Rare earths-doped oxyfluoride glasses based on germanium oxide and lead fluoride were prepared from commercial raw materials. The glasses with general composition of 50GeO2-(50-x-y)PbO-yPbF2-xLnF3 (Ln=Pr3+-Yb3+), contained different concentrations of optically active dopants (x=0.2 mol.% and 2 mol.%) and PbF2 (y≤15 mol.%). The differential thermal analysis (DTA) was used to determine both thermal characteristic and thermal stability properties of the glasses in the function of the kind of dopant, its concentration, and a glass composition. Characteristic glass temperatures such as glass transition temperature (Tg), glass crystallization temperature (Tc) and temperature corresponding to the maximum of the crystallization rate (Tpc) were evaluated. On the basis of obtained results, the thermal stabilities of glasses under study were evaluated using various thermal stability criteria (Dietzel factor ?T, Saad-Poulain factors H' and S). It was found that the increase in rare earth fluoride contents influenced thermal characteristics when the characteristic temperatures of the individual glass was shifted towards higher values. The effect of the PbF2 content and the kind of rare earth impurity on the glass stability was observed. Absorption spectra of lanthanide-doped glasses were measured at room temperature and used to determine the phenomenological intensity parameters Ωt and next, to estimate radiative properties of lanthanide ions in this matrix. Radiative transition probabilities of luminescent states of Ln3+, branching ratios and radiative lifetimes were determined. The variation of the Ωt along the lanthanide series was presented and discussed.  相似文献

The amount of Cu coating by chemical plating was investigated based on quadratic regression orthogonal experimental design being adapted to the variation law of temperature,pH value and Ni2+concentration,and the relevant regression equation was expressed as y=2.1609+0.5295×10-3T2-0.0342P2-0.0265N2+0.0023TP+0.0020TH+0.0199PN-0.0959T+0.3814P-0.2073N.The results showed that the deposition rate augmented with the increasing in temperature,pH value and Ni2+concentration.The experimental parameters of the optimal coating were temperature 75 ℃,pH value 8.5 and Ni2+concentration 1.2 g/L.The electrochemical tests indicated that the cycle stability increased from 60.66% to 75.58%,indicating that the treated alloy exhibited better corrosion resistance.  相似文献

They have been successfully used as medicine and probes in luminescent resonance energy transfer (LRET) for bioassays, as well as reagents for diagnosis in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). A model experiment investigating entrapment of inclusions and bubbles on the solidified shell was performed using molten steel,and the conditions for inclusion and bubble entrapment and mechanism of entrapment were studied.The results were applied to the flow behavior in the casting mold of a continuous caster.At the solid-liquid interface,entrapment of inclusions is greatly reduced by the existence of a low velocity flow,e.g.,0.05m/s.The above-mentioned interfacial flow velocity dependency of inclusion entrapment is considered to be largely influenced by changes in the thickness of the concentration boundary layer,which depend on the interfacial flow velocity.Specifically,bubbles and inclusions which enter the concentration boundary layer are drawn to the solid-liquid interface by a suction force which is several orders larger than the Saffman’s force.In addition to the above-mentioned suction force,the so-called cleaning effect is determined by fluid-dynamic forces such as drag force,etc.which act on particles,and furthermore,by resident time of particles at the solid-liquid interface,which depends on the solidification rate.In a FC mold with a 2-stage electromagnetic brake,flotation of bubbles entrained in the jet flow from the nozzle is accelerated with the large DC magnetic field.This is attributed to the braking effect of the DC field on the nozzle jet and the upward flow by the buoyancy of the bubbles.As a result,the interfacial flow velocity can be normalized by increasing the strength of the magnetic field,and entrapment of large bubbles and inclusions can be reduced.  相似文献

In the present paper,controlled rolling and cooling processing was conducted by using a laboratory hot rolling mill.The influence of different processing parameters on the mechanical properties of low carbon cold forging steel was investigated.The results show that the faster cooling after the deformation (especially in low temperature rolling conditions) leads to the refinement of the ferrite grain.The specimen exhibits very good mechanical properties owing to the finer ferrite grains.The pearlite morphologies can also affect the mechanical properties of low carbon cold forging steel.The mechanical properties increase with decreasing final cooling temperature within the range from 650℃ to 570 ℃ due to the finer interlamellar spacing of pearlite colony.The mechanical properties of the specimens with fast cooling after the conventional rolling are not only better than those of the specimens with slow cooling after low temperature rolling,but also almost similar to those of the specimens with fast cooling after low temperature rolling.It is suggested that fast cooling after high temperature rolling (the conventional rolling) process would be of important industrial value.  相似文献

