In this paper the sampled-data stabilization of linear time-invariant systems with feedback delay is considered. We assume that the delay is time-varying and that its value is approximatively known. We investigate how to use the available information about the evolution of delays for adapting the control law in real time. Numerical methods for the design of a delay-dependent controller are presented. This allows for providing a control for some cases in which the stabilization cannot be ensured using a controller with a fixed structure.  相似文献

We propose a novel way for sampled-data implementation (with the zero order hold assumption) of continuous-time controllers for general nonlinear systems. We assume that a continuous-time controller has been designed so that the continuous-time closed-loop satisfies all performance requirements. Then, we use this control law indirectly to compute numerically a sampled-data controller. Our approach exploits a model predictive control (MPC) strategy that minimizes the mismatch between the solutions of the sampled-data model and the continuous-time closed-loop model. We propose a control law and present conditions under which stability and sub-optimality of the closed loop can be proved. We only consider the case of unconstrained MPC. We show that the recent results in [G. Grimm, M.J. Messina, A.R. Teel, S. Tuna, Model predictive control: for want of a local control Lyapunov function, all is not lost, IEEE Trans. Automat. Control 2004, to appear] can be directly used for analysis of stability of our closed-loop system.  相似文献

This paper addresses the stability analysis of sampled-data piecewise-affine (PWA) systems consisting of a continuous-time plant in feedback connection with a discrete-time emulation of a continuous-time state feedback controller. The sampled-data system is first considered as a continuous-time system with a variable time delay. Conditions under which the trajectories of the sampled-data closed-loop system will converge to an attracting invariant set are then presented. It is also shown that when the sampling period converges to zero, these conditions coincide with sufficient conditions for non-fragility of the stabilizing continuous-time PWA state feedback controller. The results are successfully applied to a helicopter example.  相似文献

The output stabilization problem for a linear system with an unknown bounded time-varying input delay is considered. The interval observation technique is applied in order to obtain guaranteed interval estimate of the system state. The procedure of the interval observer synthesis uses lower and upper estimates of the unknown delay and requires to solve a special Silvester’s equation. The interval predictor is introduced in order to design a linear stabilizing feedback. The control design procedure is based on Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI). The theoretical results are supported by numerical simulations and compared with a control design scheme based on a Luenberger-like observer.  相似文献

A new delay system approach to network-based control   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
This paper presents a new delay system approach to network-based control. This approach is based on a new time-delay model proposed recently, which contains multiple successive delay components in the state. Firstly, new results on stability and H performance are proposed for systems with two successive delay components, by exploiting a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and by making use of novel techniques for time-delay systems. An illustrative example is provided to show the advantage of these results. The second part of this paper utilizes the new model to investigate the problem of network-based control, which has emerged as a topic of significant interest in the control community. A sampled-data networked control system with simultaneous consideration of network induced delays, data packet dropouts and measurement quantization is modeled as a nonlinear time-delay system with two successive delay components in the state and, the problem of network-based H control is solved accordingly. Illustrative examples are provided to show the advantage and applicability of the developed results for network-based controller design.  相似文献

In this study, we present an extension of the prediction scheme (dynamic control) for nonlinear stochastic systems with both input and state delays. The stochastic system includes multiplicative noise and it is modelled as Ito stochastic differential equation. Input delay is considered to be equal or less than state delay and both delays are considered to be constant. At first, a new formula for prediction of the system's state is presented and then by means of this prediction vector, control input is constructed. To calculate the stabilising gain of the predictive controller, some sufficient delay-independent conditions in the form of linear matrix inequality are presented. Finally, simulation examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

The stabilization of exponentially unstable linear systems with time-varying input delay is considered in this paper. We extend the truncated predictor feedback (TPF) design method, which was recently developed for systems with all poles on the closed left-half plane, to be applicable to exponentially unstable linear systems. Assuming that the time-varying delay is known and bounded, the design approach of a time-varying state feedback controller is developed based on the solution of a parametric Lyapunov equation. An explicit condition is derived for which the stability of the closed-loop system with the proposed controller is guaranteed. It is shown that, for the stability of the closed-loop system, the maximum allowable time-delay in the input is inversely proportional to the sum of the unstable poles in the plant. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through numerical examples.  相似文献

This paper mainly focuses on further improved stability analysis of state estimation for neutral-type neural networks with both time-varying delays and leakage delay via sampled-data control by delay-partitioning approach. Instead of the continuous measurement, the sampled measurement is used to estimate the neuron states and a sampled-data estimator is constructed. To fully use the sawtooth structure characteristics of the sampling input delay, sufficient conditions are derived such that the system governing the error dynamics is asymptotically stable. The design method of the desired state estimator is proposed. We construct a suitable Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) with triple and quadruple integral terms then by using a novel free-matrix-based integral inequality (FMII) including well-known integral inequalities as special cases. Moreover, the design procedure can be easily achieved by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which can be easily facilitated by using the standard numerical software. Finally, two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.  相似文献
