Mobile short video-based product sales sharing sites like YouTube and Tudor have many established user content for creating and distributing shares. The increasing number of mobile devices for product sales leads to the upcoming new 5G technology roadmap for embedded systems and 5G network connectivity. As these are the main sources of 5G information and online activities for consumers, mobile phone short films are rapidly being replaced by embedded systems. As the demand for more embedded system devices and applications continues to grow, supported bandwidth is also essential to meet this growing connection demand. The existing system does not allocate the product sales data upload bandwidth size. The system proposed here focuses on user upload bandwidth allocation, one of the basic resources of a short video sharing system with product details. Its allocation upload bandwidth Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) algorithm is proposed in a centralized or decentralized way and evaluated for balancing widely used strategies (equal allocation) and a mobile short video. Embedded systems are responsible for running professional product sales and control applications consistently and predictably. Development while using the microprocessor is also important. It increases the need to process product sales to handle the bandwidth, latency requirements, product sales data and data generated from multiple connected devices. It's a big challenge for the industry to data and data capabilities.  相似文献

Online information sources, such as pictures and animations on web pages are frequently used for complementing printed course material in educational contexts. The concurrent use of online and printed information sources by students, however, requires going back and forth between physically separated course material, such as a course book and a computer screen, thus leading to suboptimal learning outcomes. Compatible with the principles identified by the recent theoretical frameworks for multimedia learning, mobile technology provides learners with the opportunity to bring online and printed course material close together. Mobile phones make online information available within a small desktop space, in close proximity to printed course material. The challenges that are relevant to text input methods can be overcome by the 2D barcode technology. This study investigates the use of camera-equipped mobile phone and 2D barcode technology as an alternative to the use of computer screen for complementing printed course material. The results of the experimental investigation suggest that, by facilitating the access to online information sources by 2D barcode tags on course books, mobile phones have the potential to enhance learning.  相似文献

A heterogeneous computing environment characterizes today's manufacturing situation. This is a stumbling block for the efficient implementation of manufacturing concepts such as integrated product and process design (IPPD). A computing environment for IPPD would require the seamless integration of the various product and process design software systems. The exchange of information between these systems should be efficient, compatible and synchronous. This article presents an approach for developing distributed manufacturing applications that are compatible and synchronized and thus, able to support IPPD. The approach involves the use of a common manufacturing application ‘middleware’, which is distributed between a central geometric modelling server and application clients. The portability of the middleware is ensured through the use of Java for code portability and XML for data portability. The compatible product model problem is solved through the use of common data structures developed using reusable application client classes. Efficient transfer of product data is proposed using compressed model information embedded in a product data XML schema. Synchronization of design changes among all applications is achieved through the creation of relationships on an Application Relationship Manager.  相似文献

IT support for engineering involves the integration of existing, evolving and future product data, and software that processes that data. Thus, there is increasing interest in the representation of product data in the computer to support CAE applications. To avoid duplication and inconsistency, and to support the use of new implementation technology as it emerges, conceptual models of product data are required. Such models are independent of the software and hardware environments in which they are implemented. System architectures to support the integration of applications at implementation time are becoming an accepted part of engineering information systems. To use these software support environments effectively, integrated product data is required. It must also be possible to extend the integrated product data in a controlled fashion if it is to evolve to support future engineering applications effectively. A framework that is a part of the product data at the conceptual modeling stage helps to satisfy these requirements. The framework presented is a structure for the information content of product data rather than for the implementation of such data. Product data based on the framework can be successfully implemented in a number of different database forms. This paper describes a framework for electromechanical product data that has been implemented in a structure editor and is being used to support a range of engineering applications. The process of product data integration can be improved by using existing integration strategies together with a framework that provides an overall organization for the data  相似文献

