CuO-doped Ba(Zr0.05Ti0.95)O3 (BZT) ceramics were prepared using conventional solid state reaction method, and their structure and electrical properties were investigated. It was found that a small amount of CuO could lower the sintering temperature significantly and make their microstructure more densified than pure BZT. The ceramics with 1.2 mol% CuO, sintered at 1250 °C, showed excellent piezoelectric properties with d33~320 pC/N and kp=44%. The sintering temperature was decreased by 150 °C than that for pure BZT ceramics while showing comparable piezoelectric properties. Moreover, the influence of sintering temperature on the optimally 1.2 mol% CuO-doped BZT ceramics was studied. With the temperature change, different patterns of crystal growth were observed in the doped BZT ceramics. When the sintering temperature increased from 1200 °C to 1350 °C, the patterns of normal–abnormal–normal grain growth were changed accordingly.  相似文献

Bi2O3 was selected as liquid phase sintering aid to lower the sintering temperature of La(Mg0.5Ti0.5)O3 ceramics. The sintering temperature of La(Mg0.5Ti0.5)O3 ceramics is generally high, about 1600 °C. However, the sintering temperature was significantly lowered about 275 °C from 1600 °C to 1325 °C by incorporating in 15 mol% Bi2O3 and revealed the optimum microwave dielectric properties of dielectric constant (?r) value of 40.1, a quality factor (Q × f) value of 60,231 GHz, and the temperature coefficient (τf) value of 70.1 ppm/°C. During all addition ranges, the relative dielectric constants (?r) were different and ranged from 32.0 to 41.9, the quality factors (Q × f) were distributed in the range of 928–60,231 GHz, and the temperature coefficient (τf) varies from 0.3 ppm/°C to 70.3 ppm/°C. Noticeably, a nearly zero τf can be found for doping 5 mol% Bi2O3 sintering at 1325 °C. It implies that nearly zero τf can be achieved by appropriately adjusting the amount of Bi2O3 additions and sintering temperature for La(Mg0.5Ti0.5)O3 ceramics.  相似文献

The microwave dielectric properties of La2.98/3Ba0.01(Mg0.5Sn0.5)O3 ceramics prepared by the conventional solid-state method were investigated for application in mobile communication. A 100 °C reduction of the sintering temperature was obtained by using CuO as a sintering aid. A dielectric constant of 20.0, a quality factor (Q × f) of 50,100 GHz and a temperature coefficient of resonant frequency τf of −78.3 ppm/°C were obtained when La2.98/3Ba0.01(Mg0.5Sn0.5)O3 ceramics with 0.25 wt.% CuO were sintered at 1500 °C for 4 h.  相似文献

A new low loss spinel microwave dielectric ceramic with composition of ZnLi2/3Ti4/3O4 was synthesized by the conventional solid-state ceramic route. The ceramic can be well densified after sintering above 1075 °C for 2 h in air. X-ray diffraction data show that ZnLi2/3Ti4/3O4 ceramic has a cubic structure [Fd-3m (227)] similar to MgFe2O4 with lattice parameters of a = 8.40172 Å, V = 593.07 Å3, Z = 8 and ρ = 4.43 g/cm3. The best microwave dielectric properties can be obtained in ceramic with relative permittivity of 20.6, Q × f value of 106,700 GHz and τf value of −48 ppm/°C. The addition of BaCu(B2O5) (BCB) can effectively lower the sintering temperature from 1075 °C to 900 °C and does not induce much degradation of the microwave dielectric properties. Compatibility with Ag electrode indicates that the BCB added ZnLi2/3Ti4/3O4 ceramics are good candidates for LTCC applications.  相似文献

The effects of sintering temperature and the addition of CuO on the microstructure and piezoelectric properties of 0.95(K0.5Na0.5)NbO3-0.05Li(Nb0.5Sb0.5)O3 were investigated. The KNN-5LNS ceramics doped with CuO were well sintered even at 940 °C. A small amount of Cu2+ was incorporated into the KNN-5LNS matrix ceramics and XRD patterns suggested that the Cu2+ ion could enter the A or B site of the perovskite unit cell and replace the Nb5+ or Li+ simultaneously. The study also showed that the introduction of CuO effectively reduced the sintering temperature and improved the electrical properties of KNN-5LNS. The high piezoelectric properties of d33 = 263 pC/N, kp = 0.42, Qm = 143 and tan δ = 0.024 were obtained from the 0.4 mol% CuO doped KNN-5LNS ceramics sintered at 980 °C for 2 h.  相似文献

