为了克服传统工作流管理系统的缺点,满足企业流程的自动化和提高企业的市场竞争力,分析了当前工作流管理系统普遍存在的问题和轻量级工作流管理系统架构设计的必要性;搭建了由客户层、表示逻辑层、持久层和数据库服务层组成的多层次工作流管理系统的整体架构,设计了可以根据需要灵活添加和裁减组件的轻量级工作流管理系统核心架构,详细地描述了该架构各个组件及功能,并且基于该架构的系统可以根据具体需求灵活地定制不同领域的工作流管理系统中.     

基于工作流的产品开发项目管理系统的研究与实现

分析了产品开发项目管理系统的构建要求,提出了一种基于web的分布式工作流管理系统,运用了统一建模语言(Unified Modeling Language;UML)进行企业产品开发流程分析及建构参考模型,讨论了基于web的工作流技术以提供不同形式的流程处理机制与流程自由定制,最后指出了需要进一步深入研究的问题。

课题设计了基于MVC的轻量级工作流管理系统核心框架架构,该架构主要有管理和解析、转发控制和流程、活动持久化组件和工作流引擎核心组件组成,来进行系统的设计和应用,并且允许灵活的添加和裁减各种组件来扩展工作流管理系统的功能．也可以根据具体需求灵活地定制到不同领域的工作流管理系统中。

Web服务的商业流程执行语言(简称BPEL4WS或BPEL)是一种基于XML的工作流定义语言,可以作为企业工作流建模和实现工作流管理系统的基础.本文首先介绍了工作流和BPEL4WS的基本概念,然后由一个例子具体介绍了BPEL4W的流程,最后给出了基于BPEL4WS工作流管理系统的实现.     

面向软件业务逻辑的工作流引擎(ToLWE)的设计与实现

传统的工作流系统通过管理和控制业务流程来提高企业运行的灵活性和适应性。本文面向软件业务逻辑的定制和执行实现了一个基于令牌协议的轻量级工作流引擎,将工作流的优点引入软件开发领域,同时为其提供基于GME(通用建模环境)的可视化流程定义工具。ToLWE通过将工作流的概念引入软件开发中,不仅加快了软件的开发速度,而且提高了软件业务逻辑的灵活性和可定制性。

基于WfPN的业务流程重组

工作流管理技术在企业的业务流程重组和业务流程自动化中扮演重要角色。它提供了一系列工具来建立、分析、仿真和实施业务流程,按照工作流管理联盟的规范自主开发了AutoFlow工作流管理系统,其中工作流建模方法是整个系统的核心基础。在此,提出了一种基于Petri网的工作流建模理论－WfPN模型,并描述如何将业务流程映射成WfPN(workflow Petri net)模型,WfPN可以作为工作流系统流程建模的理论基础,为业务流程的自动化和BPR的计算机实施铺平道路。     

基于Agent的Web Services自适应工作流模型的研究

如何让企业可以灵敏反应外部环境的变动并快速改变企业内部的流程作业,是传统工作流管理系统面临的最大挑战.提出一种基于Agent的Web Services工作流模型(AW-WFM)来解决这个难题.在这个模型中,基于Agent的技术实现一种工作流协作机制,而Web Services技术为工作流管理系统提供了计算资源.最后,介绍了AW-WFM在上海大学协同办公系统中的应用.     

工作流管理系统WFlow中协同建模工具的研究

在传统的工作流管理系统中建模工具一般只支持单用户工作,工作流模型由专业建模人员来建立。随着工作流管理系统应用领域和应用规模的不断扩大,其所管理的企业业务流程已不可能只局限在企业中的一个小部门内部,而是一些跨部门跨企业的业务流程,这些流程只靠单个专业 建模人员已经很难完成其工作流模型的建立,它需要不同人员的分工合作,充分利用各自的专业知识共同来完成其工作流模型的建立。为此,开发了工作流管理系统－－Wflow,就其协同建模工具进行了研讨。     

基于关系模式和Web的工作流管理系统的研究

随着信息化发展的不断深入,传统的信息管理系统已经不能很好地满足企业的需求。传统的信息管理系统是面向功能的,在企业的业务发生变化时很难快速地做出调整。而工作流管理系统则是面向流程的,可以针对企业的流程做出相应调整。讨论了工作流管理系统对比传统信息管理系统所具有的优势,在此基础上提出了一个基于关系模式,面向Web的工作流管理系统的设计方案。给出了系统的设计思想和总体框架。并重点描述了工作流管理系统的数据库设计和系统实现的一些关键问题。     

“过程”新论

“过程”本是计算机界早期的话题.关于“过程”的研究热潮早已成为过去,很长时间已很少有人谈及“过程”.然而,工作流和业务过程管理系统（BPMS）的出现使“过程”再次成为研究的热点.业务过程管理系统被认为是继工作流技术之后实现业务过程的创建、集成、复用的下一代技术.它在过程的描述、实现方法上用Process把业务流中的控制流、数据流和参与者统一起来.Petri Net是一种很好的描述过程管理的模型,它能够较好地描述系统执行过程中的并行、竞争和同步等特性.本文论述了建立过程模型中遇到的一些新问题,并介绍了一种基于Petri Net扩展后形成的信牌驱动式业务过程模型,和用于解决业务管理中诸多问题的方法和相关研究工作.     