Although mobile technologies are increasingly used for business purposes, many companies have found it difficult to successfully implement them. Not only do the rapid technological changes increase the risks of companies’ investments into mobile technologies, but many such applications have also failed to gain user acceptance. In contrast to the consumer domain, there are very few empirical studies of mobile applications’ effectiveness from the perspectives of professional end users. Furthermore, designing mobile business applications has become an increasingly iterative and incremental activity, and ex post evaluations by actual users can provide crucial feedback to an iterative design process. In this study, we seek to contribute to establishing a design cycle that closely links the building and the evaluation of mobile business applications. Our objectives are to (1) gain a better understanding of mobile business applications’ success by means of ex post evaluations from end users, and to (2) leverage these empirical insights to inform the design of mobile business applications. We conducted the study in collaboration with DEKRA Automotive, which offers expert services in the automotive sector with experience in mobile business applications. Our primary contribution is a systematic approach to using ex post evaluation as input for the iterative design of mobile business applications. We suggest an adapted version of the D&M information system (IS) Success Model, which has process quality as an additional construct, as a basis for ex post evaluations of a mobile business application by its end users. Furthermore, we illustrate how a performance-based analysis of the empirical results enables one to derive priorities and recommendations for future design iterations. Our results reveal that system quality and process quality are the main determinants of individual benefits of using mobile business applications. Our findings thus contradict other studies that identify information quality as a significant motivator of (consumer-oriented) mobile data services. We conclude that a mobile business application's design should focus on process quality, emphasizing functional support for operational tasks in a specific work context while ensuring system quality, which is largely affected by technology platform choices.  相似文献

A central challenge of semantic ambient media applications is designing smart user interfaces that are able to dynamically deal with an a-priori unknown number of data categories and data instances received live from different Linked Open Data sources while at the same time being intuitive and easy to use. In the mobile world, this challenge is even more difficult as the mobile devices have limited interaction possibilities and smaller display size. In this paper, we tackle this challenge and present the user-centered, iterative design of a mobile application for faceted search and exploration of a large, multi-dimensional data set of open social media on a touchscreen mobile phone. The application is called Mobile Facets and provides live retrieval and interactive search and exploration of resources like places, persons, organizations, and events originating from different, integrated social media sources like DBpedia, Eventful, Upcoming, Flickr, and GeoNames. In contrast to existing work, we do not know in advance the number and type of data categories and data instances that will be received as the data is queried live from the sources. While developing Mobile Facets, we have applied a participatory design with a small group of five users. For the final prototype we have conducted a task-based, formative evaluation with 12 additional subjects to investigate the applicability and usability of our Mobile Facets application.  相似文献

The major goal of this study was to empirically compare text-plus-mobile phone learning using an integrated 2D barcode tag in a printed text with three other conditions described in multimedia learning theory. The method examined in the study involved modifications of the instructional material such that: a 2D barcode was used near the text, the learner scanned the tag with the camera on his/her mobile phone and reached the animation and narration on the mobile phone's screen. Using this method, we created a new approach that reinforces printed textbooks, which had the poorest retention and transfer results. The results suggest that supporting a printed textbook with camera-equipped mobile devices and 2D barcodes linked to supplemental information, may increase the effectiveness of learning.  相似文献

One of the impediments to the implementation of ITS is the lack of map database interoperability. Centreline databases are available from a number of sources, but few were designed specifically for ITS. Consequently there are a variety of problems—coordinate inaccuracy, errors of omission and commission, missing or wrong street names, incorrect topology—that are compounded when communicating parties use databases from different vendors. Many ITS applications (e.g., emergency response, ATIS) rely on the exchange of messages in which location is a component. Map error and interoperability problems can result in a variety of practical difficulties, from inappropriate vehicle routing to delays in delivery of critical services. These problems can be addressed by (a) standards for map databases, (b) intelligent messaging, (c) national integration efforts to improve database quality in the long term. This paper examines the dimensions of the problem, and describes solutions currently under development.  相似文献

Sensors play a vital role in the smartphone for sensing-enabled mobile activities and applications. Different sources, like mobile applications and websites, access the sensors and use them for various purposes. The user needs permission to access the permission-imposed sensors. Using the generic sensor application programming interface, the user can access the no-permission-imposed sensors directly without any permission. Attackers target these sensors and make the smartphones vulnerable at the application, device and network levels. The attackers access the sensor’s information and use it for different purposes like personal identification number identification and user personal information theft. This paper presents STMAD, a novel allowlist-based intrusion prevention system to mitigate sensor-based threats on smartphones by detecting malicious access of an attacker through different channels. STMAD functions as a lightweight preventive mechanism for all sensors on the smartphone and preventing attackers from accessing sensors maliciously. The experimental results show that the proposed defense mechanism is more efficient and consumes minimal overhead. An informal security analysis also proved that the STMAD protects against various attacks.