Temperature stability and electrical properties of the piezoelectric material are very important in piezoelectric transformers applications. In this study, it was investigated the temperature stability of PNW–PMN–PZT with CeO2 additives and the variation of Zr/Ti ratio. Meanwhile, effects of CeO2 additives and the variation of Zr/Ti ratio on the microstructure and electrical properties of PNW–PMN–PZT were investigated in detail. The results revealed that the optimized temperature stability of Δfr/fr25 °C = 0.15%, ΔKp/Kp25 °C = −0.86% and ΔQm/Qm25 °C = −45.26% could be attained at x = 0.1 wt.% and Zr/Ti = 51/49. Moreover, optimized electrical properties were achieved: Kp = 0.60, Qm = 1405, d33 = 388 pC/N, ?r = 2140 and tan δ = 0.0059. The obtained temperature stabilities and electrical properties make this composition a good candidate for high power piezoelectric transformer applications.  相似文献

Li2ZnTi3O8 ceramics doped with ZnO–La2O3–B2O3 glass were prepared by the conventional solid-state ceramic route. The effects of the ZnO–La2O3–B2O3 glass on the sintering temperature, phase composition, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of Li2ZnTi3O8 ceramics were investigated. The addition of ZLB glass can reduce the sintering temperature of Li2ZnTi3O8 ceramic from 1075 °C to 925 °C without obvious degradation of the microwave dielectric properties. Only a single phase Li2ZnTi3O8 with cubic spinel structure is formed in Li2ZnTi3O8 ceramic with ZLB addition sintered at 925 °C. Typically, 1.0 wt% ZLB-doped Li2ZnTi3O8 ceramic sintered at 925 °C can reach a maximum relative density of 95.8% and exhibits good microwave dielectric properties of εr=24.34, Q×f=41,360 GHz and τf=−13.4 ppm/°C. Moreover, this material is compatible with Ag electrode, which makes it a promising candidate for LTCC application.  相似文献

Spherical shape borate-based bioactive glass powders with fine size were directly prepared by high temperature spray pyrolysis. The powders prepared at temperatures between 1200 and 1400 °C had mixed phase with small amounts of fine crystal and an amorphous rich phase. Glass powders with amorphous phase were prepared at a temperature of 1500 °C. The mean size of the glass powders prepared by spray pyrolysis was 0.76 μm. The glass powders prepared at a temperature of 1200 °C had two distinct exothermic peaks (Tc1 and Tc2) at temperatures of 588 and 695 °C indicating crystallization. The glass transition temperature (Tg) of the powders prepared at a temperature of 1200 °C was 480 °C. Phase-separated crystalline phases with spherical shape were observed from the surface of the pellet sintered at a temperature of 550 °C. Crystallization of the pellet was completely occurred at temperatures of 750 and 800 °C. The pellets sintered at temperatures below 700 °C had single crystalline phase of CaNa3B5O10. The pellet sintered at a temperature of 800 °C had two crystalline phases of CaNa3B5O10 and CaB2O4.  相似文献

This work investigates the feasibility to the fabrication of high density of fine alumina–5 wt.% zirconia ceramics by two-step sintering process. First step is carried out by constant-heating-rate (CHR) sintering in order to obtain an initial high density and a second step is held at a lower temperature by isothermal sintering aiming to increase the density without obvious grain growth. Experiments are conducted to determine the appropriate temperatures for each step. The temperature range between 1400 and 1450 °C is effective for the first step sintering (T1) due to its highest densification rate. The isothermal sintering is then carried out at 1350–1400 °C (T2) for various hours in order to avoid the surface diffusion and improve the density at the same time. The content of zirconia provides a pinning effect to the grain growth of alumina. A high ceramic density over 99% with small alumina size controlled in submicron level (0.62–0.88 μm) is achieved.  相似文献

