Visualization of dynamic data from molecular dynamics simulations is crucial for understanding the functioning of molecules. Many existing visualization tools have mainly focused on supporting a single user working on a desktop computer. Technical advancements in browser features increase the potential for the development of web-based collaborative visualization tools. Although web-based molecular viewers already exist, their support for dynamic molecular data at interactive rates is lacking. To address this gap, we present an efficient web application for visualization of dynamic molecular data using WebGL that exploits HTML5 technologies like WebSockets and Web Workers. GPU-based ray casting techniques offer fast rendering times and produce images with higher visual quality. Efficient data encoding techniques are used to minimize the data transferred to the client; therefore saving bandwidth and improving the transfer times. We demonstrate the feasibility of visualizing large dynamic molecular data with more than one million atoms in the browser at interactive frame rates. Our approach allows scientists at arbitrary locations to concurrently visually analyze the same data. The interactive parameterization of the visualization can be shared among multiple clients, providing the basis for collaborative research. Moreover, the application can be employed for remote simulation monitoring on mobile devices.  相似文献

Parallel simulation codes often suffer from performance bottlenecks due to network congestion, leaving millions of dollars of investments underutilized. Given a network topology, it is critical to understand how different applications, job placements, routing schemes, etc., are affected by and contribute to network congestion, especially for large and complex networks. Understanding and optimizing communication on large‐scale networks is an active area of research. Domain experts often use exploratory tools to develop both intuitive and formal metrics for network health and performance. This paper presents Tree Scope , an interactive, web‐based visualization tool for exploring network traffic on large‐scale fat‐tree networks. Tree Scope encodes the network topology using a tailored matrix‐based representation and provides detailed visualization of all traffic in the network. We report on the design process of Tree Scope , which has been received positively by network researchers as well as system administrators. Through case studies of real and simulated data, we demonstrate how Tree Scope 's visual design and interactive support for complex queries on network traffic can provide experts with new insights into the occurrences and causes of congestion in the network.  相似文献

We present an interactive tool for browsing course requisites as a case study of dependency visualization. This tool uses multiple interactive visualizations to allow the user to explore the dependencies between courses. A usability study revealed that the proposed browser provides significant advantages over traditional methods, in terms of learnability, efficiency and user confidence. Visualization of sentiments and opinions extracted from or annotated in texts has become a prominent topic of research over the last decade. From basic pie and bar charts used to illustrate customer reviews to extensive visual analytics systems involving novel representations, sentiment visualization techniques have evolved to deal with complex multidimensional data sets, including temporal, relational and geospatial aspects. This contribution presents a survey of sentiment visualization techniques based on a detailed categorization. We describe the background of sentiment analysis, introduce a categorization for sentiment visualization techniques that includes 7 groups with 35 categories in total, and discuss 132 techniques from peer‐reviewed publications together with an interactive web‐based survey browser. Finally, we discuss insights and opportunities for further research in sentiment visualization. We expect this survey to be useful for visualization researchers whose interests include sentiment or other aspects of text data as well as researchers and practitioners from other disciplines in search of efficient visualization techniques applicable to their tasks and data.  相似文献

大数据时代催生了互联网流量的指数级增长,为了有效地管控网络资源,提高网络安全性,需要对网络流量进行快速、准确的分类,这就对流量分类技术的实时性提出了更高的要求。目前,国内外的网络流量分类研究大多是在单机环境下进行的,计算资源有限,难以应对高速网络中的 (准) 实时流量分类任务。本文在充分借鉴已有研究成果的基础上,吸收当前最新的思想和技术,基于Spark 平台,有机结合其流处理框架 Spark Streaming 与机器学习算法库 MLlib,提出一种大规模网络流量准实时分类方法。实验结果表明,该方法在保证高分类准确率的同时,也具有很好的实时分类能力,可以满足实际网络中流量分类任务的实时性需求。  相似文献

There exists a vast amount of geographic information system (GIS) data that model road networks around the world as polylines with attributes. In this form, the data are insufficient for applications such as simulation and 3D visualization-tools which will grow in power and demand as sensor data become more pervasive and as governments try to optimize their existing physical infrastructure. In this paper, we propose an efficient method for enhancing a road map from a GIS database to create a geometrically and topologically consistent 3D model to be used in real-time traffic simulation, interactive visualization of virtual worlds, and autonomous vehicle navigation. The resulting representation provides important road features for traffic simulations, including ramps, highways, overpasses, legal merge zones, and intersections with arbitrary states, and it is independent of the simulation methodologies. We test the 3D models of road networks generated by our algorithm on real-time traffic simulation using both macroscopic and microscopic techniques.  相似文献

In recent years, the use of advanced technologies such as wireless communication and sensors in intelligent transportation systems has made a significant increase in traffic data available. With this data, traffic prediction has the ability to improve traffic conditions and to reduce travel delays by facilitating better utilization of available capacity. This paper presents a real-time transportation prediction system named VTraffic for Vermont Agencies of Transportation by integrating traffic flow theory, advanced sensors, data gathering, data integration, data mining and visualization technologies to estimate and visualize the current and future traffic. In the VTraffic system, acoustic sensors were installed to monitor and to collect real-time data. Reliable predictions can be obtained from historical data and be verified and refined by the current and near future real-time data.  相似文献

