The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a global standard organisation established under the Presidency of Lord Kelvin in 1906. All medical equipment standards in IEC are dealt with by Technical Committee (TC) 62, and within this, Medical Imaging Equipment Standards are developed under the guidance of Subcommittee (SC) 62B. In September 2005, a special meeting of a Steering Group of IEC SC 62B was held to review X-ray standards and to identify an approach to new standards in this field. The agenda for new standards arising from this was definitively established and consolidated, concentrating on whole systems, with the aspiration of returning later to acceptance test and QA standards. A liaison was also established between SC 62B and SENTINEL. In addition, it was decided to review SC 62B's liaisons with the International Atomic Energy Agency and International Commission on Radiological Protection and some national/international professional bodies.  相似文献

In 2008, the National Institute of Standards and Technology and Energetics Incorporated collaborated with the International Electrotechnical Commission Technical Committee 113 (IEC TC 113) on nano-electrotechnologies to survey members of the international nanotechnologies community about priorities for standards and measurements to accelerate innovations in nano-electrotechnologies. In this paper, we analyze the 459 survey responses from 45 countries as one means to begin building a consensus on a framework leading to nano-electrotechnologies standards development by standards organizations and national measurement institutes. The distributions of priority rankings from all 459 respondents are such that there are perceived distinctions with statistical confidence between the relative international priorities for the several items ranked in each of the following five Survey category types: 1) Nano-electrotechnology Properties, 2) Nano-electrotechnology Taxonomy: Products, 3) Nano-electrotechnology Taxonomy: Cross-Cutting Technologies, 4) IEC General Discipline Areas, and 5) Stages of the Linear Economic Model. The global consensus prioritizations for ranked items in the above five category types suggest that the IEC TC 113 should focus initially on standards and measurements for electronic and electrical properties of sensors and fabrication tools that support performance assessments of nano-technology enabled sub-assemblies used in energy, medical, and computer products.  相似文献

An International Round Robin (IRR) has been completed in the measurement of three infrared extinction coefficients (alphas) used in the recent quality specification for synthetic quartz as revised and augmented by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), to be known as the Second Edition of IEC Publication 758. These results, more comprehensive than from earlier round robins, have enabled an improved standardization and coordination of alpha test limits at the three wavenumbers in international use: 3410, 3500, and 3585 cm-. The IRR revealed that among the 17 participating infrared instruments used each had its individual three long term biases (within the claimed ranges of instrument accuracy). Low range corrections to the alphas for participating instruments have been reported by the IRR committee to participants and at a 1992 US Electronic Industries Association meeting. The alpha interrelationships from this round robin also enable improved coordination of 5 MHz Q indication formulas in the three measured alphas for those who need to refer to alpha-indicated Q's. The grade test limits as stated in alphas, now accepted for direct standard test use, bypass Q calibrations and other potential sources of grading confusion. The convergence of alpha averages as the IRR results were recorded suggests that they are stable and, will contribute to improved coordination of synthetic quartz grading  相似文献

The International Basic Safety Standards for Protection Against Ionizing Radiation and for the Safety of Radiation Sources (BSS) require, inter alia, the establishment and implementation of quality assurance programmes to ensure that protection and safety requirements are met. The findings and conclusions of the International Conference on Topical Issues in Nuclear and Radiation Safety held in Vienna in 1998 includes, among others, the following recommendation concerning occupational radiation protection: The BSS require a quality assurance (QA) programme to be established as part of radiological protection. Extensive guidance for the development of a QA system is given in reports of ISO and IEC, but further guidance is needed on the interpretation and implementation of these standards. This paper is focused on the available international standards on quality assurance and on the work the IAEA is currently carrying out for their implementation in radiation monitoring services.  相似文献

This paper presents IEC/SC 45B 'Radiation protection instrumentation' and its standards for individual monitoring of ionising radiation: IEC 61526 Ed. 3 for active personal dosemeters and IEC 62387-1 for passive integrating dosimetry systems. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) flicker standard 61000-4-15, which was originally proposed for 230 V/50 Hz systems in Europe and further revised with an amendment to include the necessary modifications for 120 V/60 Hz systems in North America, is becoming more internationally adopted for evaluating the flicker severity. Since the IEC flicker standard is restricted to work on systems with 230 V/50 Hz or 120 V/60 Hz, however, the IEC standard cannot be directly applied to the other power systems beyond its coverage (e.g. 220 V/60 Hz systems in South Korea). A new weighting filter derived from lamp tests, new reference points and a new performance test specification to accommodate 220 V/60 Hz systems in South Korea, complying with the IEC standard, are proposed. The proposed weighting filter, reference points and performance test specification provide a practical guide to develop flicker meters for 220 V/60 Hz systems in South Korea.  相似文献

电子电气产品中限用物质的管理是电工行业面临的新挑战,为了帮助业界全面、正确地做好应对工作,需要对相关国际标准化工作的动态进行分析和研究。作为新成立的国际电工委员会电子电气产品和系统的环境标准化技术委员会,正在开展一系列的标准化起草工作,旨在系统地解决电工产品的环境问题。为了维护我国的产业利益,我国参与了IEC/TC111标准制定工作并积极提交新标准提案。在中国的机械拆分提案中首次提出非均质检测单元、最小拆分单元、风险评估、归类合并等概念,并得到成员国的普遍接受。  相似文献

The main objective of this note is to complement the excellent work on supply chain risk classification by Rangel et al. [International Journal of Production Research, vol. 52 (7), 2014]. In this note, we consider the use of ISO/IEC (International Organisation for Standardisation/International Electrotechnical Commission) norms to support the supply chain risk classification. Its purpose is to develop, maintain and promote standards in the fields of information technology and information communications technology. Therefore, to improve on the work by Rangel et al. (2014), ISO 27036 (Information Security for Supplier Relationship) and ISO 28000 (Specification for Security Management Systems for the Supply Chain) are aligned with ISO 31000 (Risk Management–Risk Assessment Techniques). Furthermore, since supply chain risk management does not have a standardised process, these norms, particularly ISO 31000, can serve as a guide to improve its implementation.  相似文献
