John has been active with the Electrical Insulation Conference (EIC) since 1995, when he attended his first EEIC/EMCW Expo in Chicago. At the time, he was an industry manager for the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and its Insulating Materials Section. In 1996, John began working directly with EIC volunteers as he assumed the position of Secretary/Treasurer to the EIC Board of Governors, a position he still holds. As the Secretary/Treasurer, he has been responsible for recording all of the meeting minutes of the EIC Board of Governors (1996?present) and EIC/EMCWA Joint Management Committee (1996?2007). The application of Fresnel lenses is often made to the receiving antennas for television and radio by way of the satellite communication, for the astronomical observation and so on. Their advantage lies in structural simplicity and low cost. A typical Fresnel zone plate lens (FZPL) consists of coaxial conductive ring bands separately placed over the surface of a dielectric plate. For the antenna application a receiving horn is provided at the focal point. In our previous work, the experiment was carried out for this arrangement, where the horn aperture is larger than the wavelength. Comparison was made with the solution of the Kirchhoff's scalar formula with reasonable agreement (Trans EIC Japan 1998; J‐81‐B‐II (8):823–828; Trans EIC Japan 1996; J‐79‐B‐II (11):959–963). The present work is to validate the numerical treatment. The method of moment and the theory of the physical optics are here considered with three‐dimensional vectorial formulation. 堆石坝面板收缩性贯穿裂缝的理论分析及防裂措施 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
堆石坝面板的裂缝主要源于因温降和干缩引起的收缩。当面板的收缩变形受到约束后会产生拉应力而导致裂缝。本文推导了面板收缩后受堆石体及侧面先浇块约束时沿断面拉应力分布的解析解,求出最大拉应力断面位置及应力值与底面及侧面约束的关系。数值结果表明,面板与堆石体之间的凝聚力及先浇块的侧面约束是引起裂缝的重要因素。根据本文的理论分析提出了无贯穿性收缩裂缝的设计准则及相应的工程措施。 相似文献