Interface of multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)/alumina (Al2O3) nanocomposites have been studied using TEM. At low sintering temperature (Tsin=1500 °C), a 3–5 nm thick amorphous interface region was noticed. Nanocomposite sintered at 1700 °C possessed a well-defined graphene layer coating on matrix grains as the interface between CNT and Al2O3. A mechanism of such layered interface formation has been proposed. No traceable chemical reaction product was observed at the interface even after sintering at 1700 °C. It was noticed that while DC electrical conductivity (σDC) of 1500 °C sintered 2.4 vol% MWCNT/Al2O3 nanocomposite was only~0.02 S/m, it raised to ~21 S/m when sintering was done at 1700 °C. Such 103 times increase in σDC of present nanocomposite at a constant CNT loading was not only resulted from the exceptionally high electron mobility of CNT but the well-crystallized graphene interface on insulating type Al2O3 grains also significantly contributed in the overall increase of electrical performance of the nanocomposite, especially, when sintering was done at 1700 °C.  相似文献

The effects of CuO, Li2CO3 and CaTiO3 additives on the densification, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of CaSiO3–1 wt% Al2O3 ceramics for low-temperature co-fired applications were investigated. With a single addition of 1 wt% Li2CO3, the CaSiO3–1 wt% Al2O3 ceramic required a temperature of at least 975 °C to be dense enough. Large amount addition of Li2CO3 into the CaSiO3–1 wt% Al2O3 ceramics led to the visible presence of Li2Ca3Si6O16 and Li2Ca4Si4O13 second phases. Fixing the Li2CO3 content at 1 wt%, a small amount of CuO addition significantly promoted the sintering process and lowered the densification temperature to 900 °C whereas its addition deteriorated the microwave dielectric properties of CaSiO3–1 wt% Al2O3 ceramics. Based on 10 wt% CaTiO3 compensation in temperature coefficient, good microwave dielectric properties of εr=8.92, Q×f=19,763 GHz and τf=−1.22 ppm/°C could be obtained for the 0.2 wt% CuO and 1.5 wt% Li2CO3 doped CaSiO3–1 wt% Al2O3 ceramics sintered at 900 °C. The chemical compatibility of the above ceramics with silver during the cofiring process has also been investigated, and the result showed that there was no chemical reaction between silver and ceramics, indicating that the as-prepared composite ceramics were suitable for low-temperature co-fired ceramics applications.  相似文献

(K0.50Na0.50)0.97Bi0.01(Nb1-xZrx)O3 (KNBNZ) lead-free ceramics were prepared by the conventional solid-state sintering process. Their phase structure is dependent on the Zr content in the investigated range, and the ceramics endure a phase transition from pseudocubic to orthorhombic with increasing Zr content. Improved piezoelectric properties have been observed when the poling temperature is located at ~100 °C because of the coexistence of orthorhombic and tetragonal phases. Their dielectric and piezoelectric properties were enhanced by doping Zr, the ceramic with x=0.02 showing optimal electrical properties, i.e., d33~161 pC/N, kp~0.41, Qm~81, Tc~370 °C, and To−t~130 °C. These results show that the KNBNZ ceramic is a promising lead-free piezoelectric material.  相似文献

The carbon formation during methane decomposition was investigated at 900 °C over the 48 wt% Co-MgO catalysts as a function of the calcination temperature Tc used in their preparation. Examination of the carbonaceous deposits by transmission electron microscopy revealed three kinds of structures: shapeless tangles, shell-like materials, and carbon filaments. In another set of experiments, the structural characteristics of the calcined catalysts were investigated using temperature-programmed reduction (TPR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Co3O4, Co2MgO4, and (Co, Mg)O (solid solution of CoO and MgO) were identified for Tc≤700 °C, Co3O4 and (Co, Mg)O for Tc=800 °C and only (Co, Mg)O for Tc=900 °C. It was found that the metal particles originated from the reduction of the solid solution favored the formation of filamentous carbon. A possible explanation is proposed.  相似文献

