研究了科学排课所需遵循的原则和编排课程表所涉及的因素、问题,总结出在排课中出现的各种时间资源、空间资源、教师资源的冲突。根据排课的特点,以优化时间和空间两种资源为目标,采用鲁棒性较好的遗传算法,并进行了详细的算法设计。针对遗传算法的搜索效率较低问题,结合实验深入研究了各种优化算法的优缺点,经实验表明,该算法的设计对于解决排课问题具有优势。  相似文献

基于高中新课程改革的背景,解决高中课程编排不合理的问题.采用抽样调查(发放调查问卷)、建立数学模型(将学生的兴趣、作业多少、课程的难易以及有用程度数量化)、数据统计(Excel执行计算、统计软件SPSS和Minitab进行建模分析)的方法.对多因素进行综合分析,设计出了一种自动排课算法,制定出高中课程表,使新课改的课程编排更加合理与均衡.此方法既可用于高中排课系统,也可用于高校排课系统或其它相关领域.  相似文献

研究高校智能排课优化问题,由于在资源的有限的条件下满足教学的有序性,使高校自动排课成为一个多约束、多目标优化问题.传统排课方法排课效率低、成功率低,导致课程之间冲突率高,无法满足现代高校教务管理要求.为了提高排课效率和排课成功率,提出一种自适应遗传算法的智能排课系统.首先根据教师、学生、教室、课程和课程时间段要求建立一个多约束条件的高校排课数学模型,采用随机可行排课法操作产生可行排课方案,然后利用遗传算法在可行方案中寻找最优排课方案.仿真结果表明,相对于传统排课方法,自适应遗传算法不仅提高了排课效率,而且提高排课的成功率,有效降低课程之间冲突率,并能够解决高校排课难题.  相似文献

Starting from a heuristic program, the author has tried to develop a timetable program which can be applied to practical cases. In constructing a timetable, conflicts usually arise as to the availability of teachers, classes and classrooms. So we set up a timetable starting from the subjects most likely to lead to conflicts. When a conflict occurs in the heuristic procedure, exchange facilities are provided for the “dead ends” with the aid of certain “alternating subgraphs”. The main procedure is followed by a program that analyses the result and uses the exchange routine for an improvement within certain limits.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss the problem of randomly sampling classes of fixed-interval railway timetables from a so-called timetable structure. Using a standard model for the timetable structure, we introduce a natural partitioning of the set of feasible timetables into classes. We then define a new probability distribution where the probability of each class depends on the robustness of the timetables in that class. Due to the difficulty of sampling directly from this distribution, we propose a heuristic sampling method and illustrate using practical data that our method indeed favors classes containing robust timetables over others.  相似文献

The timetabling problem is concerned with the allocation, subject to constraints, of given resources to objects in space and time in such way as to satisfy as nearly as possible a set of desirable objectives. This problem is known to be NP–complete and as such only combinatorial optimization methods can guarantee an optimal timetable. In this paper we propose a sector–based genetic algorithm for solving a university weekly courses timetabling problem. At universities where students enjoy flexibility in selecting courses, the Registrar’s office aims to generate an appropriate exam timetable for numerous courses and large number of students. An appropriate, real-world exam timetable should show fairness towards all students, respecting the following constraints: (a) eliminating or minimizing the number of simultaneous exams; (b) minimizing the number of consecutive exams; (c) minimizing the number of students with two or three exams per day (d) eliminating the possibility of more than three exams per day (e) exams should fit in rooms with predefined capacity; and (f) the number of exam periods is limited. These constraints are conflicting, which makes exam timetabling intractable. Hence, solving this problem in realistic time requires the use of heuristic approaches. In this work, we develop an evolutionary heuristic technique based on the scatter search approach for finding good suboptimal solutions for exam timetabling. This approach is based on maintaining and evolving a population of solutions. We evaluate our suggested technique on real-world university data and compare our results with the registrar’s manual timetable in addition to the timetables of other heuristic optimization algorithms. The experimental results show that our adapted scatter search technique generates better timetables than those produced by the registrar, manually, and by other meta-heuristics.  相似文献

The Chronicle of Higher Education recently reported that "the boom in educational technology has not lived up to its promise of revolutionizing the classroom and making higher education more profitable" (Carnevale, 2004). The Chronicle later highlighted a study showing that "while the innovations have made courses more convenient, the spending [on IT in the classroom] has yet to have a large impact on learning" (Young, 2004). On the other hand, this same article states that "of the students surveyed, 76.1% said their experience using a course-management system was positive or very positive, with only 6.6% saying it was negative or very negative (17.3% were neutral on the issue)." So how effective is online versus traditional instruction? The author's personal observation is that his online students performed about as well as my traditional students on all their assignments, tests, and exercises. Different types of practice materials were available to the different classes, each appropriate to the teaching or learning situation in use. However, despite studies on instructional methods, there has never been a definitive answer to the question.  相似文献

In this paper, we address a university-timetabling problem and present a methodology that relies on Benders’ partitioning for its solution. This partitioning results from the special nature of the underlying integer programming formulation for this problem. We have used our methodology to schedule courses offered by the College of Engineering as well as to those offered university-wide at Virginia Tech. The results clearly depict an improvement in the quality of course schedules obtained by our methodology over those currently used, when the performance of a timetable is measured by the total distance traveled by the faculty members from their offices in respective departments to the classrooms, where the courses are offered.  相似文献