Model experiments with low melting point liquid metals are an important tool to investigate the flow structure and related transport processes in melt flows relevant for metallurgical applications.We present the new experimental facility LIMMCAST for modelling the continuous casting process of steel using the alloy SnBi at temperatures of200-400℃.The parameters of the facility and the dimensions of the test sections will be given,and the possibilities for flow investigations in tundish,submerged entry nozzle and mould will be discussed.In addition,the smaller set-up Mini-LIMMCAST will be presented,which works with the room-temperature liquid alloy GaInSn.The main value of cold metal laboratory experiments consists in the capabilities to obtain quantitative flow measurements with a reasonable spatial and temporal resolution.New ultrasonic and electromagnetic techniques for measuring the velocity in liquid metal flows came up during the last decade allowing for a satisfying characterisation of flow quantities in the considered temperature range up to 400℃.First results from LIMMCAST and Mini-LIMMCAST will be presented covering the following phenomena:fully contacfless electromagnetic tomography of the flow in the mould,flow monitoring by a multitude of ultrasonic sensors,and analysis of the flow in the mould under the influence of an electromagnetic brake:intensification of the flow turbulence contrary to the expected flow damping,injection of argon bubbles through the stopper rod:occurrence of pressure oscillations.  相似文献

The elasto-plastic stress/strain behavior of an automobile rear axle was analyzed by three-dimension finite element method.Based on the stress in critical area where fatigue crack appears,the fatigue life of the welded structure was predicted using the critical shear stress plane criterion.To improve the fatigue property of the rear-axle,the welding-seam was strengthened by both pellet spraying and plasma melting,and evident improvement was experimentally illustrated.Based on the viewpoint that a complex component is also a system in the respect of reliability assessment and statistical dependence among component failures(i.e.the so call"common cause failure")is inherent for system under stochastic load environment,a system-level load-strength interference model was presented and the reliability of the rear axle was estimated as a system,instead of a component.  相似文献

Computational Analysis of Masonry Structures with a Funicular Model   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This paper presents a computational approach for the assessment of masonry structures based on the well known analogy between the equilibrium of arches and that of hanging strings or cables working in tension. According to the analogy, the hanging strings model the inverted shape of the equilibrium lines (or thrust lines) describing the locus of the equilibrium forces acting across the sections of the arch. The approach proposed combines two developments. First, a new cable element is proposed to numerically model the strings used to describe the equilibrium lines. The formulation proposed, obtained as a modification of the conventional equations for inextensible cables, is based on an exact analytical derivation. Compared to other available numerical approaches, it has the advantage of ensuring the exact equilibrium of the cable net after deformation. Second, complementary algorithms are proposed for the assessment of the strength of masonry structures by the application of the limit theorems of plasticity (static approach). These algorithms are intended to find optimized solutions complying with the so-called safe (or lower-bound) and uniqueness theorems. Two examples of application are described to illustrate the accuracy of the method and its ability to handle masonry structural systems.  相似文献

The flow past two-dimensional (2D) channel cavities along with the removal of neutrally buoyant or dense miscible contaminants introduced instantaneously inside the cavity are studied using eddy resolving techniques. In the simulations, the incoming boundary layer is laminar and the flow is observed not to transition to turbulence as it is convected over the cavity. As for these flow conditions the main coherent structures in the separated shear layer over the cavity are quasi-dimensional, 2D simulations are performed. It is found that the mechanism of removal of the contaminant is very different between the neutrally buoyant and buoyant cases. In the neutrally buoyant case the contaminant is purged from the cavity mostly due to the interactions between the vortices shed in the separated shear layer with the main recirculation eddies inside the cavity and with the trailing edge corner. In the simulations in which a dense contaminant is introduced inside the cavity, after the initial stages of the mass exchange process, the main phenomenon is the presence of a large amplitude internal wave motion which interacts with a strong cavity vortex situated near the trailing edge corner in between the shear layer and the density interface. The density variation across this oscillatory interface is strong. Through this interaction wisps of denser contaminant are extracted from the region beneath the density interface, before being ejected from the cavity by the separated shear layer vortices. The values of the global mass exchange coefficients for the different phases of the purging process are estimated from simple dead-zone models. As expected, the purging process is delayed in the case in which the density of the contaminant is larger than the one of the carrying fluid.  相似文献

Corrosion-induced cracks in reinforced concrete (RC) structures degrade the stiffness of the cover concrete. The stiffness degradation is mainly caused by the softening in the stress-strain relation in the cracked concrete. Limited efforts have been made to model the cracking and the corresponding effects on the cover concrete, despite of its importance in assessing and modeling the behavior of RC structures. This paper proposes a stiffness degradation factor to model the stiffness degradation of the cover concrete subject to cracking. The proposed factor is computed in terms of the cracking strain corresponding to the maximum opening of the concrete cracks based on an energy principle applied to a fractured RC structure. The time to cracking of the cover concrete is then determined as the time from the corrosion initiation needed by the crack front to reach the outer surface of the cover concrete. The proposed stiffness degradation factor and the method to compute the time to cracking are illustrated through two numerical examples. The times to cracking of the cover concrete that are predicted using the proposed method are in agreement with the measured values from laboratory experiments.  相似文献

