We show how to characterise compositionally a number of evaluation properties of λ-terms using Intersection Type assignment systems. In particular, we focus on termination properties, such as strong normalisation, normalisation, head normalisation, and weak head normalisation. We consider also the persistent versions of such notions. By way of example, we consider also another evaluation property, unrelated to termination, namely reducibility to a closed term.Many of these characterisation results are new, to our knowledge, or else they streamline, strengthen, or generalise earlier results in the literature.The completeness parts of the characterisations are proved uniformly for all the properties, using a set-theoretical semantics of intersection types over suitable kinds of stable sets. This technique generalises Krivine's and Mitchell's methods for strong normalisation to other evaluation properties.  相似文献

We study α-adic expansions of numbers, that is to say, left infinite representations of numbers in the positional numeration system with the base α, where α is an algebraic conjugate of a Pisot number β. Based on a result of Bertrand and Schmidt, we prove that a number belongs to if and only if it has an eventually periodic α-adic expansion. Then we consider α-adic expansions of elements of the ring when β satisfies the so-called Finiteness property (F). We give two algorithms for computing these expansions — one for positive and one for negative numbers. In the particular case that β is a quadratic Pisot unit satisfying (F), we inspect the unicity and/or multiplicity of α-adic expansions of elements of . We also provide algorithms to generate α-adic expansions of rational numbers in that case.  相似文献

We provide a technique to detect the singularities of rational planar curves and to compute the correct order of each singularity including the infinitely near singularities without resorting to blow ups. Our approach employs the given parametrization of the curve and uses a μ-basis for the parametrization to construct two planar algebraic curves whose intersection points correspond to the parameters of the singularities including infinitely near singularities with proper multiplicity. This approach extends Abhyankar's method of t-resultants from planar polynomial curves to rational planar curves. We also derive the classical result that for a rational planar curve of degree n the sum of all the singularities with proper multiplicity is (n−1)(n−2)/2. Examples are provided to flesh out our results.  相似文献

Cαml is a tool that turns a so-called “binding specification” into an Objective Caml compilation unit. A binding specification resembles an algebraic data type declaration, but also includes information about names and binding. Cαml is meant to help writers of interpreters, compilers, or other programs-that-manipulate-programs deal with α-conversion in a safe and concise style. This paper presents an overview of Cαml's binding specification language and of the code that Cαml produces.  相似文献

We study properties of functors on categories of sets (classes) together with set (class) functions. In particular, we investigate the notion of inclusion preserving functor, and we discuss various monotonicity and continuity properties of set functors. As a consequence of these properties, we show that some classes of set operators do not admit functorial extensions. Then, starting from Aczel's Special Final Coalgebra Theorem, we study the class of functors uniform on maps, we present and discuss various examples of functors which are not uniform on maps but still inclusion preserving, and we discuss simple characterization theorems of final coalgebras as fixpoints. Maddox defined the sequence spaces ℓ(p), c(p) and c0(p) in [Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 64 (1968) 335, Quart. J. Math. Oxford (2) 18 (1967) 345]. In the present paper, the sequence spaces a0r(u,p) and acr(u,p) of non-absolute type have been introduced and proved that the spaces a0r(u,p) and acr(u,p) are linearly isomorphic to the spaces c0(p) and c(p), respectively. Besides this, the α-, β- and γ-duals of the spaces a0r(u,p) and acr(u,p) have been computed and their basis have been constructed. Finally, a basic theorem has been given and later some matrix mappings from a0r(u,p) to the some sequence spaces of Maddox and to some new sequence spaces have been characterized.  相似文献

We present a powerful and flexible method for automatically checking the secrecy of values inside components. In our framework an attacker may monitor the external communication of a component, interact with it and monitor the components resource usage. We use an automata model of components in which each transition is tagged with resource usage information. We extend these automata to pass values and say that a value is kept secret if the observable behaviour of the automata is the same for all possible instantiations of that value. If a component leaks some, but not all of the information about its secret we use a notion of secrecy degree to quantify the worst-case leakage. We show how this secrecy degree can be automatically calculated, for values from a finite domain, using the μCRL process algebraic verification toolset.  相似文献

In this paper, we first introduce a new concept of generalized L-KKM mapping and establish some new generalized L-KKM type theorems without any convexity structure in topological spaces. As an application, an existence theorem of equilibrium points for an abstract generalized vector equilibrium problem is proved in topological spaces.
