CASE(Computer Aided Software Engineering计算机辅助软件工程)环境作为一类复杂的系统软件,其体系结构至关重要。本文在工具总线(ToolBus)的基础上,从软件体系结构的角度,提出了一种基于工具总线的CASE环境体系结构风格TBus,对体系结构模型、系统行为进行了形式化描述,以及相应的工具结构模型、工具适配器结构模型、工具集成机制等方面进行了深入的研究与分析。建立TBus体系结构风格,对于促进分布式CASE环境和软件平台开发具有重要的指导意义。  相似文献

The paper describes a Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tool to support conceptual database modelling. One popular approach for conceptual database modelling is use of the Entity-Relationship (ER) model. The paper proposes the use of an Enhanced Entity-Relationship (EER) model for conceptual database modelling. This Enhanced Entity-Relationship model extends the Entity-Relationship model by incorporating the generalization/specialization, aggregation and categorization abstractions. The CASE tool, which is based on the Enhanced Entity-Relationship model, is known as the Enhanced Entity-Relationship Diagrammer (EERD). In addition, the CASE tool supports direct visual query and update based on the EERM.  相似文献

Sequential graph rewriting systems are proposed as a meta-level formalism providing the concise and sound definition of different ER diagram languages. These rewriting systems can be used to define ER-based approaches for various DB modelling subtasks like schema design, evolution and integration. In addition, they are a natural choice for syntax directed ER CASE workbenches. In particular, by using specialized ER graph rewriting systems as meta input for CASE tools, the resulting tool behavior can be guided and controlled. Moreover, grammar driven modelling tools can be easily adapted for the needs of a particular enterprise or software factory without superimposing a particular ER dialect on the end users. Additional benefits result from the use of ER graph rewriting systems as a comparison framework for the continuously enlarging set of ER dialects.

The presentation includes material on the ER graph rewriting formalism, i.e., the actual tool, as well as an introduction to some formal graph rewriting prerequisites. An exemplary application, in particular ER graph generation, is used to clarify the underlying formal concepts.  相似文献

The absence of a formal specification of methods permits application engineers to interpret method concepts in any way they want. Further, different CASE tool designers can implement the same method concepts in different ways. The approach to formal method specification described here is in three levels: the generic level, the method independent level, and the method level. The generic level provides a model of a method which can be instantiated to yield a method-independent view of methods. This view can, in turn, be instantiated to yield the formal method of interest. The attempt is to represent methods independently of any underlying way-of-working or paradigm, remove the process/product dichtomy by tight coupling of the process and product aspects of methods, and permit extensibility of methods. The formal specification can be used as a basis for building CASE tools, as an output to be produced by a CAME tool, and for defining development processes.  相似文献

从数据库设计的角度出发,在CASE(计算机辅助系统工程)工具中添加了创建XML视图的功能,也就是说在使用CASE对实体及其相互联系建模之后,在创建数据库对象的DDL语句的同时自动的创建此数据库的XML视图.具体的方法是将E-R模型转换为DTD来完成了这个数据库的XML视图的创建,一次性的完成了数据库的设计和此数据库的XML视图的创建,从而避免了程序员为了生成视图而对此数据库进行的二次开发,因此提高了工作效率.  相似文献

Abstract. CASE research to date has been dominated by positivistic enquiry; particularly tool building, surveys and normative writings. In contrast, there is a growing community of IS researchers developing models of IS practice that highlight the complex relationship between context and process that has to be mastered in order to develop viable information systems. This paper bridges the gap between the two bodies of knowledge by presenting a phenomenological study of CASE tool usage in a large UK manufacturing company over a four year period which shows that organizational context, tool features and usage are inextricably linked. The lessons arising from the work are presented and grounded in interpretive IS theory. The results of the work are clearly in accord with this theory, thus, showing the importance of interpretive CASE research, as a complement to positivist thinking, in bringing to light the human and organizational issues which strongly influence systems development practice  相似文献
