In this paper, we consider the Three-Dimensional Loading Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem(3L-CVRP) which combines the routing of a fleet of vehicles and the loading of three-dimensional shaped goods into the vehicles while minimizing the total travel distance incurred. Apparently, 3L-CVRP is a combination of capacitated vehicle routing and three-dimensional bin packing problem and thus of high complexity. Different from most of previous works, we propose an innovative approach, called improved least waste heuristic for solving the loading subproblem, which is iteratively invoked by a simple tabu search algorithm for the routing. The good performance in terms of the solution quality and computational efficiency of our approach is shown through the numerical experiments on the benchmark instances from literature.  相似文献

This paper addresses an extension of the capacitated vehicle routing problem where customer demand is composed of two-dimensional weighted items (2L-CVRP). The objective consists in designing a set of trips minimizing the total transportation cost with a homogenous fleet of vehicles based on a depot node. Items in each vehicle trip must satisfy the two-dimensional orthogonal packing constraints. A GRASP×ELS algorithm is proposed to compute solutions of a simpler problem in which the loading constraints are transformed into resource constrained project scheduling problem (RCPSP) constraints. We denote this relaxed problem RCPSP-CVRP. The optimization framework deals with RCPSP-CVRP and lastly RCPSP-CVRP solutions are transformed into 2L-CVRP solutions by solving a dedicated packing problem. The effectiveness of our approach is demonstrated through computational experiments including both classical CVRP and 2L-CVRP instances. Numerical experiments show that the GRASP×ELS approach outperforms all previously published methods.  相似文献

The Three-Dimensional Loading Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (3L-CVRP) addresses practical constraints frequently encountered in the freight transportation industry. In this problem, the task is to serve all customers using a homogeneous fleet of vehicles at minimum traveling cost. The constraints imposed by the three-dimensional shape of the goods, the unloading order, item fragility, and the stability of the loading plan of each vehicle are explicitly considered. We improved two well-known packing heuristics, namely the Deepest-Bottom-Left-Fill heuristic and the Maximum Touching Area heuristic, for the three-dimensional loading sub-problem and provided efficient implementations. Based on these two new heuristics, an effective tabu search algorithm is given to address the overall problem. Computational experiments on publicly available test instances show our new approach outperforms the current best algorithms for 20 out of 27 instances. Our approach is also superior to the existing algorithm on benchmark data for the closely related problem variant M3L-CVRP (which uses a slightly different unloading order constraint compared to 3L-CVRP).  相似文献

The capacitated vehicle routing problem with three-dimensional loading constraints combines capacitated vehicle routing and three-dimensional loading with additional packing constraints concerning, for example, unloading operations. An efficient hybrid algorithm including a tabu search algorithm for routing and a tree search algorithm for loading is introduced. Computational results are presented for all publicly available test instances. Most of the best solutions previously reported in literature have been improved while the computational effort is drastically reduced compared to other methods.  相似文献

Two new construction heuristics and a tabu search heuristic are presented for the truck and trailer routing problem, a variant of the vehicle routing problem. Computational results indicate that the heuristics are competitive to the existing approaches. The tabu search algorithm obtained better solutions for each of 21 benchmark problems.  相似文献

面向越库配送模式下二维装载和车辆路径联合优化,考虑现实配送过程的不确定性因素,提出考虑随机旅行时间和二维装载约束的越库配送车辆路径问题.基于蒙特卡洛模拟与场景分析方法,建立以运输成本、车辆固定成本以及时间窗期望惩罚成本之和最小化为目标的带修正随机规划模型.继而根据问题特征,设计改进的自适应禁忌搜索算法和基于禁忌搜索的多重排序最佳适应装箱算法进行求解.其中,改进的自适应禁忌搜索算法在禁忌搜索算法的基础上引入自适应机制,对不同邻域算子进行动态选择,并提出基于移除-修复策略的多样性机制以增强算法的寻优能力.数值实验表明,所提出的模型与方法能够有效求解考虑随机旅行时间和二维装载约束的越库配送车辆路径问题,自适应与多样性机制能一定程度上增强算法的全局搜索能力.  相似文献

We propose a complex real-world problem in logistics that integrates routing and packing aspects. It can be seen as an extension of the Three-Dimensional Loading Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (3L-CVRP) introduced by Gendreau, Iori, Laporte, and Martello (2006). The 3L-CVRP consists in finding a set of routes that satisfies the demand of all customers, minimizes the total routing cost, and guarantees a packing of items that is feasible according to loading constraints. Our problem formulation includes additional constraints in relation to the stability of the cargo, to the fragility of items, and to the loading and unloading policy. In addition, it considers the possibility of split deliveries, so that each customer can be visited more than once. We propose a local search approach that considers the overall problem in a single stage. It is based on a composite strategy that interleaves simulated annealing with large-neighborhood search. We test our solver on 13 real-world instances provided by our industrial partner, which are very diverse in size and features. In addition, we compare our solver on benchmarks from the literature of the 3L-CVRP showing that our solver performs well compared to other approaches proposed in the literature.  相似文献

The capacitated arc routing problem (CARP) is a difficult optimisation problem in vehicle routing with applications where a service must be provided by a set of vehicles on specified roads. A heuristic algorithm based on tabu search is proposed and tested on various sets of benchmark instances. The computational results show that the proposed algorithm produces high quality results within a reasonable computing time. Some new best solutions are reported for a set of test problems used in the literature.  相似文献