Nowadays the classic web paradigms are being subjected to changes; every day millions of users around the world use their Smartphones to access web applications from anywhere. The World Wide Web it is one of the biggest repositories of information in the world, and that information is stored in internet servers and repositories, but today in the real world there are many other information sources such as electronic devices with communication capabilities: smart appliances and sensor networks. The Smartphones are equipped with communication hardware elements like the Bluetooth module, which allows the Smartphone to exchange information with nearby electronic devices. Every day more and more mobile applications are being developed for native platforms that use Bluetooth’s communication module to send and receive information from different sources. Native mobile applications use the specific platform’s APIs to manage the Bluetooth communication actions (send and receive information, search for devices, etc.), however, web applications do not have technical capabilities to manage the Smartphone’s Bluetooth communication module and thereof cannot use that kind of information. The main objective of this research work is to design a novel framework that allows classic web applications to use information from nearby electronic devices. The proposed framework must be easy to use and able to be integrated with common web technologies. Developers can use this framework to include new information sources and data exchange procedures in an easy way. Today’s product designer is being asked to develop high quality, innovative products at an ever increasing pace. To meet this need, an intensive search is underway for advanced design methodologies that facilitate the acquisition of design knowledge and creative ideas for later reuse. Additionally, designers are embracing a wide range of 3D digital design applications, such as 3D digitization, 3D CAD and CAID, reverse engineering (RE), CAE analysis and rapid prototyping (RP). In this paper, we propose a reverse engineering innovative design methodology called Reverse Innovative Design (RID). The RID methodology facilitates design and knowledge reuse by leveraging 3D digital design applications. The core of our RID methodology is the definition and construction of feature-based parametric solid models from scanned data. The solid model is constructed with feature data to allow for design modification and iteration. Such a construction is well suited for downstream analysis and rapid prototyping. In this paper, we will review the commercial availability and technological developments of some relevant 3D digital design applications. We will then introduce three RE modelling strategies: an autosurfacing strategy for organic shapes; a solid modelling strategy with feature recognition and surface fitting for analytical models; and a curve-based modelling strategy for accurate reverse modelling. Freeform shapes are appearing with more frequency in product development. Since their “natural” parameters are hard to define and extract, we propose construction of a feature skeleton based upon industrial or regional standards or by user interaction. Global and local product definition parameters are then linked to the feature skeleton. Design modification is performed by solving a constrained optimization problem. A RID platform has been developed and the main RE strategies and core algorithms have been integrated into SolidWorks as an add-in product called ScanTo3D. We will use this system to demonstrate our RID methodology on a collection of innovative consumer product design examples.  相似文献

Techniques for mining information from distributed data sources accessible over the Internet are a growing area of research. The mobile Agent paradigm opens a new door for distributed data mining and knowledge discovery applications. In this paper we present the design of a mobile agent system which couples service discovery, using a logical language based application programming interface, and database access. Combining mobility with database access provides a means to create more efficient data mining applications. The processing of data is moved to network wide data locations instead of the traditional approach of bringing huge amount of data to the processing location. Our proposal aims at implementing system tools that will enable intelligent mobile Agents to roam the Internet searching for distributed data services. Agents access the data, discover patterns, extract useful information from facts recorded in the databases, then communicate local results back to the user. The user then generates a global data model through the aggregation of results provided by all Agents. This overcomes barriers posed by network congestion, poor security, and unreliability.  相似文献

Mobile applications such as information alerts, disconnected information processing and background processing are applications gaining significant attention in manufacturing companies. In this paper, we describe the framework and architecture of a mobile-agent-based system, which provides mobile information services to the workforce in motion in manufacturing enterprises. We emphasize on background and disconnected processing and demonstrate the use of a Mobile-agent-based system to achieve it. Recognizing the need to exchange information between various distributed information sources, we explore the use of XML-based agent communication and discuss how XML can be used for inter-agent communication.