The influence of sintering temperature and soaking time on fracture toughness of Al2O3 ceramics has been investigated. The samples were prepared by solid state sintering at 1500, 1600 and 1700 °C for different soaking time periods. The fracture toughness of the sintered samples was determined by inducing cracks using Vickers indentation technique. Microstructural investigations on fracture surfaces obtained by three point bend test mode were made and correlated with fracture toughness. Crack deflection in the samples sintered at 1500 and 1600 °C for which ranges of fracture toughness are 5.2–5.4 and 5.0–5.6 MPa m1/2 respectively, are found. The samples sintered at 1700 °C have lower fracture toughness ranging between 4.6 and 5.0 MPa m1/2. These samples have larger grains and transgranular fracture mode is predominant. The crack deflection has further been revealed by SEM and AFM observations on fracture surface and fracture surface roughness respectively.  相似文献

The sintering stress and the densification of MgO-doped Al2O3 were measured with a self-loading apparatus and a thermomechanical analyzer, respectively. The densification started at 950 °C and finished at about 1450 °C. The measured surface tensions were 0.7–0.8 N m−1 in the intermediate sintering stage but drastically decreased to 0.2 N m−1 in the final stage of sintering.  相似文献

Al2O3 + 5 vol% SiC composite ceramics were prepared via a conventional powder processing route followed by pressureless sintering. Commercially available Al2O3 and SiC powders were milled together in an aqueous suspension. The slurry was freeze granulated, and green bodies were obtained by cold isostatic pressing of the granules. Pressureless sintering was carried out in a nitrogen atmosphere at 1750 and 1780 °C. Near full density (>99%) was achieved at 1780 °C. Densification at the lower sintering temperature was promoted by smaller additions of MgO. Vickers hardness and indentation fracture toughness varied around 18 GPa and 2.3 MPa m1/2 after sintering at 1780 °C. Transmission electron microscopy revealed that the SiC particles were located predominantly to the interior of the matrix grains and well distributed throughout the composite microstructures. The intragranular particles had sizes in the range 50–200 nm while the intergranular particles were larger, typically 200–500 nm in diameter.  相似文献

SnO2-doped CaSiO3 ceramics were successfully synthesized by a solid-state method. Effects of different SnO2 additions on the sintering behavior, microstructure and dielectric properties of Ca(Sn1−xSix)O3 (x=0.5–1.0) ceramics have been investigated. SnO2 improved the densification process and expanded the sintering temperature range effectively. Moreover, Sn4+ substituting for Si4+ sites leads to the emergence of Ca3SnSi2O9 phase, which has a positive effect on the dielectric properties of CaO–SiO2–SnO2 materials, especially the Qf value. The Ca(Sn0.1Si0.9)O3 ceramics sintered at 1375 °C possessed good microwave dielectric properties: εr =7.92, Qf =58,000 GHz and τf=−42 ppm/°C. The Ca(Sn0.4Si0.6)O3 ceramics sintered at 1450 °C also exhibited good microwave dielectric properties of εr=9.27, Qf=63,000 GHz, and τf=−52 ppm/°C. Thus, they are promising candidate materials for millimeter-wave devices.  相似文献

The optical properties and microwave dielectric properties of transparent polycrystalline MgAl2O4 ceramics sintered by spark plasma sintering (SPS) through homemade nanosized MgAl2O4 powders at temperatures between 1250 °C and 1375 °C are discussed. The results indicate that, with increasing sintering temperatures, grain growth and densification occurred up to 1275 °C, and above 1350 °C, rapid grain and pore growth occurred. The in-line light transmission increases with the densification and decreases with the grain/pore growth, which can be as high as 70% at the wavelength of 550 nm and 82% at the wavelength of 2000 nm, respectively. As the sintering temperature increases, Q×f and dielectric constant εr values increase to maximum and then decrease respectively, while τf value is almost independent of the sintering temperatures and remains between −77 and −71 ppm/°C. The optimal microwave dielectric properties (εr=8.38, Q×f=54,000 GHz and τf=−74 ppm/°C) are achieved for transparent MgAl2O4 ceramics produced by spark plasma sintering at 1325 °C for 20 min.  相似文献
