嵌入式操作系统μC/OS-II的特点及应用

在单片机系统中使用嵌入式操作系统是未来嵌入式操作系统发展的一个方向。从嵌入式操作系统发展的历史、嵌入式操作系统的市场和技术发展的变化着手 ,分析了当前一种源码公开的嵌入式实时操作系统 μC/OS -Ⅱ在产品开发中的应用现状、技术优势 ,及其发展前景。同时以 5 1系列单片机为例 ,深入地阐述了在单片机系统中使用该嵌入式操作系统的优缺点以及在实际单片机系统中嵌入 μC/OS -Ⅱ应注意的问题。

Action-embedded transformational leadership in self-managing global information systems development teams

While software development teams are becoming more and more distributed around the globe, most software development methodologies used by global teams prescribe self-managing teams. Transformational leadership is the key to successful information systems development and use for competitive advantage. Yet, little is known about transformational leadership in self-managing global information systems development team settings. This study answers the research question of how leaders emerge and strategically influence systems development in self-managing global information systems development teams. This question is answered with a grounded theory study of Apache Open Source Software development teams. A theoretical model of action-embedded transformational leadership is developed to demonstrate how leaders emerge and strategically influence systems development efforts through their leadership, which is embedded in their work-related actions.     

基于WebGIS的人类学民族学田野信息系统开发

文中对当前常用的WebGIS开发工具进行了比较研究,基于低成本、易维护、可扩展的开发原则,选用了Google Maps API作为WebGIS开发工具,采用Java EE作为系统架构开发平台,同时结合新兴Web开发技术—Ajax技术构建了人类学民族学田野信息系统,实现了基于Web和地图方式直观方便地进行田野调查点的地理空间信息以及多媒体信息的采集与检索。系统以地图形式可视化地展示了中国人类学、民族学田野工作概况,为国内外学者提供了一个田野调查工作经验分享和信息检索的网络平台。

Ontology Libraries on the Web: Status and Prospects

This paper reviews the use of computer ontologies for Internet data linking and knowledge representation. We discuss a trend in organizing ontology libraries and servers for the joint development of ontologies and their application. Ontology libraries are regarded as public Web resources. We pay special attention to the design of ontology libraries, their debugging, and directions for their development.     

International NGOs: networking,information flows and learning

International non-government organisations (INGOs) are increasingly regarded as important in their capacity to influence global policy on development matters such as poverty alleviation, sustainable development, and human rights. This has been possible through their simultaneous attachment to places and local cultures on the one hand, and their critical engagement with the global on the other. With recent advances in information and communication technologies, an increasingly connected INGO community is finding consideration scope for networking and information sharing at multiple levels.However, despite the strategic advantage of INGOs in terms of their multi-level reach, their contribution to date remains limited to small-scale success stories rather than affecting large-scale development. In this paper, we emphasise the importance for INGOs to learn from the field in their quest to influence wider policy-making and improve local accountability. We argue that as their role changes from operational work to international advocacy, INGOs will have to strengthen institutional structures and learning skills to achieve a greater developmental impact.     

Modularising the specification of a small database system in extended ML

A case study in the modular specification and refinement of a small database system is presented in Extended ML. Two similar requirements specifications are given and a program development step from each these is presented. The structure resulting from the first program development step is similar to that given in [FiJ90] and is presented as an answer to the challenge problem given in that paper, while the second development step is presented as a possible alternative which is more suited to the Extended ML style of program development. In the context of these two development steps the module facilities of Extended ML, their role in specification and program development and their ability to meet the challenge of [FiJ90] are examined.This research was supported by SERC grant GR/E 78463
