针对应急通信系统的需求,本文介绍了一种适用于多种通信设备的多媒体通信终端的软件实现方法。软件采用了面向对象的设计方法,根据通信设备和各种业务的特点,合理的界定了通信模块和各种业务模块之间的职能。在对通信模块接口进行合理抽象的基础上,软件实现了适用于以太网、网络电台和短波电台的通信模块。在通过不同的下层通信设备进行通信时,终端软件只需要选择不同的通信模块就能实现包括语音、视频、短信息、静态图像、电子白板和文件传输在内的多媒体通信。

基于OneNET云平台的智能空调控制系统

针对空调耗电量大,因管理不善人为存在浪费的问题,文中提出并实现了一种基于OneNET云平台,通过增加外置智能空调控制终端模块对温湿度进行实时监控、对普通空调进行远程控制的系统.整个系统分为手机APP客户端、云上的虚拟设备及基于STM32的智能空调控制终端三大部分,适用于多种空调品牌.智能空调控制终端模块实时采集周边环境的温湿度数据上传云平台,用户通过手机APP实时查看环境数据并通过OneNET下发相应的控制指令给智能空调控制终端模块,终端模块通过红外通信方式控制空调.实验表明,利用该系统能实时监控环境温湿度数据,有效地控制空调合理使用,能营造舒适的生活工作环境又不造成浪费.

Serial communication

Serial datalinks are most commonly used by computers to communicate with both local and remote terminals. In this article, the simple serial datalinks that are most often used are described.     

Processor-processor communication

Loosely coupled distributed microcomputer systems require communication links between different computer configurations. Byte oriented serial links provide a simple way of overcoming the problems of incompability between the computer configurations. The communications protocol, hardware and software for handling such links are discussed.     

Myrinet communication

In last year's IEEE Micro special issue on the Hot Interconnects IV Symposium, we discussed our experiences with client-server computing on the Paragon-based Shrimp multicomputer. Since then we implemented the same virtual memory-mapped communication (VMMC) mechanism on the Myrinet-based Shrimp multicomputer (a set of Pentium PCs connected by a Myrinet network). In both cases we achieved protected, user-level, end-to-end performance close to the hardware limits. However, VMMC imposes a copy for high-level connection-oriented communication libraries. Therefore, we extended the model, and designed and built a new implementation. This update reports our latest work with VMMC on the Myrinet-based Shrimp multicomputer, which we call VMMC-2     

Context-aware communication

Describes the Mercury system, whereby a user of an electronic message service receives messages on a device and in a format appropriate to his context (travelling, in a meeting, etc.); and ConChat, whereby besides transmitting his message he automatically transmits contextual information such as his location, the number and identities of other people in the room, the room's ambient temperature, lighting, and sound, other applications and devices running in the room, his mood, his personal status (on the 'phone, out to lunch, etc), and any activity in the room.     

Text-based communication influences self-esteem more than face-to-face or cellphone communication

Meaningful social interactions are positively associated with improvements in self-esteem, but this phenomenon has largely been unexplored in digital media despite the prevalence of new, text-based communication (e.g. Facebook, texting, email, etc.). To address this gap in the literature the frequency and quality, or meaningfulness, of communication was measured in mediated and non-mediated channels across a random sample of 3649 social interactions using Experience Sampling Methods. Results revealed that most communication took place face-to-face (62%), with less text-based (about 22%) and cell phone voice (14%) communication. Meaningful face-to-face and text-based communication were associated with changes in self-esteem according to a marginally significant and significant finding, respectively. Text-based communication was more important for self-esteem than face-to-face or phone communication, which is consistent with research on the magnifying effect of text-based communication on interpersonal processes. According to the Internet enhanced self-disclosure hypothesis, the psychological benefits of text-based communication stems from enhanced self-disclosure, which is also supported in the data. Additional work is needed to better understand the mechanisms underlying the positive relationship between meaningful text-based interactions and self-esteem, but findings point to the important role of digital communication for psychological health.     

DeltaOS下的CAN总线驱动及多通道通信调度

分析了DeltaOS的设备驱动基本框架,设计实现了多通道PMC-CAN驱动程序。针对DeltaOS实时多任务的特点,基于看门狗定时器方法,有效简化了多任务环境下周期任务轮询程序的设计;设计了一种多通道中断处理的方法,提高了多通道数据传输效率及通道利用率;针对多个CAN通道的调度提出了一种基于动态调度表的调度方法;通过实验验证了CAN驱动的正确性及多通道调度的有效性。
