4@MAPbI3) perovskite structure combining the advantages of both 2D and 3D perovskite is fabricated through an in situ route. The highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 18.0% is observed from a 2D@3D perovskite solar cell (PSC), and it also shows significantly enhanced device stability under both inert (90% of initial PCE for 32 d) and ambient conditions (72% of initial PCE for 20 d) without encapsulation. The high efficiency of 18.0% and nearly twofold improvement of device stability in ambient compared with pure 3D PSCs confirm that such 2D@3D perovskite structure is an effective strategy for high performance and increasing stability and thus will enable the timely commercialization of PSCs.  相似文献

All-inorganic perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have been the research focus due to their high thermal stability and proper band gap for tandem solar cells. However, their power conversion efficiency (PCE) is still lower than that of organic-inorganic hybrid PSCs. Herein, a sacrificing dye (Rhodamine B isothiocyanate, RBITC) is developed to regulate the growth of perovskite film by in situ release of ethylammonium cations, isothiocyanate anions and benzoic acid molecules upon annealing and illumination. The ethylammonium cations can efficiently passivate surface defects. The isothiocyanate anions incorporate with uncoordinated Pb to regulate the crystallization process. The benzoic acid molecules facilitate the nucleation of the perovskite crystals. Especially, the illumination can accelerate the release of these beneficial ions/molecules to improve the quality of perovskite films further. After optimization with RBITC, a high open circuit voltage (VOC) of 1.24 V and a champion PCE of 20.95% are obtained, which are among the highest Voc and PCE values of CsPbI3 PSCs. Accordingly, the operational stability of the PSC devices is significantly improved. The results provide an efficient chemical strategy to regulate the formation of perovskite films in whole crystallization process for high performance all-inorganic PSCs.  相似文献

Sn-based perovskite material has been selected as a strong contender for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) application compared with Pb-based perovskite, due to its more suitable bandgap and excellent optoelectronic characteristics. However, the poor quality of Sn-based perovskite film and the oxidation of Sn2+ still lead to the unsatisfactory efficiency and instability of PSCs. In our work, a type of ligand “Trifluoroethylamine iodide (3FEAI)” was developed to achieve the crystallization regulation of FASnI3 perovskite films, which could effectively improve the film quality while restricting the film defects. Moreover, it is found that the short-chain 3FEAI exhibited the better assistance of charge transport effect compared with the conventional ligand PEAI, which further contributed to the efficiency of PSCs. At last, with the introduction of 3FEAI, the prepared device shows the considerable efficiency (9.34%) and long-term stability (~10% PCE loss after 500 h of aging).  相似文献

With the impressive record power conversion efficiency (PCE) of perovskite solar cells exceeding 23%, research focus now shifts onto issues closely related to commercialization. One of the critical hurdles is to minimize the cell‐to‐module PCE loss while the device is being developed on a large scale. Since a solution‐based spin‐coating process is limited to scalability, establishment of a scalable deposition process of perovskite layers is a prerequisite for large‐area perovskite solar modules. Herein, this paper reports on the recent progress of large‐area perovskite solar cells. A deeper understanding of the crystallization of perovskite films is indeed essential for large‐area perovskite film formation. Various large‐area coating methods are proposed including blade, slot‐die, evaporation, and post‐treatment, where blade‐coating and gas post‐treatment have so far demonstrated better PCEs for an area larger than 10 cm2. However, PCE loss rate is estimated to be 1.4 × 10?2% cm?2, which is 82 and 3.5 times higher than crystalline Si (1.7 × 10?4% cm?2) and thin film technologies (≈4 × 10?3% cm?2) respectively. Therefore, minimizing PCE loss upon scaling‐up is expected to lead to PCE over 20% in case of cell efficiency of >23%.  相似文献

The optoelectronic properties of perovskite films are closely related to the film quality, so depositing dense, uniform, and stable perovskite films is crucial for fabricating high‐performance perovskite solar cells (PSCs). CsPbI2Br perovskite, prized for its superb stability toward light soaking and thermal aging, has received a great deal of attention recently. However, the air instability and poor performance of CsPbI2Br PSCs are hindering its further progress. Here, an approach is reported for depositing high‐quality CsPbI2Br films via the Lewis base adducts PbI2(DMSO) and PbBr2(DMSO) as precursors to slow the crystallization of the perovskite film. This process produces CsPbI2Br films with large‐scale crystalline grains, flat surfaces, low defects, and long carrier lifetimes. More interestingly, PbI2(DMSO) and PbBr2(DMSO) adducts could significantly improve the stability of CsPbI2Br films in air. Using films prepared by this technique, a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 14.78% is obtained in CsPbI2Br PSCs, which is the highest PCE value reported for CsPbI2Br‐based PSCs to date. In addition, the PSCs based on DMSO adducts show an extended operational lifetime in air. These excellent performances indicate that preparing high‐quality inorganic perovskite films by using DMSO adducts will be a potential method for improving the performance of other inorganic PSCs.  相似文献
