本文论述了CIMS信息集成的概念、方法,并结合作者近年来开发CIMS的具体实践,总结出CIMS信息集成过程中与企业信息管理相关的几个难点。在对其分析的基础上,指出企业信息标准化是开发CIMS的前提,如果企业信息没有标准化,那么实际上CIMS是无法实现的。最后,本文还讨论了企业信息标准化的关键及其措施。  相似文献

GS-STEP是一个面向开放环境的STEP信息集成工具集,为适应开放式CIMS环境对信息集成的柔性需求,采用了系统独立性、协议无关性和层次化、模块化的开发策略。这些策略使GS-STEP能够方便地应用于各种CAx系统,也使其各功能部件可作为独立的软件包或开发平台分别实现商品化,从而体现“即插即用”思想与可扩充性原则。该软件作为信息集成平台已成功地应用于CIMS集成环境GS-ICCC。文中从开发策略、系统结构、数据流和功能组织等角度阐述了GS-STEP的设计与实现。  相似文献

如何解决产品设计的信息集成问题一直是并行工程研究的一个重要课题。文章从信息集成的需求出发,定义了产品数据和产品信息模型,分析了基于STEP国际标准和特征建模技术的信息集成的方式。然后提出了一种并行工程信息集成的方式,在传统的CAD软件的基础上,参考STEP国际标准增加了产品的特征建模,通过STEP中性文件实现了并行工程中的产品信息集成。该系统在航天某型号部件XXX的设计和制造中得到了应用。  相似文献

As technological tasks in CIM environments become more complicated, the level of intelligence required to automate and integrate these tasks also evolves with increasing complexity. This paper classifies CIM tasks and their required intelligence into facility, data and decision levels, and discusses the automation and integration of those knowledge-intensive CIM tasks at their decision level. Since decision-level tasks are often more abstract than those at the facility and data levels, a systematic approach is necessary to build research programs for the automation of these tasks. This paper will use the decision-level task of concurrent engineering as an example to explain the five-step approach that we have adapted to form our research programs in this evolving area of CIM research. These five steps are: (1) perform analysis of the task and its needed decision-level supports, (2) conceptualize these analysis results into a concise framework, (3) propose a software paradigm for the conceptual framework, (4) identify functional requirements from this paradigm to guide software implementations, and (5) correlate implementation results to identify a fundamental technology. More specifically, the analysis of concurrent engineering tasks in CIM can be found in Section 2. Section 3 explains the conceptualization process which views decision making activities as mappings and loops between a control and performance space. In Section 4, concurrent engineering is modeled as a team problem-solving process participated in by multiple cooperating knowledge sources (MCKS) with overlapping expertise to perform those loops. Several functional requirements are identified from this MCKS model of concurrent engineering and example research activities to address these challenges are described in Section 5. The correlations in Section 6 indicate that the knowledge processing technology, evolved from applied artificial intelligence research, is a fundamental technology for building intelligent systems to support various knowledge-intensive CIM tasks at their decision level.  相似文献

A significant effort in recent computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) development was carried out by SEMATECH who had laid out and created an open framework for the integration of manufacturing execution system applications running in semiconductor industries at the factory operation level. This paper presents the feasibility to incorporate basic manufacturing applications at the factory engineering level, which include product design, process planning, and material requirement planning, into the SEMATECH CIM framework to form a generic framework across both factory operation level and factory engineering level. The CIM framework established in this paper was aimed to provide a reusable integrated system framework that clearly specifies the functional interface boundaries and standard information model of the required components, in general, manufacturing systems at both factory operation and factory engineering levels. Standard unified modeling language (UML) diagrams and Petri nets have been utilized to model and analyze the specifications and dynamic behaviors of this generic CIM framework. The goal is to build a framework by creating a common, modular, flexible, and integrated object model that unifies an advanced object-oriented architecture concept and heterogeneous manufacturing application development in an open and multisupplier CIM system environment.  相似文献

Integration has become a self-evident goal in today's manufacturing enterprises. Since the late 1970s, numerous efforts have been launched world-wide to develop, employ, and deploy integration technology as a strategic weapon to compete in the global market-place. Important results have been obtained, including computer integrated manufacturing (CIM), concurrent engineering, and enterprise re-engineering. The field is poised to tackle some fundamental barriers of integration and thereby effect a new quantum jump in overall productivity, where information will become a fourth basic factor of production along with land, labor and capital. Among the barriers are the lack of information technology enabling multiple systems operating concurrently over different geographical regions. This paper discusses a unique approach to the integration problem regarding information resources management, global query and concurrent systems administration. This approach is based on the metadatabase model which incorporates both data and knowledge in order to accomplish information integration across manufacturing functions. Basic concepts, methods and techniques have been developed for the approach and verified via a prototype metadatabase system. The system's primary components and major functionalities are discussed and illustrated in detail through the use of an extended example of a pilot manufacturing system comprising order processing, process design and shop floor control. It will also provide the reader with a simulated system demonstration.A preliminary version of this paper was presented to the Third International Conference on Computer Integrated Manufacturing, May 1992.  相似文献

Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) constitutes one of the most essential elements in Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM). Although many CAPP systems have been reported in literature during the last two decades, few of them are compatible enough to integrate easily with other systems in the CIM environment. One major reason is the lack of an effective method to represent the information required by CAPP, and to unify such information with the information of other systems in the CIM environment. Indeed, this problem has received relatively inadequate attention in the recent research of CAPP systems. In this paper, an information model for CAPP is developed by using the object-oriented modeling and the Product Data Exchange Step/STandard of Exchange Product data (PDES/STEP) techniques. The model consists of the part information model, the process plan information model, and the production resource information model. The EXPRESS language or the EXPRESS-G diagram is used to represent these models. Indeed, the proposed information model will greatly improve the CAPP system's capability of effective integration with other systems in the CIM environment, and, ultimately, to facilitate the implementation of the whole CIM strategy in manufacturing enterprises.  相似文献

Product information modeling is critical to the integration of mechanical CAD/CAM systems and to the implementation of a concurrent engineering system. This paper presents a recent development of a feature-based and object-oriented concurrent engineering system with its focus on a product information modeling technique implemented in the system. The technique was developed to capture product definition data including form features and their spatial relationships and to store them as an object-oriented information model during the design process. The paper also describes the implementation of the information modeling technique and its application to manufacturing process planning in an object-oriented environment.  相似文献