This paper raises a novel two-phase heuristic method to solve vehicle routing problems with backhauls. Differing from other vehicle routing problems, we consider the travel speed of vehicle to be time dependent, which will be used for the model of rush hour in an urban city. In the first phase, the original solution is generated by extending traditional heuristic methods and in the second phase, the reactive tabu search algorithm is used to optimize the original solution. We verified that this algorithm is efficient in a number of standard test cases. After comparison with the closest neighboring search algorithm, we found that the results of two-phase heuristic methods are more reasonable.  相似文献

This paper deals with a location routing problem with multiple capacitated depots and one uncapacitated vehicle per depot. We seek for new methods to make location and routing decisions simultaneously and efficiently. For that purpose, we describe a genetic algorithm (GA) combined with an iterative local search (ILS). The main idea behind our hybridization is to improve the solutions generated by the GA using a ILS to intensify the search space. Numerical experiments show that our hybrid algorithm improves, for all instances, the best known solutions previously obtained by the tabu search heuristic.  相似文献

This paper introduces a parallel iterated tabu search heuristic for solving four different routing problems: the classical vehicle routing problem (VRP), the periodic VRP, the multi-depot VRP, and the site-dependent VRP. In addition, it is applicable to the time-window constrained variant of these problems. Using the iterated local search framework, the heuristic combines tabu search with a simple perturbation mechanism to ensure a broad exploration of the search space. We also describe a parallel implementation of the heuristic to take advantage of multiple-core processors. Extensive computational results show that the proposed heuristic outperforms tabu search alone and is competitive with recent heuristics designed for each particular problem.  相似文献

This paper proposes an efficient algorithm, with a reduced number of parameters, for solving the two‐dimensional loading‐capacitated vehicle routing problem (2L‐CVRP). This problem combines two of the most important issues in logistics, that is, vehicle routing and packing problems. Our approach contemplates unrestricted loading including the possibility of applying 90° rotations to each rectangular‐shaped item while loading it into the vehicle, which is a realistic assumption seldom considered in the existing literature. The algorithm uses a multistart approach that is designed to avoid local minima and also to make the algorithm an easily parallelizable one. At each restart, a biased randomization of a savings‐based routing algorithm is combined with an enhanced version of a classical packing heuristic to produce feasible good solutions for the 2L‐CVRP. The proposed algorithm has been compared with the classical benchmarks for two different 2L‐CVRP variants, that is, with and without item rotations. Experimental results show that our approach outperforms several best‐known solutions from previous work, both in terms of quality and the computational time needed to obtain them.  相似文献

带平衡约束的圆形装填(Packing)问题是一类简化的卫星舱布局优化问题.现提出一个基于禁忌搜索的启发式(TSH)算法对该问题进行求解.算法从任一初始格局出发,应用基于自适应步长的梯度法进行能量极小化.为了使计算能有效地逃离局部极小点的陷阱且避免迂回搜索,算法采用了禁忌搜索的策略.在禁忌搜索的过程中,我们对传统的邻域解、禁忌对象以及当前解接受原则进行了有效的改进.对两组共11个有代表性的算例进行了实算.计算结果表明,TSH算法刷新了其中7个算例的当今国际上的最好纪录,对于其余4个算例,该算法均达到问题的最优解.  相似文献

This paper proposes a tabu search heuristic for the Quay Crane Scheduling Problem (QCSP), the problem of scheduling a fixed number of quay cranes in order to load and unload containers into and from a ship. The optimality criterion considered is the minimum completion time. Precedence and non-simultaneity constraints between tasks are taken into account. The former originate from the different kind of operations that each crane has to perform; the latter are needed in order to avoid interferences between the cranes. The QCSP is decomposed into a routing problem and a scheduling problem. The routing problem is solved by a tabu search heuristic, while a local search technique is used to generate the solution of the scheduling problem. This is done by minimizing the longest path length in a disjunctive graph. The effectiveness of our algorithm is assessed by comparing it to a branch-and-cut algorithm and to a Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure (GRASP).  相似文献

We study a variant of the vehicle routing problem that allows vehicles with multiple compartments. The need for multiple compartments frequently arises in practical applications when there are several products of different quality or type, that must be kept or handled separately. The resulting problem is called the multi-compartment vehicle routing problem (MCVRP). We propose a tabu search heuristic and embed it into a iterated local search to solve the MCVRP. In several experiments we analyze the performance of the iterated tabu search and compare it to results from the literature. We find that it consistently produces solutions that are better than existing heuristic algorithms.  相似文献

One of the most important factors in implementing supply chain management is to efficiently control the physical flow of the supply chain. Due to its importance, many companies are trying to develop efficient methods to increase customer satisfaction and reduce costs. In various methods, cross-docking is considered a good method to reduce inventory and improve responsiveness to various customer demands. However, previous studies have dealt mostly with the conceptual advantages of cross-docking or actual issues from the strategic viewpoint. It is also necessary, however, to considering cross-docking from an operational viewpoint in order to find the optimal vehicle routing schedule. Thus, an integrated model considering both cross-docking and vehicle routing scheduling is treated in this study. Since this problem is known as NP-hard, a heuristic algorithm based on a tabu search algorithm is proposed. In the numerical example, our proposed algorithm found a good solution whose average percentage error was less than 5% within a reasonable amount of time.  相似文献