航空发动机高空模拟试验作为检验航空发动机性能的重要手段,其试验流程中采集的各传感器测点数据极为重要与珍贵。为了使数据信息的展示更为直观并且更深入挖掘数据潜在的价值,提出基于多框架集成的航空发动机高空模拟试验台数据流实时迁移及可视化技术。首先,利用MyBatis-Plus自动视图层构建可视化技术将存储于底层历史数据库中的信息直观地展示于Vue框架的浏览器端表结构空间中,方便试验员查看分析;然后利用基于GateWay限流机制的JDBC接口融合全量/增量和基于负载均衡机制的MyBatis框架融合多线程并行传输流的数据流迁移技术,将历史数据库中可供后续算法分析利用的重要数据信息同步至本地数据库中;最后,利用Vue框架的数据流前端监控界面,验证数据可视化展示的直观性、完整性、有效性和数据流同步的实时性。  相似文献

In this report, we review the current state of the art of web‐based visualization applications. Recently, an increasing number of web‐based visualization applications have emerged. This is due to the fact that new technologies offered by modern browsers greatly increased the capabilities for visualizations on the web. We first review these technical aspects that are enabling this development. This includes not only improvements for local rendering like WebGL and HTML5, but also infrastructures like grid or cloud computing platforms. Another important factor is the transfer of data between the server and the client. Therefore, we also discuss advances in this field, for example methods to reduce bandwidth requirements like compression and other optimizations such as progressive rendering and streaming. After establishing these technical foundations, we review existing web‐based visualization applications and prototypes from various application domains. Furthermore, we propose a classification of these web‐based applications based on the technologies and algorithms they employ. Finally, we also discuss promising application areas that would benefit from web‐based visualization and assess their feasibility based on the existing approaches.  相似文献

Remote rendering is a well-known solution to the issue of running high-performance applications requiring complex visualizations on less capable hardware/software platforms or when client access to the data source for visualization is undesired or prohibitive in terms of required bandwidth. Visualizing the output of these remote rendering applications is typically achieved through native applications or, when considering a browser environment, through plug-ins. In this paper, several solutions are presented that enable deployment of these applications on standard web browsers, even those from the pre-HTML5 era. The focus in this paper is on two specific use case scenarios, taking into account that the proposed solutions are generic enough to be applied to a range of similar applications. The technologies presented cover the entire range of sub-processes contained in a complete remote rendering solution, such as the establishment of interaction feedback channels and delivery of images as part of the rendering pipeline. Depending on factors such as application requirements, developer preferences, feature availability in the web browser or raw performance figures, a custom solution can be composed from the options discussed in this paper. This is illustrated by applying them to the two aforementioned use cases, each with specific requirements and challenges, and benchmarking these example setups in terms of performance. A comparison of advantages and disadvantages is presented to guide developers in applying the technologies under real-life conditions.  相似文献

Accurate and real-time traffic flow forecasting plays an important role in optimizing traffic routing enabling adaptive and sophisticated applications on the network. Managing and routing enormous traffic flow with dynamic behavior is a highly challenging task. However, arriving at a precise model for traffic forecasting in a short interval of time is not trivial because of the dynamic nature of traffic flow. A novel multivariate time series framework is designed to analyze and forecast the dynamic traffic flow in SDN based networks. The proposed framework adapts the Multivariate Singular Spectrum Analysis (MSSA) forecasting model and incorporates the Randomized Singular Value Decomposition (RSVD) to improve the accuracy of flow prediction. Simulations are conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed MSSA method. The proposed method predicts the long-term traffic fluctuation from the observed traffic traces. The SDN controller is trained using the traffic traces and future traffic flows are forecasted. The performance evaluation of the proposed method predicts real-time traffic trends accurately with 2.2% MAPE, 9.44 MAE and 13.803 RMSE. The results show that the learning ability of MSSA helps to forecast future network traffic with low prediction errors.  相似文献

Examining and manipulating the large volumetric data attract great interest for various applications. For such purpose, we first extend the 2D moving least squares (MLS) technique into 3D, and propose a texture-guided deformation technique for creating visualization styles through interactive manipulations of volumetric models using 3D MLS. Our framework includes focus+context (F+C) visualization for simultaneously showing the entire model after magnification, and the cut-away or illustrative visualization for providing a better understanding of anatomical and biological structures. Both visualization styles are widely applied in the graphics areas. We present a mechanism for defining features using high-dimensional texture information, and design an interface for visualizing, selecting and extracting features/objects of interest. Methods of the interactive or automatic generation of 3D control points are proposed for the flexible and plausible deformation. We describe a GPU-based implementation to achieve real-time performance of the deformation techniques and the manipulation operators. Different from physical deformation models, our framework is goal-oriented and user-guided. We demonstrate the robustness and efficiency of our framework using various volumetric datasets.  相似文献

随着虚拟现实技术和移动互联网技术的飞速发展,众多商家希望通过移动端实现 交互式蒙版擦除动画。然而目前在个性化实时定制、交互性等方面存在问题。为此,设计了一 种基于个性化定制的交互式蒙版擦除动画方法,包括个性化定制模块和交互式蒙版擦除动画可 视化模块,其中个性化定制模块实现了定制数据的初始化处理,交互式蒙版擦除动画可视化模 块实现了移动端甩动—可视化终端蒙版擦除—后台数据查询编辑的交互式蒙版擦除动画。搭建 了原型系统并进行了实验测试,测试结果表明,该系统可以实现移动端约 2 000 次甩动的实时 同步擦除动画可视化。  相似文献
