Spiropyran photochromic materials have been widely studied in military camouflage, optical data storage, information encryption, and fashion ornaments. The non-photochromism and low endurance of solid spiropyran make the challenges of their application. Photochromic microcapsules with a butyl acetate solution of spiropyran as core and polyurethane as shell are synthesized via interfacial polymerization. The optimized polyurethane photochromic microcapsules are prepared with a Tween 20 concentration of 4 wt%, core–shell ratio of 16:5, and spiropyran concentration of 0.40 wt%. Polyurethane photochromic microcapsules with a mean particle diameter of 0.33 μm are obtained. The morphology shows smooth spheres, and the core–shell structure is observed. Butyl acetate in the microcapsule core does not evaporate at a temperature lower than 218.01°C as the microcapsule shell insulates heat. The polyurethane photochromic microcapsules are mixed with adhesive, thickener, and water into a paste and screen-printed on cotton fabric. The printed fabric shows the ΔE of 17.56, 11.93, and 6.96 after 80s irradiation with the xenon lamp intensity of 102, 68, and 34 mW cm−2. The light stability of the photochromic fabric is excellent as ΔE decreases about 8.28% after 20 cycles of UV-Vis irradiation. 相似文献

Luminescent readout capability for photochromic materials plays a critical role in 3D optical data storage applications, especially for inorganic photochromic materials in the solid‐state form. In our previous studies, we found that the luminescent readout capability can be improved using two or multiple‐photon excited luminescent mode (upconversion), which can effectively decrease the destruction degree of the excitation energies to the stored information during the luminescent “reading” process. However, the luminescent readout performance is unsatisfactory owing to the absence of nondestructive luminescence readout capability. Herein, we report a new solid‐state photochromic material with excellent upconversion readout capability: Ho3+/Yb3+ codoped (K,Na)NbO3. Upon 407 nm light irradiation, the luminescent switching contrast (ΔRt) is up to 78%. Particularly, the materials almost have no any re‐absorption to 980 nm light, exhibiting extremely low destruction to information recording points. The luminescent readout intensity retains 96% after constant 980 nm irradiation for 4 minutes at a high pumping power of 1W, which is superior to our previously reported results (Er/Yb codoped Bi2.5Na0.5Nb2O9 materials). This work would help to further develop new inorganic photochromic materials with high performance to satisfy the requirements for optical storage devices. 相似文献

At present, for inorganic photochromic materials, the single function limits their application level in the field of optical storage and anti-counterfeiting. Generally, the reversible modulation of photoluminescence is achieved through a photochromic process, thereby improving the ability of the photochromic material to store information. Here, we designed a Sm3+ doped perovskite oxide (SrZrO3:Sm3+) inorganic photochromic material. Combined with its red photoluminescence and photochromic properties, it can realize dual information storage and recognition functions. The fluorescence regulation function is realized by the doping of Sm3+, which is conducive to the application in the direction of optical switch. The mechanism of photoluminescence and photochromism was studied. Finally, a flexible film with SrZrO3:Sm3+ material was fabricated to demonstrate rewritable optical recording and storage and reading of dual optical information. 相似文献