This paper describes a successful failure analysis to determine the causes of loss of backfill sand from a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall, and cracks on the concrete approach slabs on top of it. The Texas Department of Transportation was concerned that the cracks on the approach slabs may be related to the excessive loss of backfill from behind the MSE walls, and that the embankment structure may be unsafe due to potential voids under the concrete slab. Several cubic meters of sugar sand had washed out of the wall and deposited adjacent to the paneled walls. A series of destructive and nondestructive tests were carried out to determine the causes of the problems. It was found that the cracking of the approach slab and the loss of backfill were unrelated. Suggestions for resolving both problems were made based on this study.  相似文献

A modified method is proposed for predicting the lateral displacements of the ground caused by installation of soil-cement columns. The method is a combination of the original method derived on the basis of the theory of cylindrical cavity expansion in an infinite medium and a correction function introduced to consider the effect of the limited length of the columns. The correction function has been developed by comparing the solutions obtained using the spherical and the cylindrical cavity expansion theories for a single column installation. Both the original and the modified methods have been applied to a case history reported in the literature, which involves clay soils, and the predictions are compared with field measurements. The advantage of the modified method over the original method is demonstrated. Finally, the modified method has also been applied to a case history involving loose sandy ground, and the calculations show that the method can also be used for this type of soil provided that appropriate consideration is given to the volumetric strain occurring in the plastic zone of soil surrounding the soil-cement columns.  相似文献

This paper presents the use of the trial load method and the block element method with elastoviscoplastic discontinuities for analysis of arch dams. The arch dam is considered as an arch-cantilever system and the foundation as a block element system. With the displacement compatibility condition at the contact surface of the dam and the foundation (including abutment), the governing equations of the arch dam and foundation are established. These methods are used for the analysis of the double curvature arch dam with complex geology conditions of the Xiaowan Hydroelectric Project in China. The deformation and stress states in both the dam body and the foundation are determined. Furthermore, the stability safety factors of the foundation and the abutment are calculated at the same time, which allows for an optimal design of the arch dam considering the strength, the deformation and the stability of the dam and foundation.  相似文献

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) regulations require the capture of spills from liquid tanks containing hazardous chemicals by using a secondary containment system. Compacted clay or geomembrane liners are commonly used in secondary containment systems, but they are cumbersome when used in conjunction with existing liquid tanks because of pipeline networks surrounding the tanks. This study evaluates the formation of hydraulic barriers for secondary containment through the permeation of colloidal silica grout. A simplified infiltration model is presented to predict the downward movement of the colloidal silica grout into a soil layer, considering the time-dependent increase in dynamic viscosity of the colloidal silica for different concentrations of an electrolyte accelerator. Because the simplified infiltration model cannot predict the soil-grout interaction or the permeation of the colloidal silica by fingering, its results were calibrated by using the observations from a large-scale column test involving the permeation of colloidal silica into sand. The predicted position of the wetting front was found to match that of the experiment when the parameter governing the change in viscosity of the colloidal silica was increased by a factor of 30. The infiltration model calibrated with observations from column infiltration experiments provides a simple approach to the design of the secondary containment systems using permeation of colloidal silica.  相似文献

为提高张力辊辊面性能,分别采用在辊面电镀硬铬、HVOF喷涂WC-12Co、HVAF喷涂WC-12Co三种工艺对张力辊辊面进行强化处理,并对随辊试样进行分析。发现镀铬层内部存在一定的微裂纹,硬度达到900HV0.3;HVOF制备的涂层孔隙率为2.3%,涂层硬度1 100HV0.3;HVAF制备的涂层孔隙率为0.6%,涂层硬度1 400HV0.3;三种工艺制备的最终辊面粗糙度Ra均能满足上机使用要求,镀铬辊使用6个月后,辊面粗糙度下降严重,而WC涂层辊面的粗糙度保持相对稳定。  相似文献

In this paper, the basic methodology for the fatigue reliability assessment of randomly vibrating multidegree-of-freedom systems is presented within the coupled response-degradation model. The fatigue process in the system components is quantified by the fatigue crack growth equations which—via the stress range—are coupled with the system response. Simultaneously, the system dynamics is affected by fatigue process via its stiffness degradation so that it provides the actual stress values to the fatigue growth equation. In addition to the general coupled response-degradation analysis, its special case of noncoupled fatigue crack growth is treated as well for the wide-band stationary applied stress by the use of its first four spectral moments and the approximate, empirically motivated, Dirlik’s probability distribution for the stress range. Both, the general analysis and the illustrating exemplary problems elaborated in the paper provide the route to the fatigue reliability estimation in complex–hierarchical vibratory systems under random loading.  相似文献