面向数据的BPM中服务垂直匹配研究

针对面向数据的业务流程管理(BPM)系统中逻辑模型向物理模型的自动转换问题,提出一种服务垂直匹配解决方法。利用XML描述artifact类型的实例,在此基础上,给出以artifact为中心的业务流程模型ArtiFlow的形式化描述及逻辑服务的定义,进而从流程描述中提取逻辑服务,基于XML文档树的嵌入方法,提出逻辑服务到物理服务的匹配算法。     

Increasing the efficiency of business processes using a theory of constraints

In this study, a Theory of Constraints (TOC)-based method was developed to enhance the efficiency of business processes. Whereas the TOC has been employed in manufacturing processes, the present paper shows that it can be effective also for Business Process Management (BPM). In order to apply the TOC to business processes, a Drum-Buffer-Rope (DBR) scheduling method for a Business Process Management System (BPMS) was developed. A procedure by which business process efficiency can be improved using these concepts is presented. To validate our approach, a series of simulations of a real banking process was conducted, on the basis of which the applicability of the proposed method was analyzed. Based on the analysis results, we show that the TOC-based method can improve business process efficiency, particularly under heavy workloads with limited resources. And we suggest, accordingly, several guidelines that can be followed for the efficient management of business processes.     

基于6 Sigma的流程自优化系统研究

近年来，国内外的企业都非常流行业务流程重组(BPR)。刚时，作为买现业务流程集成的有效途径之一的工作流技术（Wfm)也扩大到了多个领域。但是，现有的WfM技术和BPR并没有很好的结合起来。为了通过工作流系统的实施来有效的实现企业的BPR，有必要开发基于企业业务流程的工作流系统。通过引入最新的质量管理思想——6 Sigma理论，对业务流程数据进行分析和统计，并且根据工作流系统的特点，设计出具有智能报警功能和流程优化决策方案的流程自优化系统。     

XML在工作流管理系统中的应用

探讨了XML在描述工作流过程定义、实现应用代理和Web工作流管理系统等方面的应用,以提高工作流系统的性能、可扩展性和互操作能力,简化其实现、实施和使用。     

水电企业生产管理集成应用系统中WfMS的设计

在分布式网络应用环境下小何进行网络资源协调及信息安全控制,使企业业务过程能正常、有序工作,是一个非常重要的问题;而工作流管理技术的发展为解决这一问题提供了很好的途径。该文主要分析了水电企业生产管理集成应用系统中存在的典型工作流,并在此环境下设计了一个切合实际的工作流管理系统。     

Analysing factors impacting BPMS performance: a case of a challenged technology adoption

Business Process Management Suites (BPMSs) have been adopted in organisations to model, improve and automate business processes as they aim to increase the quality, efficiency and agility of their business processes. Yet, many organisations struggle to achieve the benefits they expected from a BPMS. This interpretive case study in a large South African financial services organisation explains factors found to negatively impact successful BPMS adoption. The paper describes how an IT team struggled to increase process agility with a BPMS in a large legacy application landscape. The dominant factors causing the struggle were the difficulty of integrating with other applications and a lack of governance around BPM. Interesting findings on the difficulties in resourcing BPM IT teams are presented. The impact of BPM strategy, culture and governance on BPM methods, resourcing, data and technology is explained. The BPM literature lacks empirical qualitative case studies and theoretical models. This paper aimed to contribute to both needs. The theoretical contribution of this paper is two models. The first inductively derived explanatory contextual model should be useful for practitioners wanting to adopt a BPMS. Using this study’s findings and models from the literature, a second, more generic explanatory model of information system performance is derived for a BPMS.

     

A systematic literature review on the architecture of business process management systems

Due to the high complexity of modern-day business, organizations are forced to quickly adapt to a wide range of cutting-edge developments. These developments influence the structure and behavior of the business processes that represent the work and of the Business Process Management Systems (BPMS) that support them. Consequently, the architecture of BPMS has changed a lot over the past two decades. However, there is no systematic overview of the research done in this area since the Workflow reference model first set the standard for BPMS architecture in 1995. To bridge this gap, this paper presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of BPMS architectures, by analyzing 41 primary studies taken from a gross collection of 608 research papers. The BPMS architectures that served as primary studies were compared with respect to the reference architecture that they are based on, the level of elaboration at which they are described, the architectural styles that they use, the means with which they are evaluated, and the functionality that they support. The resulting comparison provides an overview of and insights into the current body of knowledge on BPMS architectures.     

Defining the resource perspective in the development of processes-aware information systems

ContextThe resource perspective has impact on the performance of business processes. However, current Workflow Management Systems (WfMSs) provide disparate support to its implementation and business process modeling languages provide limited capabilities for its definition. Thus, it is difficult to specify requirements regarding this perspective and to select an appropriate WfMS to support them in order to obtain a technological solution aligned with the organizational needs.ObjectiveTo provide support to the definition, implementation, verification and validation of resource perspective requirements in the development of Process-Aware Information Systems (PAISs) based on WfMSs.MethodThe following activities were carried out: (i) identification of resource perspective aspects in executable workflow specifications, (ii) analysis of the elements provided by the BPMN modeling language to represent these aspects, (iii) development of a framework based on BPMN for defining and implementing these aspects by using the extension mechanism provided by this language, (iv) development of a model-driven development method that leverages the framework to develop PAISs, and (v) validation of the proposed framework and method through the development of a tool supporting them, a case study, and the evaluation against the Workflow Resource Patterns.ResultsA framework, a method and a tool that support the definition of the resource perspective in the development of PAISs.ConclusionBy using the proposed framework and method, practitioners are able to: define the resource perspective requirements in conceptual process models, select a WfMS as implementation platform, and define the implementation of these requirements maintaining the consistency between the conceptual process models and the workflow specifications.
